Some time back in 2013 the charge air pipe on my diesel Jetta was loose. Not enough oxygen was getting to the fuel, causing it to not burn efficiently and blow black smoke.
Since this place works on these kinds on cars, we took it here and asked them to take a look at it and see if they could find the problem. We already knew what it was but wanted to see if they would be honest about it.
Later, we got a call from the head guy there who kept saying that it was the entire turbo charger and it would need to be replaced, costing about $ 1,700. Liar! Totally dishonest! We immediately picked up the car and took it somewhere else. First Evan’s Tire. They refused to even look at it because they felt there was too much liability. Then Fred’s Automotive and they easily got it done. Only charged us I think it was $ 75 to replace the pipe once we got a new one from the dealership.
Meanwhile, avoid this place and their deceitful tactics.

I have a 2005 vw Jetta. Rony fix my car and now it runs beautiful again. He is honest and does good work at a very fair price.

Rony is a rare breed – a very straightforward and honest mechanic, who will always give you a fair deal. He would deserve a five star review for sure, but since he’s not always the most personable guy, I have to make it four stars. However, I am definitely a huge fan and would trust him with ANY work I needed done.

You are a good find! After getting the run around with my C230 it was nice to find an honest straight forward mechanic I can trust an will give it to me straight without breaking my bank.

i have been taken my delivery truck to them for years now and they have always done a great jobs in a very timely matter. Rony has been able to find oil leaks and sturt problems and fixed them at very fair prices. They also worked on our volvo and did repairs that others
could do in my budget. I tell all my friends about Rony and many have had work done by him and have been very happy.

I have a ’67 VW Bug that requires some love and attention on a regular basis. Rony is the the lead mechanic here and he is from Germany. He worked for Volkswagen and is a maestro with German cars. He’s honest and fair and his prices are good.
If you need a local mechanic it’s a great place to go.
