What a great place! The staff were super friendly, the food was delicious and the portions were very generous as well. What topped it all off for me was the coffee — it was fresh, bold and really tasty! My boyfriend and I wanted to go a little north for the weekend(we’re from San Diego) so we found a great deal on Groupon for this place and agreed for this to be our destination. We love riding his motorcycle around to discover and support little ma n’ pa places. This has got to be one of our favorites! Absolutely recommend. Thank you so much for making us feel right at home. See you guys again soon!

Wow! What an awesome little gem. We found out about this location through Groupon. We were staying in Oceanside a decided to make the short trip to Vista, to try it out. We ended up eating here 2 days in a row. The food is very good and the service is absolutely wonderful. Our servers were Elaine on Saturday and Destiny on Sunday. The strawberry crepes are the best!

Good old l fashioned mom and pop Café with Diner like food much better than IHOP or Denny’s. Reasonably priced with friendly service One can often find coupons locally or occasionally local flavor online offers making it a fantastic deal

They have the best fish and chips! It is a light, crisp fish with just the right amount of coating, and comes in smaller stirps, but since it is all you can eat, there is never a worry about the portion size. Meal comes with soup or salad and a roll. I recommend the salad with their delightful bleu cheese dressing. Great meal at a great price, and this is served as a special a couple of times a week for $ 2 less!!!

Awesome place! Felt like home!!! Everything just reminded me of when mom use to cook Sunday mornings … The smell of bacon and maple syrup!!! The Strawberry Rhubarb pie was very delicious!!! Too bad it’s so far away!!! Wish I had a vista way café near me!!!

Our first Friday night meal out on out new town of Vista. We heard the Fish n Chips were really good, but upon reading the menu, we were torn in several directions. We finally decided on the«all you can eat» fish & chips for Max and my friend and I each ordered the grilled Cod. Everything was delicious, and the service was very friendly and the prices moderate. The pie was certainly enjoyed as the perfect finish to a great casual dinner. We are already planning our next meal there! Thank you, Dynasty, for your smiling and efficient service; you were an unexpected bonus to our meal. See you soon!

My wife, two kids and I have come here many times, mostly for breakfast. One thing that keeps me coming back is the comfortable, sunny atmosphere, with windows all around. If you’re down at all, this is the place to get comfort food. Portions are sufficient so that wife and I often share a meal. Coffee could be stronger. Service has always been friendly, not rushed. And, as a baby boomer, I love the background music, mostly from the 60’s.

Who knows if the food is any good. After standing in the lobby for five minutes without being acknowledged by any staff we left and had a nice brunch at Allens.

Started out this morning with the intentions of trying out Chili Coast Burgers for breakfast. To our surprise it was closed even though their hours for Sunday are starting at 9:30 a.m. So we went to the Vista Way Café. We have had dinner there but never breakfast. Glad to say their breakfast was great. The place was very busy and we only needed to wait a few minutes to get seated. Our hostess was named Destiney and she was really on top of things. She was friendly, fast with coffee refills and even though very busy made us feel comfortable. I ordered the Western Skillet and it was great. I am not a fan of the hot sauce they had so Destiney recommended their Salsa. It really complimented the meal so I recommend you try it. My wife had the two cheese omelette and she to was happy with here meal. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

What can be said but great things about the Vista Way café’ I’ve been eating here for years specifically breakfast. My favs? Johnathan’s Choice and the Mexican Omelet. Excellent customer service, product, and prices. Although they have gone away from a larger pie production they still put out great peach pie. Good job Vista Way Café.

The service is great! Everybody is very friendly! The place is very old looking and cluttered. I’ve only eaten there for breakfast, but I’m not a fan. The prices are average, but the quality of food is low. The pies are good.

Friendly staff and good food. We ordered eggs Benedict, pancakes and the biscuits with gravy. No complaints here, we’ll be back.

I have passed this place so many times over the years and now stopped in. I had a breakfast vegie omlet. Very good, large diner like portion sizes. The inside is a bit old but you have to remember its been around for a long long time. The service was wonderful, and we opted to get a boysenberry pie to take home. TWO meals, a glass of juice and a pie to take home came to under 25 bucks! I work down the street now, so this will be frequented often by myself and friends. YAY Vista, for giving me yet another fine diner option!

The food is ok but the waitress was a little scattered and kept forgetting things. My son was in there a while back and they had a rodent problem. That is a show stopper for me. I really wanted to love it since it is locally owned.

Best fried fish ever. The all you can eat fried fish will be leaving you wishing you could eat more. A tip for the owner, instead of posting all you can eat fish on Fridays $ 9.99, perhaps post, our everyday all you can eat fish is only $ 9.99 on Fridays. I almost passed on trying them out because I’m never available on Fridays, but we went in on a different day for brunch and I noticed the fish was still all you can eat, for $ 11.99 instead and indulge I did. Our waiter turned out to be the son of the family owned business and was so genuine and nice that I hope he continues in the family legacy.

Great breakfast — chicken fried steak is awesome, sausage patties flavorful and you get two good sized with breakfast — service is excellent. Asked for crispy hashbrowns — they could have been cooked longer. Overall great breakfast joint — easy and delicious — we’ll be back !

My husband and I are regulars at this café for breakfast on the weekends. We just love their food and their atmosphere. The staff is always so fun and personable. Its a very low stress, relaxed kind of place to eat. We always have a good time. I’ll say my two favorite things about this café. 1. They leave you be while you eat. They don’t come ask you how you are every 4 seconds. They will ask you if everything is all right a little after receiving your food and leave you to eat while simply coming by to refill your drinks. 2. They have candy that you can take with you when you leave, not some little dinky mints, CANDY. I look forward to it everytime I go. I have low blood sugar, as well as just liking candy, so they can be real helpful if we go out for a while after breakfast.

A few of my associates and I went here for lunch. We were all seated and the waitress took our orders promptly. We had to wait over 30 minutes to get our food. We didn’t get our food together. A cup of tortilla soup and broccli soup was ordered and the were both thick and nasty. A cecsar salad was ordered and it was lettuce and crutons nothing appealing about it. I don’t think I would ever come to this place again.

A friendly neighborhood diner. With decent prices. Had a coupon from the community mailer for a free entrée so we gave it a try for lunch. Décor is Midwest 80’s but I can appreciate it. We decided on a burger with fries, a Ortega beef sandwich with fries, and our son got one of their specials and a soda. With our coupon $ 21 for 3. We couldn’t finish portions could serve two I feel. Took to much time to get the to go box and the check but overall not bad. Not sure if I’d choose it again.
