Ogawa Amy DMD

Dr. Ogawa and her Team of receptionist Arlene and hygienists have been taking good care of my Mom and I. We’ve been going here for over 10 years, more than half of my life. I was referred to her and transferred from my previous dentist at Pediatric Dentistry Associate in Pearl City. The gist was I was maturing into a big kid and needed the services of a General Dentist.
Most of my fillings were done by my previous dentist which I have no recollection of. I just go by my parents’ stories of them having to drug me with drowsy meds before our drive over LOL. I do remember still having to get cavities filled after I transferred to Dr. Ogawa. She has a steady hand when injecting the Dental Anesthetic after applying the topical anesthesia. She’s a cool, calm, collected soul — and how rad is it that she surfs?! I’ve never felt anxiety as I did from my previous dentist office. Going to the Dentist no longer scared me thanks to this office. They’re simply awesome.

I had cracked my back tooth and needed to get it worked on. My sister who is a dental hygienist highly recommended Dr. Ogawa. I had called Dr. Ogawa late the same night that I cracked my tooth and she called me the very next morning and was able to schedule me really quickly. When I went in for my appointment Dr. Ogawa and her staff were amazing and helpful.

I highly recommend Dr Amy Ogawa as your dentist. My first visit with Dr Amy Ogawa was fantastic. She restored my upper front teeth with no pain! Her injections were painless! Usually needles to the front teeth are quite painful, but she was awesome. Because my appointment was going to take some time, she allowed me to watch a movie with a goggle like monitor. I was in awe! So while I watched «Sleepless in Seattle», she worked on my teeth. Now I have a beautiful smile! Thank you, Dr Ogawa, you’re amazing.

I used to get serious anxiety when it came to going to the dentist, not anymore. Dr. Ogawa and her staff are highly skilled dental professionals. Not only that, they are personable and actually care about your well being. Their office is small but nice. I’d recommend Dr. Ogawa to anyone.

I have been seeing Dr. Ogawa for over 15 years and she is awesome. Her clinic runs smoothly and all her staff are very professional and well trained. But the reason I am writing this review is how she handles emergency situations. I almost never have teeth problems but my wife had to get a tooth extracted and she was in pain, bad pain, more worse pain than when she gave birth (naturally, twice). Dr. Ogawa was quick to see her and referred her out to an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon could not see her till A MONTH from now but Dr. Ogawa was quick to respond to our crisis and offered to manage her care till my wife could see the oral surgeon. Thankfully a cancelation occured and my wife got to see the surgeon that next day.
Thank you Dr. Ogawa. My whole family sees her. My dad, mom, my wife and my kids and also all my neices and nephews. Dr. Ogawa is great with kids. She is «auntie amy» to them.
If you are looking for a dentist, you should really give Dr. Ogawa a try. You won’t be dissappointed. She has no jingling commercials or over the top advertising like some of the other money hungry dentists. She is just a great dentist with a great staff. She also teaches at the University of Hawaii so her dental background is solid.
