I would give this an 11 or even more on a scale of 1 – 10. What an unforgettable evening. Look, you can get decent food and views at many places but this was truly an experience combining it all. From the initial welcome, the service throughout and the unbelievable attention to details. There is only a few places in the world where you can sit steps from the ocean with essentially nobody around, enjoy 300 degree views of the ocean, watch the sunset and experience true hospitality. Thank you, Lori, Sandra and David for making this a night to remember!

We came to Waikiki a week ago to attend a beautiful wedding and to spend 5days on the beautiful scenic strip at the Hyatt Regency. After spending four days looking at the same pool(not that I am complaining) we decided to spend our anniversary date out in North Shore to swim, eat the famous Matsumoto shaved ice, snorkel, get hella rained on too. BF said we have a 6pm dinner reservation so we left turtle beach 15min prior. Not knowing where we are eating at, we drove around and stumbled into a residential area and parked inside someone’s lawn. Two smiley ladies came out of the house and greeted us with hugs. Confused, still wet and filled with sands, my BF told me to just relax. The kind lady«Lori» brought us to an outdoor shower hut(how cool is that!?!) once freshened, she led us up to the back deck of the pretty house and Sandra(the other lady) poured me a glass of champagne with Lilikoi aka passion fruit, it tasted so good… OMGEEE!!! The view of the beach was perfect, smell of fresh flowers, the decorated dinner setting, the aroma of food, tons of candles(super romantic!!!) the lower deck had two lounging chairs surrounded in heart shaped gorgeous flowers and candles. Two other servers were present to assist and«Dave» showered us with purple lei and served us food throughout the dinner experience. Oh it’s like heaven eating our endless courses of yummy food and just sitting staring at such gorgeous views, soothing sound of the waves and Hawaiian music playing in the background. Lori led us down the steps onto the cool sands to watch the pretty waves. The weather couldn’t be more perfect. She was the«friend» that helped us take pictures(otherwise it would be just small selfies!) They even set up two beach chairs with candles to stare at stars when it got dark. The Feast: Fresh fruits in papaya bowl, island ceviche, poke, crab & avocado salad, sunset passion salad, Alaskan king crab legs(they cut up the claws so I didn’t have to do any work!), seared baked fish accompanied with yummy snow peas. Buuuuurp! After so much food, we decided it was time to lay out on the beach. Lori gave us a cute electric lantern to walk down the steps in the dark. The cool breeze felt so good. Soooooo many stars are out just glistening. Gosh it couldn’t be more perfect. So serene I almost fell asleep. We finally walked back up to the deck to finish our meal. For dessert: Ted’s Famous Haupia Pie and Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pie. Hello… YUM As I was stuffing my face with the pies, Dave appeared to pour me more champagne and then my BF stood up, made a sweet speech and got down on one knee with an opened red box. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!! My mouth just dropped. Lori stood in the back taking photographs. How could I not guessed!?! It was just a magical experience, nothing was pretentious and it felt so «at home» I just didn’t expect anything. What a great way to spend an anniversary that turned into an engagement!!! No lines at restaurant, no loud talking during dinner, no rude services… just a romantic meal and surprising experience to shower your love one with LOVE. This was just above-n-beyond what I can ever ask for! Thank you to the whole team for your excellence! Mahalo!

I was very lucky to have found Lori and Sandra’s Dining On The Beach Oahu service by accident, while searching for a private beach dining experience. I had a Hawaii trip booked from August 27th to September 1st. Since my anniversary of meeting my girlfriend was exactly 2 years ago on August 31st, 2013, I wanted my marriage proposal to be on our anniversary date this year. When I first contacted Lori in early August, she had some concerns about booking a private dining experience on the 31st of August because it’s a Monday, the start of a work week. But after hearing my story, she agrees to a special arrangement… Let me preface this by saying THANKYOU(Lori is a middle school teacher and I felt so bad after hearing she took a day off school to setup my dining experience). Now, truthfully because of the lack of reviews and the required ½ deposit, I was VERY hesitant at using this service initially. However, I decided to reach out at least to find out more information. Throughout the weeks leading up to my Hawaii trip, Lori and I would stay communicated in email and phone calls and she had so many ideas and suggestions. Our first conversation lasted over 40 minutes, and I can sense that genuine sincerity. Her level of attention gave me enough security to entrust her to plan this big day… about 2 weeks after my initial contact I made my $ 418 deposit. Fast forward to August 31… I rented a car and left the comforts of Hyatt Regency Waikiki to North Shore. After a full day of fun excursions with my girl friend(Dole Plantation, Haleiwa exploration, Matsumoto Shaved Ice, Laniakea(Turtle Beach, but they were shy this day and stayed 10′ off shore), Three Tables, and Shark’s Cove) we were hungry and ready to kick off the night! Promptly at 5:45pm, I get a text from Lori saying she’s all ready for our arrival. Upon arriving I was pleasantly greeted by Lori and Sandra. They warmly welcomed us and introduced our servers(David and ‘sorry I forget the name of girl that was training. She left early’). After a quick outdoor shower to freshen up, we were shown around the location. Let’s just say it was simply Amazing!(I will load photos). There were 2 porches setup — upper deck was for dining and the lower deck was for lounging, which was outlined with candles in a heart shape. The decks were beachfront and a quick&short walk down the sandy path lead us to another set of lounge chairs on the beach encircled with another set of candles. Very romantic! Throughout the whole time, Lori helped us with photos and I couldn’t be happier to have someone help capture the moment. As the sun was setting we began our dinner experience, a 5 courses meal of seafood(local baked fish and Alaska King Crab), local fresh fruits & salad, capped off with some famous Haupia pie and Macadamia pie! Just at the start of dessert when the moment was feeling just about right, I got down on one knee and asked my girlfriend for her hand in marriage… And she said YES!!! Truth be told, Lori, Sandra and the rest of staff made this night unforgettable. It’s not everyday you can experience a private dining experience on the beach… Not to mention it was on the world famous Sunset Beach at the North Shore of Oahu! I’ll never forget how they played a key part in my marriage proposal. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Let me finish this review by saying this — after the dining experience, I drove back to Hyatt Regency Waikiki. This is about an one hour drive and by the time I got back, Lori had already sent me photos from the evening! My now Finance and I spent the rest of evening looking at photos, reminiscing the incredible moment we just shared before falling asleep.

AMAZINGAMAZINGAMAZING let me start by saying that. I feel like this is the BEST thing I have done while on the island. The food was great, warm and tasteful! I was taken care of like a superstar client and I enjoyed every bit of it. I would recommend this for any couple that is looking for something romantic and out of the box. Thank you again
