Apparently I was the lucky one! I called ahead; asked if they would make up five quarts of custom stain for me(the Encinitas store doesn’t do this). They said«of course» and even though I had never been to the store before and do not have an account with S/W, they prepared my order and I drove there to pick it up a few hours later. I had an online coupon which Kyle gladly honored and then set me up with an account. THEN… he gave me a 30% discount on the entire order even though the sale ended a few days ago. This is PERFECT customer service as far as I am concerned. They are my store of choice in the future. The entire experience was A+!

Unlike the experience of the other reviewer, the staff was onsite for my visit but I didn’t feel like they were helpful at all when I came in to order paint that my contractor recommended. They basically told me I was stupid to use the type of paint I was ordering for its intended use but didn’t offer any kind of alternative or suggestion. I’m going back to Frazee… I’d rather deal with crappy business hours than interact with the paint«professionals» at Sherwin Williams in Vista. I received an email asking about my experience so I gave the same review. It asks if they can contact you if they have any questions. I said no and they called anyway. What’s the point of asking?
