The room was clean, but the tv really blew. There weren’t enough towels and when I asked for an extra blanket I got the hairy eyeball… like it was super inconvenient to ask for enmities that should come standard. Also had to ask for more towels which we had to hunt for. The breakfast was a joke… bread, powdered oatmeal and cold coffee. I’ve stayed in many Days Inns before… this one ranks towards the bottom. Next time I’ll reconsider saving a few dollars for the sake of comfort.

How could a hotel be worse? I suppose they could have had mice or rats. I swear I stepped into a time machine as this hotel was straight out of the nineties. Should I give this hotel an extra star for reminding me of my childhood? Nah! Everything… the wallpaper, TV, comforter, dresser, etc. were at least 15 years old. There were 4 of us sharing a room. One of the mattresses that we slept on was just fine, but the other mattress creaked every time you moved. You could feel every spring pushing through the mattress. Both of the people who stayed in that bed woke up as sore as ever and they are both in shape. Now someone reading this may say«Wow this is a stuck up prick who is expecting too much out of a Days Inn.» However, there are many hotels and motels for much cheaper than the $ 70 that we payed that offer better experiences(think even Super 8, America’s best, etc.). On top of everything that I have already mentioned, the ice maker does not work. There IS an icemaker but it is covered in layers of dust and there is not even a visible power cord to try to plug in. I’m not sure how many years it has been since the ice maker has been running. At least if your ice maker does not work, get rid of it! Don’t pretend like you have an ice maker for appearances sake. The nice thing about this hotel is that our experiences(e.g. lack of sleep) caused us to wake up earlier than expected and get moving on our trip quicker so that we could hit the bars earlier. THEREISANUPDATETOTHISREVIEWAS I TYPE: there are mice!!! As we were leaving, we had to pass by a mouse running across the stairs.
