Mountain Fun

Mountain Fun is the sister of Prime Climb. While Prime Climb is a full-​on climbing gym, Mountain Fun is for true beginners and kids (they do birthday parties!). I came with a group of my friends for a ladies night out adventure. We had the place to ourselves which was really nice. The price on a weeknight was $ 15 for one hour. The staff were helpful and encouraging, explaining the basics of hooking up your harness, climbing, and easing yourself back down. I had particular trouble with that last concept, but the helpful employee talked me out of my panic attack and worked with me on some «baby steps» to getting comfortable with the cable mechanism. I did eventually make it up a couple of beginner walls, and halfway up the cargo net, so I considered it a personal victory. I hope to come back again, hopefully when I’m in better shape than I am now so I can see what I can do!

We had my son’s 7^th birthday at Mountain Fun. The kids had a great time and even those that were apprehensive about heights climbed the whole 75minutes. The staff was friendly and supportive. The belaying system let the kids down slowly and safely. We’d go there again.
