Bubbas hands down has a delicious Sunshine Burger! We sat at the outside bar and had the nachos which were decent. We also tried the house drinks which were ok. Our bartender Jamie was good but not the best we’ve seen. She split our food for us without even having to ask which was outstanding. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant. And the multiple TVs around the bar were nice to watch. We would go back.

The happy hour is definitely the draw for me here. $ 4.00 Trash can punch! It’s so good it almost tastes non alcoholic but trust me, after about 2 you’ll know for sure that there’s a ton in there. The service is always good, the servers definitely know what they’re doing. The All-American Margarita is also one of the best margaritas I’ve had. The fried pickles are really good, the sauce that comes with it is interesting and pairs well with them. I’ve been with friends and I particularly don’t like shoe string fries so I’ve always opted out of trying their burgers. I’ve always gotten the wings and they’re just average. I’d definitely recommend because of the atmosphere.

This place is not all that. The food was pretty good and atmosphere is great but the service is just the worst. We waited about 30 minutes for a table when the place wasn’t even too full. The waitress was so slow too. We didn’t get utensils until after we got our food. It took almost 15 just to order. This place has the potential to be great once it improves its service.

I ordered the Bubbas double burger it was great. The burger was very juicy cooked exactly right. The burger was well worth the money. My wife had the guacamole burger she said it was also great. The atmospheres is a little loud but fun. The only thing bad was the service. The staff was to busy chatting with each other to work there tables. they were all gathered around the register chatting had to ask for tea refills twice when the bill came we had to sit 10 min before our waitress showed back up. Otherwise it was a good experience.

This is a nice place to eat. Take the family– or just hanging out with friends. Dressing is very casual. It’s a Sports Bar atmosphere; with a slight Hipster approach. :) MUSTTRYITEM: * Side Salad(I don’t even eat salads like that– but this is DELICIOUS) My husband & I ate the SunShine Burger– and it wasn’t disappointing at all… We LOVED it! They have a cute– bean bag game outside to play. The restaurant appears to be amazingly clean. Service was ok(not AMAZING) — but still good. — Mainly cute young girls are working… Seems like this place have a thing for hiring Blondes. Lol… I love it!- my husband kept losing our waitress– trying to point ours out. *************************** I can see myself DEFINITELY coming back here– if we are visiting or passing through Waco.

Okay I am what you can call a creature of habit when it comes to going out to restaurants. Yeah, I’m the steak and potato guy you’ve heard tell about. You call it… Mom & Pop joints, locations without prices, Tex-Mex, Country Kitchen, Chinese all you can eat buffets, McDonald’s and the old«Greasy Spoon» eateries. I can’t help myself. Mother’s Day the wife, brother and sister in law came in and wanted to go to BUBBA’S next to one of my favorite places to shop(Gander Mtn.). It was the wife’s first time there. I’d been there once before. Remember I frequent Ganger Mtn. so after a hard evening of shopping I stopped into the location in Waco, Texas. So our Mother’s Day outing wasn’t my first rodeo at BUBBA’S. Following my experience after the shopping spree, I was greeted at the door by a sweet young lady who escorted me to a booth. As I was glancing around I noticed around 380 of the ceiling were HDTV’s. Each one had either a MTV Video, Basketball, MMA Fights, Auto Racing and so on. You want to watch it, it is on one of the TV’s including CNN. Who’d thunk it? I was immediately greeted by another young lady who took my order. Without looking at the menu, I told her I’d have a Double Meat Cheese Burger w/Fries and a large Miller Lite which I wanted with my meal! GMO… I mean OMGosh, I should have looked at the menu. This burger was«ENORMOUS» and I thought to myself it looked to be about 5 – 6″ high with all the trimmings slathered on it. The fries were a huge helping too. When I got the brewski I was overwhelmed as it was about a large 44 ounce beer mug and the mug had ice all around it with ice floating on top with a moderate head on the beer. Falling back into my creature of habit routine I ordered up the same as before. The Double Cheese Burger and Fries with a Cold One. My first visit wasn’t a fluke. When they brought out my meal, I felt it was like I was having a Deja Vu moment. My meal was a replica of my first experience at BUBBA’S. The wife was super happy with her Grill Chicken Salad and we both said we’ll be back! The young man(Sean?) waiting our table was extremely courteous and checked on us frequently. The young lady behind the bar named Whitney came to our table per my request as I felt she need to know I was impressed with the beer and I promised her I would mention her service. Those beers came out like twins. Icy Cold and she needed to be commended. The manger at the time was Brianna as she stopped by asking if we needed anything and how was it going. Our response was stellar. Never and I do mean never I have I been to a place that served this much for so little a price and where the servers and other staff showed genuine concern for us as if we owned the business. Friendly, Courtesy, Prompt and above all Professional are the words which come to mind and I would be remiss if I failed not to say the staff from the greeters to the young men and women who bus the tables are an excellent example of how other restaurants employees should treat the clientele so they will want to come back again and again as well as recommend BUBBA’S to others. Whatever or whoever owns this business I just want to say, «Your Doing Something Good Here» and we «SHALL» be back. Again, great job and hope these fine men and women are commended for a job well done! I would make one request. The menu can only get better and more people would come visit if you had a Gluten Free section to your menu!

Well, the atmosphere is great for a sports bar. I think if you’re going to have a sports bar, you need an HDTV in every possible location. This place gets a big check on that! As far as the food goes, the burgers look awesome. The even taste pretty good. One small problem — they disintegrate at the first point of contact. I have no problem game planning for a burger. But there is no game planning this dude. This is like trying to perform a circumcision while you’re on roller skates. Just not possible(nor pretty). It simply falls apart at the first bite. The bread is too soft. Most everything else was okay. Love the atmosphere. Didn’t particularly care to wrestle my food. Upturned face.

