Nice staff but speak LOUDLY when ordering your food & drink as the acoustics in this place give way to echo-y, noisy chatter that’s hard to hear over. Definitely a comfort to find a Starbucks as I do appreciate chain-store consistency when traveling. 4 Stars instead of 5 for not having almond milk. Pete’s coffee carries almond milk, folks. Please start doing so too! Thanks.

Friendly staff, great drinks. Barely visited from SLC and everyone was very easy to warm up to — on the plus side, the establishment is within walking distance of most of the hotels like many of the attractions in Walla Walla. Laid back establishment where you can sit down and network for a bit, especially because Wi-Fi is speedy.

Too crowded and noisy. Not a good place to go to just hang out. You can’t hear the person across the table from you. Their hot chocolate is very good. But it’s a nightmare getting in and out, so I’d rather go around the corner to Coffee Perk where I can get a drink, food, and actually be able to have a conversation.

Great staff, pretty decent sound level for a Starbucks, too.

The Christmas season draws to a close and this Starbucks continues to remain a 5-star establishment. The décor was upgraded in 2015 and although the comfy couch bit the dust, there are still two soft chairs that are sometimes empty and grabable(is that a word?). The baristas are still expert at making any Starbucks drink you want. They will check the quality of the shots before serving them. You can rely on full-bodied coffee flavor in your drink. If you are a regular, they will remember your drink and serve it to you with a smile and a brief comment about some relevant snippet. Even though this is a chain store, it still employs local people and thus contributes to the local economy. You will not go wrong if you try this Starbucks which is smack in the center of downtown.

I enjoy the quiet at 5:30 in the morning when they open. Friendly staff and great coffee. They did remodel which made the interior more modern and beautiful, but lost the comfortable seating. Speedy wifi too.

The staff! Excellent. The sad part is that on weekends we have to give up «our Bux» for all the tourists. It’s also nice to have the recent addition of a clover machine and the exotic coffees. Now if only we could get the freshly made items like the big cities get. Now that would be cool.

Walla Walla, WA, Starbucks at 28 E Main Street. I didn’t get a positive feel when I entered. The staff was rude and snobby. They didn’t ask my name for my drink, they just yelled out the drink for whomever. They wouldn’t sell me a breakfast sandwich unless I had it heated. I wanted it for the next morning. Never had I had THAT say to me before. Aren’t these sealed in a plastic bag and kept in the refrigerator?! I will not return to this location, and unless you are desperate, I suggest you don’t either.

The bad: Starbucks is a corporate giant, chain coffeehouse. After reading«Pour Your Heart Into It,» maybe that isn’t a bad thing. The good: Everything else. Starbucks can be found almost everywhere(except Colfax, Washington, at that«Y» where Highway 195 and 26 meet. Hey, Starbucks, if you are reading this, you could make a nice profit at that location in my opinion). My palette didn’t include coffee until age 42 when the first Starbucks Vanilla Latte slid down ever so smoothly, and hence, my habit grew to include even black coffee(gasp). Whether it is a Vanilla Latte, a Caramel Macchiato, an Americano, Peppermint Mocha or the new Flat White, I can count on the same taste sensation at almost every Starbucks store(except that one time in Lucerne, Switzerland, when my Vanilla Latte was the creamiest EVER – foreign cows?). The baristas at this particular location know my name(but that is a requirement for employees to know names of regulars according to the«book»; still, it makes me feel special). They also know my drink(«Want the usual?» «Getting your regular?»), which is nice when pronouncing caramel(tricky) and macchiato(Italian). I can just say«sure» and pay(more on paying later). Today, however, I threw the baristas a curveball and ordered the new tall Flat White in a stay-at-the-store ceramic cup(grandes are available, just not on the menu, but the barista said the tall was recommended for the true experience). New from Starbucks, but not new to coffee drinkers in Australia nor the UK(I read the propaganda, I mean, literature about the new drink), I made a beeline to a position near the bar to watch it being made. There is a secret to getting that perfect white circle in the middle of the drink, but at the time she poured it, I was busy checking into Unilocal,so for now, that will remain a secret. The Flat White doesn’t need pumps of sugar(my doctor says the same thing about my body) because it contains the sweetness of whole milk and two ristretto shots(yes, two in a tall), whatever ristretto is. With more espresso flavor, less milk and no pumps of sugar, I was left with a wholesome, satisfied feeling. Paying: Another reason I look for the green siren, Starbucks iconic logo, is the ease of paying with my Gold Card(registered membership) on the Starbucks app, which automatically reloads by charging my credit card, which is automatically paid from my bank account(bonus: for every 12 stars, I get a drink free; bonus-bonus: paid by my airline mileage plan credit card, $ 1=1 mile). Couldn’t get any easier than that. No worries about carrying cash or even a credit card. Have phone, have coffee. Yes, just hook me up to an IV of Starbucks, please.

Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Tasty drinks. What’s not to like? The location is fantastic if you like being in the beautiful downtown of Walla Walla. On a warm day it’s great to just sit outside and enjoy the meandering bustle of locals and tourists walking by.

Was less than impressed with today’s visit although this location has been good in the past. The floors were filthy and trash area was dirty, too. Sure wish the baristas were friendlier too. Hope I have better luck next time. Or maybe I’ll just buy local and skip Starbucks.

If you’re looking for the branded, trademark flavored that Starbucks offers, you won’t be disappointed. This Starbucks is a little cramped indoors, but the outdoor patio seating makes up for the shortfall of interior space. Nice location too.
