Got a salad today from slice. The portion was good… salad was a bit flavorless including their house dressing. The girl who rings up customers is rude and has a horrible attitude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her for being there. Found two hairs in my salad and am now disgusted. Safe to say I won’t be back.

Ha. I went back to Slice recently after having stayed away for over a year. Amazingly the food is still very good but the attitude of the people working there is still frigid. Cheer up guys! Your food is great. Why so bummed out?

Great food here, truly a hidden gem. A lot of my former co-workers used to RAVE about this place, and after recently moving down the street I decided to give it a try. I have eaten here 5 – 10 times, and honestly havent ventured far from the pizza and subs. Thus far I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, politeness of the staff and the apparent tight knit customer base you can see every time you go in. Awesome food, keep up the good work.

We recently moved to the neighborhood and Slice has become our go to place! The pizza is delicious and their Slice Salad & Slice Sub are incredible! Delicious sliced breaded cutlets served over lettuce, red roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes with a white balsamic dressing — so, so good! Recently tried their tuna sub(and I admit I am very weary of Tuna) it was fantastic, one of the bests I’ve had at a sub shop. Definitely a must try!

This place is great, many might not think so because it is attached to a gas station. The food is wonderful and i have never been disappointed! I love going here. I usually order the pressed chicken sandwich, which is to die for!

In essence, Slice is a hidden gem. Located in the back corner of a gas station convenience store, they serve some of the best and largest pizza slices around. On the menu with their delicious pizza are perfectly portioned, cooked and seasoned subs with their homemade red sauce. If your in the mood for a delicious lunch for a VERY reasonable price, head over to slice, your taste buds will thank you for every bite.

For this native New Yorker, I love the neapolitan slices. Hard to find in the Boston area. But I’m not going back until the parking situation improves. The last 2 times there I got jones’ed by some hammerheads who stole the spot I was waiting for. Today was a mouthy teenager who I wanted to punch. But I figured it’s not worth it for a $ 3 slice. So I went to Fred’s Franks on the lake and calmed down. C’mon guys. You’ve outstripped the gas station scene. Time to move. See you then. BTW: 5 stars for pizza, minus 3 for the parking

This place is hands down my favorite pizza place in the greater Boston area. The slices are absolutely amazing. Yesterday after my regular slice I decided to get a dessert slice of Sicilian and it was the best square I’ve ever had. I wish I lived closer. Thank you kind sirs!

This pizza den is behind a gas station. And yes it deserves 5 stars. Since moving up from Brooklyn, I’ve realized this is the only place in the Boston area that makes pizza right!

OK, I know I have reviewed this place numerous times in the past but there is a REASON for this, the food… it’s that good. This place deserves the praise I give, they earned it. I went in there tonight for a «Slice Signature Sub» and«Eggplant Parm Sub» and came home with a gourmet meal and a free large pepperoni pizza for just being a customer the owners said, for no reason, they didnt make me wait or because they messed up my order or anything, just because… That, to me, tells me they care, and if they care in general, then they are going to care about the food, and it shows easily… The location is hidden they way it is on purpose, they bring this joint to Boston, Regina wont stand a chance, this place has amazing pizza and sandwiches, only place to eat in wakefield, if you dont know about this place, forget that your sleeping, you flat-lined, homie… trust me, call 911 or come try a slice or sub and tell me I am wrong, cause I am not, and the staff in there are real people that care… they should change there name from SLICE to SARAN, cause its a WRAP!

I just have to review this place. It is amazing. I want to start by saying, I don’t even go into gas stations for snacks/chips/etc, so never in a MILLION years would I think that my new favorite pizza place would be in a gas station! my boyfriend even said to me «what made you try that place? its not a type of place you would just normally try» and he is right. but DONT let the fact that this pizza place is in a gas station deter you. You will NOT be disappointed! The slices are HUGE! and they are soooo delicious! the sauce is great and it always comes out PIPINGHOT! the ONLY negative is that it is always busy at lunch and you need to call in your order ahead of time otherwise it will take an awful long time. But I discovered this place only 2 months ago and have since told at least 5 people about how amazing it is!

