October 2012 visit oh so disappointed.. This place came highly recommended from my Auntie. Said they had the best Siemen … I think NOT! the noodles were over done, so soggy. it had no flavor and the meat in it. yuck! I was thrilled and excited to try it and it made me a little sad and hungry cuz I couldn’t eat much of it. The gentle men who was running the cashier, not the friendliest. but the service was quick. we wont be returning…

It is hard to describe how disappointed I was after ordering a bowl of noodles. I had the cha siu ramen and I would not recommend ordering it. When I got my noodles, it looked nothing like the photo in the menu. I am not really sure what I was expecting… but know that I was driven by hunger to come and after ‘eating’, I left hungry too.

Rude service. Noodles raw and not fully cooked. Broth a bit plain. Avoid.

I went to this place despite the bad reviews and wish I hadn’t. If you’re used to Noodle houses in the San Francisco bay area, prepare to be disappointed. My wife had cold soba noodles with Shrimp Tempura. The tempura looks like a Corn Dog and the noodles are small. I had hot soup with noodles, tasteless bland soup – whoever said Top Ramen is better was right on the money. Forget about going here, even Subway next door makes more honest food.

Probably the worst ramen I have ever eaten Went there as kids wanted to eat in food court that night Should have eaten with them Dumplings were good but overpriced 5 for $ 6.50 Char siu ramen was awful Wow I didn’t think u could mess up on a simple dish but broth tasted like chicken noodle soup No shoyu or miso flavoring at all

Sucked. No exaggeration, top ramen is way better than this. Pay the 19 cents and make a package yourself. Good ramen can be so good. This is THE worst ever. That includes top ramen. You know the kim chee flavored korean ramen that is like $ 1? That $ 1 ramen is 25 times better than this. Ramen is not all that complicated. It is like they are trying to do a bad job. If that is actually their goal, mission accomplished! Go to Subway… or any other place really. This island is not a hotbed of great food, but this restaurant is the worst one on it.

My wife and I came here for quick dinner. I had spicy pork noodles and she had the combination noodles with shredded chicken, pork slices, vegetables and tempura shrimp. Both our bowls were served quickly, so I’d rate them 4 for speed. I immediately tasted my broth and found it very bland. Nothing like what I’m used to in Costa Mesa, Ca. If anything, it reminded me of cup o noodle broth sans tapatio. Despite lacking flavor, I found myself snapping up plentiful slices of port belly with each bite. Considering it’s inside a food court surrounded by pizza and burgers, I give it 2 stars for satiating my noodle craving. By the way, count your change before you walk out because I was shortchanged $ 10.

Even after reading about the grumpy Asian and tasteless noodles we decided it sounds like this place is a love-it or hate-it kind of place. First, the food was good and came fast. It was in a Huge bowl and we added the dumplings as most others do. I had the spicy pork and was really good. To the person who complained you can’t bring the restaurant’s dishes outside to eat — are you serious? You can’t do that at any other restaurant, why here? Because you are on vacation in Hawaii? As to the grumpy lady — what do you expect? She is an older Asian women working in a restaurant. It isn’t anything personal, they are all like that, she is just straight the point and back to her Chinese dramas! I’d go back here again when I’m in Kona, great place to get a little affordable Asian fare. P. S. — you want bad service? Go to the ice cream place just outside, its run by a bunch of pierced punks who argue with customers over a $ 1 coupon.

Came here for lunch. Despite being busy, food came out really quickly. Had the cold noodles with chicken. Lots of noodles and a fair amount of veggies, but the chicken was just boiled chicken breast cut into thin slices. The plum sauce was yummy and kept the dish from being too bland. Not a bad option and relatively cheap compared to some of the other things available around the resort.

I luckily happened upon this place after a very long flight from the mainland. By the time we got the rental car and arrived in our condo area at 9:15pm, we were shocked to find that almost everything was closed for dinner. A local told us that everything closes around 9pm on the Big Island but the food court was possibly closing at 9:30pm. I didn’t get noodles since we were doing carry out, but asking which dumplings were homemade. The regular dumplings and the schezuan dumplings are both homemade so we tried them both. They were good, not amazing, but good. Would go back there for dumplings; not sure I’d buy the noodles based on my fellow Unilocal
Cant believe they call this ramen. Have never tasted noodles so soggy.