Amazingly legendary food that is second to none in Waco. Burgers were cooked to perfection and the bacon was fantastic. The beer selection is the best in town. The service is what made the experience. Thanks Beth!

Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Went with a party of 4. The hot wings were pretty good and the beer was ice cold and never ran out. I wish I could give more stars based on the service alone… But the burger was horrible. The burger wasn’t cooked to the correct temperature and tasted like it had some sort of seasoning that doesn’t belong on a burger. If all you want are wings and beer, this is the place… Avoid the rest of the menu.

I’m more than a little concerned about the quality of Unilocaling going on in Waco. And I mean that sincerely because I rely on Unilocal to tell me where to eat when I’m travelling and Unilocal gave me a HUGE bum steer on this one. I can understand giving high star ratings to Bubba’s 33 for the venue, itself: The spacious interior, convenient location for both locals and travelers, the bean bag games on the patio, the separate bar, and even the friendly service. Or if you’re into 1000 TVs blasting you with images, all tuned to different channels launching a visual assault from all directions the entire time. I get that. But if I were to name right now what the worst Shrimp Poboy is I’ve ever tasted in my life, it’d be the one they served me; The sticky sweet sauce, mushy breading on the shrimp, clunky composition making it difficult to bite, and a lack of a green leaf or slaw for freshness was really disappointing and honestly, just plain gross. The worst salad garnish I’ve ever had? The potato thingies they use as a topping. Your brain and palate see them and want them to be onion strings. But they’re not. They’re an oddly fried potato crisp, that’s also not a chip, and doesn’t have the proper flavor to be in a salad. The worst flavored steak-rub I’ve ever tasted? The overly pronounced and slightly sweet espresso rub they put on my husband’s Ribeye. Maybe if I had ordered a burger I would have been happy. But if something is on your menu, and you put your name to it, you should stand by it and prepare to have it critiqued. And, besides the beer and the Chicken Nacho appetizer(decent), everything else that hit our table was either plain bad, or subpar. Keep this joint away from Dallas. And I’d hate to see the foodie elite review-slaughter that would happen if it were to venture into Austin. Two stars instead of one for the aforementioned friendly service and physical appeal of the venue.

Very crowded on Sunday, but the inside bar was empty. Service was good. Bartender customised my order with no problem. Nachos were too greasy though and queso-y. Nothing wonderful about the food. Clean.

Habañero burger was as spicy as promised. Lots of beer on tap. The beer I ordered was forgettable, shiner Holliday cheer. I like a darker beer with more taste. This is a college town eatery. I would stop again next time I drive through Waco. By the way, if you use the Unilocal app to access your maps, it will route you to the opposite side of 35. Bubba’s is located near the Gander Mountain and the Starbucks.

This is based on the appetizers and burgers. We got the crooked cheese sticks, & queso. Amazing. I got the Bubba’s bacon cheeseburger. This was probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. The pizza was ok, order a burger!

We stopped here for a late lunch, while traveling south back home. We got the fried pickles, and queso as appetizers and they did not disappoint! The fried pickles are a little spicy which we loved! They also put some kind of seasoning on their chips, which was different but good. My 8 year old got a cheeseburger and husband just got wings. I had the grilled chicken salad and it was delicious! The lettuce was fresh and served cold! If you are passing by, definitely recommend this place! The staff were all very friendly and we had great service! Oh yeah, and I don’t think I’ve seen a restaurant with that many tvs! They are everywhere with just about everything on!

Awesome place. My wife and I go down to Waco to visit family every couple months and love going to Bubba’s as we unfortunately don’t have one in Dallas yet. George’s may be synonymous with Waco and their crazy wings are delicious but pound for pound Bubba’s is a better restaurant. They have some good apps including delicious wings. Nothing fancy about the wings but they come out perfect every time. Menu also has salads, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and other typical sports bar food but it’s all very well made. I typically go for their burgers and have never been disappointed. And of course I’d be negligent not to mention they have TVs everywhere so it’s easy to get your game on.

Better than ever! I had the best service tonight from Bri. I never have had great service where I will remember the person name. She recommend the chipotle wings! Ahhmazing! The smokey flavor and spicy was just right. I got the sunshine burger again and it was even better than the last. Wish this was in Austin. Seriously thou Bri was on point tonight, with a packed house, and the Baylor game on. She was very attentive!

Great new place for Waco! I got the shrimp po boy, and it was delicious. The shoe string fries were awesome too. My boyfriend got the Sunshine burger and liked it. Our waiter was very friendly and gave us an estimate of how long it would be until our food came out, which rarely happens at restaurants.

Sunday afternoon… before we head to HEB Plus in Waco to load our daughter up in groceries for her new apartment this semester we decided to drop in on this place which had a slew of cars in its lot! The sign looked inviting and the Unilocal reviews were generally pretty positive! As we walked in we noticed a passle of folks waiting for their table and the restaurant hopping with business! Big screen TVs all around broadcasting sports events and some retro classic rock videos the ambience was lively! After getting seated after a short wait we were greeted by an enthusiastic waiter in training who then proceeded to enlighten me about the fantastic burgers and other offerings in the place! Sensing his interest in the menu was inviting so we proceeded to order and the overall consensus was that the service… the food was all good! We got seated promptly. Was treated courteously by our waiter and the food came out quickly! Generous portions! You have to try the Sunshine Burger… topped off with a fried egg this burger was a winner! A nice experience if you’re ever in Waco. This place is IMO ok for kids and the atmosphere was lively! You can tell there were a lot of parents in town to drop off their kids!
