Denny’s

I don’t usually go to Dennys, but when I do I am usually with friends and it is usually later at night. After a party we decided to keep it going and take it to Dennys since it was already late. For the most part this place is great to go to at night. I had a plain burger with seasoned fries. The burger was mediocre at best but since it was late it tasted pretty good. The fries were nice and crispy, but they weren’t as seasoned as I would like them to be. All in all my review of this place is pretty positive until it comes to the check.
The total of my food was $ 11.15, I combined that with a 25% tip (it was late at night) to make it an even $ 14. I had to explain to the guy I was paying for over five minutes that he owed me six dollars and not the five that he was trying to give me. It was finally solved when he frantically found a calculator in his booth and saw that he was wrong. Honestly I probably wouldn’t have made this review if it weren’t for this ordeal. Overall this place is alright if you need a place to go to after a party, but you’ll probably have to deal with the staff for a while.

I would give a zero if I could. Was there on a Saturday night at about 810 pm, establishment was fairly empty.
We were 3 adults and 3 small children.
It took Darwin the waiter about 20 minutes to take our drink order, by then we were ready to order food which we did.
After being there for about 50 minutes and with no food, I had to leave (family situation) but wanted to pay for my tab and just let my party eat my food.
Darwin tried to help me at the register but after 6 minutes, he didn’t seem to know how to charge my credit card or open the register to give me my change for a $ 20.
I told him that I was in a hurry and just keep the $ 7 change for the terrible service.
I wouldn’t return or recommend this Denny’s to anyone.

love this place! would give five stars, but I had to keep reminding my server about taking my order. He dropped off the drinks, and I sat there waiting for an additional 10 minutes until he came back to take my order. Food is great though and Denny’s isn’t too expensive!

We come here all the time but the problem I have is every time they don’t even give you a full plate of food. I ordered the loaded chicken potato skillet and it’s only half full not even a full skillet like it’s supposed to be. This happens all the time to me. It should be a full skillet of food not just half a skillet. Also they barely put any broccoli on the dish, which it is supposed to come with this meal. I love broccoli but never get more than a couple pieces. Also ordered apple juice that was completely watered down. Just not happy with this Denny’s at all. They never give you the amount of food you are supposed to get. This makes me very upset considering we pay for it. It’s a total rip off coming here and paying for a full meal and only getting half a plate instead of a full plate like you pay for. Completely messed up. I hate coming here but my family house is closer to this one. Come here if you want to get ripped off. Every dish is half the order you should be getting. We pay for it so we should get it. Love how photos on menus show way more than you actually get.

Was really craving a burger so I went to Denny’s. This was the first time at this location. Service was very friendly and quick! Especially considering that the same woman that sat us was the same one who was our waitress. In fact, she was everyone’s waitress. I didn’t see anyone else serving anyone.
I really wanted to write this review for this Denny’s bc of two things.
1-​I tried the «Thing burger» and it was AMAZING.
2-​The hostess/​waitress. We got VERY good service and she was quick about it. Always checking on us and bringing back condiments right away. Her name was Lupe, I think.
Anyway, Lupe is awesome!
The only thing about this location (and the reason for the one star deduction is due to the bathroom situation. It was not in a hallway and the other employees kept banging on the door yelling «is anyone in there»? It happened about 4 – 5 times. Really obnoxious.

I absolutely love this Dennys location! I come here a lot with my family and every time I’ve been greeted and helped very nicely. Food comes quick and tastes great!

I would give it a 0 star but I can’t. The food was horrible! The waitress sucked! I asked for chocolate milk for my kids and they loaded it with chocolate! They didn’t even mix the chocolate milk. The food was worm not even hot, so minutes later it was cold. I ordered hash browns with over easy eggs, and chicken fried steak. SO DISAPPOINTED! The waitress no smile, really looks like she hates her job, only checked up on me one time. :(I’m only going to «I hop «from now on! Oh yea and I had to get up to get my bill :/

The service during the night is horrible. It took them 30 minutes for them to come and get our drinks. I recommend the one in San Marcos if you want to go late at night.

It’s Denny’s. Everything is the same and always taste the same. The service can go up or down depending on who serves and how busy they are.

This is by far our favorite Denny ‘s restaurant! The staff is so kind and respectable; they work very efficiently while maintaining a friendly attitude. We always leave feeling well taken care of. Remember to tip your server– they deserve it!

Went for a late night meal on a Friday night (@ 11 PM), the place was packed — and not with just a bunch of bar people either. We had to wait for about 15 – 20 minutes to be seated, and service was pretty slow, but not horrible, considering how busy they were. Our waiter was pleasant and tried his best, as he had to literally run around. Food was fresh and delicious, but came out on different plates, at different times. For example, my friend ordered a sandwich that comes with a side, he ordered fries… The sandwich was delivered on a small plate about 5 minutes before the fries… My meal came on 3 different plates as well. Wondering if they ran out of large plates because they were so crazy busy or if the waiter was just trying to get the food delivered as hot and fresh as possible & the kitchen was backed up. Either way, I feel sorry for the dishwasher. I’m sure that I’ll be back, and nothing against this particular location, it’s just Denny’s (in general) is not my first choice.

We come here late night. Staff tonight was a bit slow. It happens I know. But it still sucked. Good food as always. Will be back as it is the closest dennys to our house.

My family and I have been coming here for a while now there always amazing and service is great. There very friendly towards my children. Love coming here

The service is always fast and the food comes out correct and hot. What more can I ask for from a Denny’s at 1:30am?

I visited this Denny’s on Christmas with my roommates for a bite to eat. Not really expecting much, since it was Christmas and later in the evening. To our pleasant surprise, our server Lupe was WONDERFUL from start to finish. She was attentive, running around all over the place, friendly and just all around great server.
Thank you Lupe for your uplifting spirit and exceptional service, even on a holiday :)

The server TAMMY B!!! What is she doing as a server here?! Her customer service skills are lacking. Asked for coffee, and brings water lol, no sincere apologies, just made excuses that I was on the phone, total lies. Brings food places on the table, and says oh wait this isn’t your food. Manager just won’t care, if you come here just don’t be served by TAMMY B! (I did noticed she treats 4+ people tables much better)

Waited almost an hour with hungry kids for our food. After ordering, not once did the manager or waitress approach to explain the lengthy wait for the food. After waiting all that time with no food in sight, had to leave with a hungry family and am now sitting at McDonalds. Worst service I’ve had in a long time. Don’t waste you time, I’ll be staying away from Denny’s.

I have been here for couple of years especially because we come after church. Today I came in for a to go order, and when I got home I noticed that the meal was wrong. I came back and explained them that my order was wrong. Immediately, the manager and staff ordered me a new meal made sure that I did not pay for the wrong order, and still gave me a free drink and pie! All for the inconvenience.
Great customer service! The staff new how to correct the problem and still gave me something extra! Thank you!

I had horrible service the waitress was so rude when we ordered telling us how to order it took us ten minutes just to get a drink order in and another ten to get it. We were there for a hour and a half and it wasn’t even busy. The only good thing two of our plates were free because it sucked. I wouldn’t recommend this Denny’s at all

Let’s start with fact that they missed a syrup spot on the table, that got on my hand, then my arm, then my other hand, and now it taking longer for me to type this review on the sticky screen…
The food was ok, it’s Denny’s, and the service was descent. They were quick, but they seemed overwhelmed when we were here. The coffee was luke warm. If I have to, I would come back. Now to clean this stupid syrup off my phone’s screen.