I’m here for the week for work and the office’s deli just didn’t tickle my fancy. I came out here for lunch and ordered the two slices lunch deal. Basically, it’s half a pizza and a fountain drink for $ 8! The pizza is good too! Not very oily, the toppings have flavor, and it only took a few minutes for the food to be ready. A colleague had a meatball sandwich and she liked it. I might try their pasta next time, but then again the pizza was good so I’m tempted to stick with a safe option. As mentioned in other reviews, the shop is in a gas station; but it’s probably the cleanest gas station I’ve ever been in.

Now, if you asked me about 2 years ago where my favorite pizza place was, I might say Slice(this place). However, that changed last year. Last year, they reopened their business after merging with a gas station. I was glad, I hadn’t have their pizza in almost a year! So I came back the day of the reopening. The service was pretty happy and I got a cheese pizza. Now, I believe the old Slice before the renovation had a thicker crust(which I like better), and to me it seems like now the Slice pizza has a crispier crust. But to me, everything else for the pizza stayed the same: sauce, greasiness, cheese, etc. Anyways, they merged with a gas station(I believe it’s something Prime), and inside the Slice building is also a mini-gas station convenience store. They’ve got all the snacks and drinks you’d expect, which is a huge plus for those that like to stay in the building and eat their pizza. They only have around 4 tables, which are mostly filled. The lines are sometimes long depending on the day, and there is a TV which I believe is set to a sports channel. But it is a family business and there’s no peanut oil, and I like how it’s causal. So, I’ll give it 4 stars :)

i work in Wakefield, just discovered this spot. and OMG. i will never order Pizza/Chicken Fingers from any other place around. Pizza slice is huge and not too greasy and the pepperoni was not salty as others. chicken fingers one order had like 10 pieces and juicy and fluffy!

I had been to the old location a few times. It was small town sub shoppy if that makes sense, but the food was amazing(due to their connections to the now defunct Za Za on Rt 1) with unexpected surprises like custom made arancini. I haven’t seen these hand made to order this side of the North End… and better than Grandma used to make. The old location was demolished and an AL Prime gas station/convenience store installed in it’s place and the old Slice was built into the new c-store. Not that the other location was anything to brag about, but I have a hang up about convenience stores and quality food being mutually exclusive. If there are exceptions to every rule, Slice is just that. I was happy to find that the new place is everything the old place was as far as the overall quality and variety of food goes, but trapped in a cold and impersonal setting. Something was certainly lost with the move into the gas station, but the last place was mostly a take-out joint and if that’s what you’re doing it’s not going to impact you at all. The pizza is flavorful and crisp and the meatballs taste home made. I love the Slice Salad and also the chicken/broccoli rabe sub. I haven’t had anything I can find room to complain about here. Limited seating and the idea that I’m eating good food in a gas station convenience store takes a star.

Was brought here by my girlfriend and had never heard of it. It apparently just opened up after some construction was done. It is inside of a gas station convenience store. Sounds odd, but still has a small seating section and a TV to boot. If you don’t get a drink from them, they have plenty in the coolers on the convenience side. I got 2 slices, which gets you a free fountain drink. The slices are HUGE(¼ of a pizza). The guys that work there aren’t the most outgoing and friendly unless you’re a regular, but I could careless about that. I’m there for good food. The menu has a bunch of other goodies on it that I’ve yet to try, but my girlfriend has and she’s liked it all.

The crust is soft and crispy. The sauce is bland and flavorless, but the quality of the cheese and toppings are good. Overall it’s an ok suburban pizza joint. I think their pizza is better than most of the places in their area. I also think they need to work on their customer service. I’m not sure if it was just me or not, but the guy taking my order seemed to have a bit of an attitude or arrogance problem. I was only ordering one pizza, but you would think I was irritating him just by making him answer the phone. The conversation felt like«We’re Slice pizza, we don’t need your business. Now hurry up and order.» Well Slice, while you were away on the longest construction project ever, a newcomer has moved into town and won the taste buds of many of your customers, including myself. I have to say that Big Jon’s produces a very good pizza that easily beats Slice and most pizza places north of Boston. Before going to Slice, I’d give Big Jon’s a try.
