The kal bi kimchee sushi is so tasty! Nice big, fat rolls too. Super quick service and reasonable price. Friendly and fun to chatb with, plus great location in the middle of the outlets. Would go again!

The spicy ahi donburi is sooo good. Although, I wish this place was cheaper but I guess it’s expensive because Waikele has such a high traffic for tourists. Even though they offer an outlet discount (I think it’s 10%) if you’re an employee at one of the stores in Waikele, it only saves me a couple cents. Other than that, I’ve only tried their spicy ahi don and California roll and they’re pretty good.
Oh! And I see people complaining a lot about the wait, but for me, it literally took less than 3 minutes whenever I ordered my ahi don so I guess this place has a bunch of mixed experiences

I was surprised when i saw the rating of this sushi place. I really enjoyed my time here. The cashier was vey nice. The food was really good! The size of the sushi was bugger than any other sushi places I have been to. I will love to visit again. I read the reviews and it said that it was overpriced, but I find it reasonable.

I was very upset that I had to wait 25 minutes for my YPO Maki. I came in, there was no line, as I waited for my food, almost 2 dozen orders were taken and each of them got their food in 5 minutes. When I asked what was taking so long, the cashier said they had a mix up with my order. They didn’t offer to give anything even due the fact that they had a «mix up!» If I didn’t ask, I don’t think the cashier would’ve checked in on my order.

This place is inside the waikele premium outlet. I ordered the standard udon and the teriyaki chicken donburri. The udon had thick noodles and some relatively hot soup in a small portion and that’s it. Not worth the nearly $ 9 you pay for this dish. The Terri chicken was OK, just your standard rice, BBQ chicken, and inari. The BBQ chicken and rice was warn and tasted pretty good, the inari had a funny aftertaste and was cold like it just came from the fridge. My food came fast unlike some of the other reviews have said so these dishes were probably prepared beforehand. I saw tons of others waiting for their food and looking a little impatient… so bottom line I would avoid this place.

The first time I tried this place it was alright. I had their chicken strips with French fries. I really enjoyed the fries. Fresh & crispy. This is the second time my bf & I went and it wasn’t great at all. We ordered side fries and it was soggy. No crisp to it at all. And it was cold. I also got their tempura maki. That didn’t taste well either. It tasted like beer. Either the rice was old or they just put too much rice vinegar. My bf got the spicy don and he said the rice tasted like beer as well. On top of that we waited for a while for our order. Really disappointed!

If you’re looking for cheap sushi, don’t come here.
If you’re looking for high quality sushi… Also don’t come here.
If you’re looking for a quick bite in the area and you only want sushi, this is the place!
The sushi is kind of overpriced for the quality but it gets the job done when you’re craving it and Genki is packed. The red haired cashier I always see is very nice and always welcomes me with a smile. She is also very easy to talk to while you’re waiting for your order. If you go there regularly, she remembers your order which is nice because it shows she pays attention to the customers.
I’ve been here a good 5 – 7 times and haven’t had bad customer service like the others have mentioned. But maybe I’m just lucky!

Service needs to step up their game. Seriously I’m currently waiting for my order it’s been 15 freakin minutes. For all of you reading this, Don’t come to this place to eat sushi, Service is beyond horrible. you’re better off going to Genki and waiting.

I love their chicken wrap and I’d always order it. But one day I went there and ordered my food and the girl crystal forgot to say I was take out, that wasn’t the problem. So she proceeded with what she was doing and told the cook that it was take out. The cook told her «next time you tell me late you have to give me a bj.» Really unnecessary. Ever since then I refused to go back. Didn’t like how that situation went.

The absolutely longest I’ve ever waited for 6 pieces of sushi. Never coming back to wait for mediocre sushi again. At least at genki across the street you get to have your sushi served on boats

I use to enjoy this place but now it seems to be run by little teenage girls. I try to avoid this place as much as possible.
Girls there stare blankly with no «hi» or «what can I get for you today» not even a «thank you» after ordering.
Sweetie, if you hate your job then quit. Take your nasty ass attitude somewhere else, you’re a poor example of customer service.

WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN! First off, the girls there are plain RUDE. They treated the tourist in front of me like he was stupid and then decided talking story amongst themselves was more important than taking my order. Second, me and my 6 month old daughter got FOOD POISONING for TWO days!!! Just from the sushi rice!!! I try calling to speak to manager and was VERY polite and I catch ATTITUDE from the girl that answers!!! So disappointed. I was born and raised here and they are such a bad example of how wonderful things can be here. Take the walk down the road to genki sushi… or mcdonalds for that matter.

This is definitely on the low end of fast food sushi. I would go elsewhere but its close and convienent if you work in the mall. The only thing I love about this place is probably their udon soup, but I decided to try their sushi today, and talk about disappointed. I ordered the shrimp tempura maki and the shrimp had absolutely no crunch to it. It was soggy and had a weird taste to it, like it has been sitting out all day. I found this a little strange considering when I order the shrimp tempura udon on previous visits, the shrimp was crispy. I don’t know if I came on a bad day or what was going on in the kitchen, but I will definitely no longer order sushi from them. I am just going to stick to their udon soup.
On the brighter side, their udon is pretty good. The broth is very flavorable and not too salty. The noodles are always cooked perfectly with a bit of chewyness to them, and I have not been disappointed in the least by their soup. If you like a little spiciness to your soup, I recommend ordering the shrimp udon with kimchi.
As for the customer service, I would say it was average for a food stand. They ask for your order and take your money, and don’t say any kind of welcome or thank you, so I think this could use a little more work so your experience is memorable in a positive way. I always believe a little kindness goes a long way.
As for their menu, it is pretty nice size, with some variety. They also serve a couple of American food items such as chicken tenders and hamburger. I haven’t tried them myself, but have seen quite a bunch of people eating them on the tables in front of the this vendor, so I would imagine it was okay. This place is a solid two stars for me, and I don’t see the quality or the service improving anytime soon, so it will more possibly stay that way.

I patronized this place because I believe they’re the only ones who serve soda from a fountain with ice. I HATE drinking a chilled canned soda. And Waikele is damn HOT?!

The WORST customer service ever!!! The two girls running the cash register need a lesson in manners. They were SO RUDE, and they were slow… the line was stacking up behind me! They were totally rude to the tourists and they were snotty to the guys working in the kitchen.
It really is a shame because the food was actually very good. I ordered the Salmon Maki and the roll was very large and very tasty. If it weren’t for those two girls, I would definitely come back again. But after today, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

MEH. I only ate here because my friend surprised waikele on me… and I hadn’t eaten lunch. I had one of the specialty rolls… cali topped with spicy ahi. It was okayyyyyy, in respect to what options are in that upper part of waikele. If I wasnt with my friend and her mom, I would have walked down to the lower waikele and gotten take out from genki.

Staff could use a few lessons in «Aloha» spirit. However, spicy ahi donburi was a nice surprise.
Will go again, but wish they had some employees that would smile and seem like they enjoyed being there…
