I am not sure about the other services offered here but the masseuse, Jennifer, is incredible. I have gotten countless massages at other places but since I got a massage from Jennifer I cannot go anywhere else. Highly recommend her!

I agree with the intimidation of the people who work here. I was NOT happy with the services I received here but luckily I was able to after making several phone calls To the salon — Get a well deserved refund. I went here for eyelash extensions but did not feel comfortable At all. I could go on and on but why bother. I was Not told how to care for the Eyelash Extensions So, therefore a lot of them fell off. I can’t remember The person’s name that applied them… Kristy Krissy whatever her name was –NOT friendly and barely Spoke. They tried to charge me more than quoted On the phone but that issue was finally rectified. Overall so DISAPPOINTED… Will not be going back For any of their services… Even if they offered a huge Discount !! Too many better and welcoming salons In and around Wakefield!

I agree with some of the other posts where you are looked up & down when walking in. The reason I gave it 2 stars was that I had been seeing Taylor for the past year and absolutely loved my hair & color every time and recently called to make an appointment with her. Well the person who answered the phone informed me that Taylor no longer worked there and proceeded to bash the poor girl. I may have opted for an appointment with another stylist — but not after such a display of unprofessionalism. Now my hunt for another stylist begins again…

I had high hopes for this place… unfortunately, maybe a little too high. When I entered, I also got the up and down from the woman standing there-I just told myself this was because I must have had a cute dress on. Turns out, she was the person giving my facial… Michelle. I go to a facial for two reasons…1) I want to see a difference in my skin afterwards, and 2) I want to relax. Well, aside from some cleaner pores, my skin is not glowing or noticeably different the next day. The facial was ok. There was an «ultrasonic» wand that was used to massage products onto my skin-didn’t really feel like there was much to that. Then a heat mask was strapped to my face-felt a little like Hannibal Lector as she left the room for 6 – 8 minutes. Then a really nice neck and shoulder massage, very little of it was a facial massage. Then another«pomegranate mask» applied while she left the room for 6 – 8 minutes and the music ended. All I heard was squeaky floors outside the room. Afterwards, I checked out the hair wrap and hot towels she used on me… super dingy as if they’ve been used hundreds of times without being replaced as I think they were supposed to be white. I also didn’t feel that I got to relax much… I think your aesthetician or massage therapist should be chatty if the client initiates it, but if not, please, we are fine not saying anything and just enjoying. I don’t really care about your other clients who travel in from Dubai or your children’s experience with their skin in second grade. It’s not that I’m not friendly-I just want to enjoy my facial and relax. Afterwards the people checking you out are sitting low behind a counter… I’ve never been to a spa where two people are sitting at the front desk-seemed very unprofessional and not promoting a chic, healthy vibe. There was no tip option on the credit card slip, nobody asked if I wanted to add a tip to the bill, and there was no place to put cash into an envelope for a tip. Total cost was $ 115. Michelle was nice but the place is in serious need of some renovations(new wood floors with padding underneath so every move doesn’t cause it to squeak would help).

I went to this salon for a bikini & eyebrow wax recently. It was my first time to the salon. I’m giving it 2 stars for a few reasons: First, when I walked into the salon(about 15 minutes before my appointment), the 2 women behind the counter just kind of looked at me; I did not feel welcome. Second, Christy, who gave me the wax was fine, nothing good, nothing terrible; she moved along really quickly with not much interest in small talk; she moved so quickly, however, that attention to detail and care for the service was lacking. It was pretty uneven & sloppy. Third, when it came time to pay both of the women behind the counter were looking down at their cell phones. I stood there for several moments before either of them even looked up. I paid with my credit card, then stood there for several more moments while they immediately put their heads back down toward their phones. My $ 20 bill was on the counter and I stood their waiting for change for gratuity. Eventually one woman looked up, «Oh!», surprised to see me. I should have just walked out, they wouldn’t have even noticed. I will not be back. The price tags say«upscale»; the customer service says, «apathetic». From the moment I walked in, through my service, to paying for my service, I felt like my business was interrupting their day.

I have been going here for years for facials. Michelle, my aesthetician, is fabulous. I love her and if she ever retires I will stalk her. She has been my skin’s life saver. She always has the latest products and manages to improve my skin. I highly recommend her. I also love that the spa has a separate waiting area away from the blow dryers and chit chat from the hair salon. I also have been there for eyelash extensions and airbrush makeup. I am obsessed with the eyelash extensions since I used to go through falsies and mascara by the case. With extensions you don’t ever have to wear mascara again and your lashes look perfect the moment you wake up. I also like the airbrush makeup for special occasions. I have only had my hair blow dried and styled there, which always comes out really great, but I am considering getting my hair colored there as well just because they are so convenient. I’m just so scared of breaking up with my current stylist who is much farther away. As far as reviews with complaints about rude front desk. I have never had a problem and I usually walk in looking like a ragga-muffin. I think maybe because the front desk people sit so low when you walk up to the high partition it just seems awkward to have people staring up at you. If they were seated heads above the partition it might not seem so weird.

This place is ridiculous! They are a salon in Wakefield, not Newbury or NYC they act like it though-the employees that is. I would not go here and get ripped off ever again, when you can go to other local salon that does an unbelievable job for 1⁄3 of the price. Afterall its the stylist that matters in a salon not the décor! Save your time and money, go elsewhere!

I didn’t have the best experience with this salon and my Unilocal review is funny as heck however, after the owner of the salon read my review on Unilocal he went out of his way to apologize and try and make it up to me. I thought this was a kind gesture so I feel its only fair to upgrade them to three stars for customer service.

I used to go here for years when I was younger(even before they moved down the block to their new location). I saw Josephine at first, she was always really nice and easy to talk to but eventually she got very popular and getting an appointment with her became more and more difficult, then I believe she moved to their Saugus location so I switched to Shirley who used to sit beside her. I love Shirley! She is so friendly & easy to talk to and she’s always smiling. She always offered great advice and I was never disappointed with my cut. I also got my eyebrows waxed for years here, at first I saw Diane(who i don’t believe is there anymore) and Michelle. Michelle is really nice as well! whenever I have time to stop in now I always get a hug and a big«how are you!?». The reason I only gave them 3 stars is because one time I had to get a corrective color done(not with my usual stylist. it was with whoever was available when I called) and they charged me over $ 300. I called other local salons afterward and most said it would’ve been under $ 100. rip off? yeah. which is surprising because I’d been going there for a long time. some other negatives: 1. parking is awful, 2. sometimes they run behind and you have to wait a long time and 3. I would never dream of walking in without an appointment for a haircut, you really have to call ahead.

I have been going to this salon for years, even while I was living in another city. Shirley is my stylist and she is awesome. She is the only stylist I have been to that understands how to cut my wavy hair. She is great with color too. I have also had facials here and they are wonderful. Very relaxing atmosphere. My face was glowing when I left. I wish the waiting area was more inviting but I really have never had to wait. I love the variety of people… I could be sitting next to a 50 year old woman or a 12 year old with braces.

Got a massage here last weekend at 10am. When I walked in, two stylists hanging out at the front desk looked me up and down before asking how they could help me. Nice. My masseuse was nice and sweet, but her massage room was a little disappointing… you could hear everything going on outside in the salon area and the stylists chatting outside. Also, the towel they placed on the head rest was dirty and smelly.(I’m kicking myself for not saying anything) The sheets seemed a little sticky, that they hadn’t changed them before I arrived. The massage therapist was wonderful and really had a nice manner and I liked my massage a lot! I did find it difficult when she followed me to the front desk, watched me pay and waited for her tip. I wouldn’t go back, but it’s not a terrible place.
