The kitchenette and bathroom were tiled. The place felt more like crashing at friend’s apartment, than a motel. If you have ANY business to do within 30 miles, you should stay here. Easy access to the highway, local restaurants and a gigantic Walmart all within striking distance define this home away from home.
They have internet, but bring your own ethernet cable. The staff is courteous, informative, and will even call ahead to see if restaurants you are interested in locally have seating. Beyond your typical roadside dwelling, the Duplin is not just a good option… it is a welcoming one.
