Volunteer run so the hours — although posted 8−1pm — are inconsistent. I’ve been here about three times, and twice it wasn’t open. I’m sure they are open more frequently than that; my bad luck. However, when they are open, the staff is very nice and there are very good deals on household items. For example, I got a mason jar with its lid for 25 cents. I’ve not been able to get into the second, larger building. There’s not much furniture. Today, at least.

This thrift shop is split between two buildings behind St. Anthony’s Church at the intersection of Mill Street and Imi Kala Street. The first building you see coming up the driveway(a newish looking wooden structure) seems to contain predominately Womens Clothing and related accessories with some odds and ends hanging about. The cinder block building across the way and visible from the road contains the bulk of the items, ranging from mens and children’s clothing, to housewares, toys, books, video/DVD’s and other items. These shops are worth a time killer just to see what sort of goodies are in it that you might not see in Savers. Much of the stock screams«Vintage.» Sometimes you can get away with a steal, other times the items are grossly overpriced. The ladies working there are often friendly and helpful. It’s abit cramped in a few areas, and stuff is sometimes stacked haphazardly. Overall, if your in Wailuku, and need to kill a little time in-between an office visit, try here.
