The owners of these apartments are unscrupulous, terrible people. Motivated by greed, they unfairly, and without cause, evicted my elderly parents. My parents lived there for over 35 years. They took very good care of their apartment, always paid their rent on time, and were quiet tenants. Because my little sister’s boyfriend did damage in a separate apartment they rented(not my parents’ apartment), my parents were forced by the owners to go on a month-to-month lease(even though they had nothing to do with the boyfriend’s actions). One day, my mother saw the landlord outside and she asked if she could ask him a question, he told her no, so she walked away. Later that day, my parents received a phone call from the apartment manager saying they had to 30 days to move out. The owners had no grounds on which to evict them. The owners tried to blame my parents for a fire which happened inside of wall(due to faulty wiring) and made up a few other lies as excuses for asking them to leave because they had no real reason — except for the fact that they could rent out their apartment for a much higher monthly rent if they rented it to new tenants. If you are looking for an apartment in the area, you’re better off renting from a private owner or looking in one of the nearby towns.
