One of my favoritest food trucks in the Tysons area. I’ve only gotten the fish tacos but between them, and Rio Churrasco, my fish taco needs are always met. They are pretty fast, include a fair amount of fish, and have a legit spicy sauce that will make you perspire a tad(which is my kind of spicy). If that’s not your jam, ask for the mild sauce. Prices are on par with other Tysons food trucks, so three tacos will cost you $ 9. Definitely my go to when I’ve got a hankering for fish tacos.

The tacos are outstanding. Prices are about what you’d expect from a Tyson’s food truck. One of the best trucks out there. Burritos are alright, but would definitely recommend the tacos!

Average burrito — and the portion is somewhat filling. But when compared to chipotle, it’s quiet lacking, definitely not worth $ 10.

Meh, there was only one food truck outside my building today and I had a short time frame to get lunch so they were my only option. Decent steak burrito bowl, nothing special, although I am satisfied in terms of hunger with my meal, $ 10 seemed steep for the amount of food I got. All in all, ok if there aren’t too many options around but if more food was accessible to me, I probably would go with something else.

You could definitely get a bigger, better tasting burrito at Chipotle for the same price as here, but that’s not to say what I got was bad. It was adequate — Nothing more, nothing less. Nothing necessarily stood out as good or bad on the BBQ chicken burrito I got. It satisfied my hunger, and didn’t offend my taste buds. I honestly wasn’t looking for or expecting more than that.

These are solid tacos– I had both the fish and steak tacos with everything on them and enjoyed both. The steak ones were more flavorful though. The spicy red sauce was also very good(and not overly spicy). My colleagues also rave about the burritos although I have not tried them. The salads don’t look so appealing to me and I think the portion is a bit small so I’d recommend to stick to the tacos or burritos. This isn’t my favorite taco truck in town but if this truck is in the area and I am hungry I would definitely go back!

I’m definitely a fan of chef on wheels! I frequent their Reston location with my coworkers. I can’t get enough of their taco salad. I love it so much that I haven’t tried anything else yet. I’m sure everything is fantastic. Keep coming to Reston :)))

Get in my belly! I absolutely love this truck! The tacos are so delicious, tender steak and the freshest toppings. I have also tried the chicken tacos but the steak ones are my favorite. As if this wasn’t enough, lately they have been having some special dish available each day. I don’t think that this is a part of their regular menu, but I had some of the best ox tail and rice I have ever tasted… INMYLIFE! I always frequent them when they are in Reston but it seems like they visit other locations too. Yummy yummy yummy!

I try their food on daily basis, they have the best tacos in VA. Specially Qadir and Basir are one of the best cooks. The prices are very reasonable. It’s worth to try. They also provide food services for different events. Guys if you want a delicious fresh good quality food you can find them in reston, Tyson’s, and Arlington.

I love Mexican food, and Chef on Wheels makes some of the BEST tacos I’ve ever had. I know some people are skeptical about tacos off a truck, but I make sure to get my fix in on a weekly basis now from Chef On Wheels. I’ve tried the chicken and steak tacos, and they are out of this world. All the meat I’ve tried is cooked well, not dry, very well flavored. All the ingredients taste fresh. The sauce is also excellent. Overall, Chef on Wheels is as solid as it gets for tacos, I HIGHLY recommend them.

Absolutely tasty burritos and tacos! They came to our neighborhood pool tonight and the line was out of the parking lot and it was worth the wait! I would definitely call them to come to your event! I hope they come back!

Excellent Tacos and Burritos. Been coming here for a few months and these tacos are superb! The ingredients are very fresh and the people are super friendly. Takes me back to the republic. Reminds me of the tacos I would find in Austin, TX.

These guys serve up some of the best tacos I’ve ever tasted! Everything that goes into their dishes is perfetly cooked. I usually get the chicken or steak tacos and have never been disappointed. They pack a lot of flavor into everything they serve. They had been coming out to my office facility in South Arlington for a while and had quite the following, but have not been back in a long time. I don’t know why they stopped, but everyone misses them. Their food was phenomenal, but they are also good people and super nice to work with.

Misleading name to start, serves tacos and burritos. Staff was not very friendly and with a very little line, it took a long time to get the food in comparison to other food trucks. I ordered two chicken tacos and chips. Tacos weren’t anything special, chicken was warm at best, didn’t seem fresh, and came covered in a chipotle sour cream(without specifying that fact). Chips were cold, greasy, and interestingly long thin shaped. Overall nothing special, and not expecting to go back.

The name«Chef on Wheels» is misleading. If you have«chef» in the name, I expect some pretentious foodie BS. Well, not here. CoW has two dishes: tacos and a burrito bowl, and you can get BBQ beef, chicken, veggies, and a couple of other proteins as the base. Guac is an extra buck. I had the burrito bowl with chicken, no rice, which I appreciate as too many food trucks are heavy on the carbs. It was pretty generous, particularly with the beans and chicken, and I had the leftovers for lunch today(YMMV). The meat was tasty; the whole thing reminded me of my favorite burrito joint that used to be in Old Town. I would definitely come back, but CoW really ought to do something to differentiate itself from the other taco trucks(other than offering a burrito without the wrap). Seriously, yesterday, we had a food truck pile-up for some reason(that means four trucks in Courthouse) and the Latin American flavors truck was there, which is more tacos/burritos. I like both of them, but it’s more or less the same food. Then if District Taco shows up, well, it’s about to get real.

I finally made it back to try a full line-up of tacos from Chef on Wheels. Today they were offering what was described as «spiced tilapia» in addition to Steak, Chicken, and Shredded Beef. I opted for a 1 steak, 1 chicken, and, 1 fish. I got the tacos with everything on them(Onion, Tomato, Avocado, Cilantro, Jalapeño, Cheese, and Red Cabbage). The steak and chicken had a nice flavor, well seasoned and the ingredients were again very fresh. However, the fish taco had little to no flavor — I was hard pressed to tell whether there was actually any fish in my fish taco and certainly no apparent spice except for the jalapeño. Additionally, as noted by Katherine, the fillings are pretty skimpy. The tacos ended up being more the size of a flauta when rolled up. For $ 8 I would expect a bit more generous serving, especially considering that they charge slightly more than District Tacos whose tacos are exceptionally generous(and only $ 7 for 3 — also with unlimited topping choices). I asked today about the«& more» today and the operator seemed a bit confused. He finally said«yes, we will be offering more, but we are new» and he didn’t elaborate any further. For the price and serving size I would recommend(in order of preference) La Tingeria or District Taco to satisfy your food truck/stand taco desires.

The sign on the truck«Tacos and More» would lead one to believe they sold more than tacos! Since Rosslyn already has a rotation of at least three other taco trucks, I was looking forward to something different from the chef of Chef on Wheels. The menu today consisted of a taco(choice of steak or chicken) and bean soup. I tried a sample of the soup and it was actually very tasty and more interesting than the tacos which were American-style and very mild in heat, even with the jalapenos added which were pretty much undetectable on the taco itself. I tried both the steak and chicken taco with everything… cabbage, tomato, cheese, jalapenos, avocado, and cilantro. The meat on both tacos was very good… really nice, fresh flavors, not overly spiced or seasoned. The steak is actually slow-cooked. However, there was way too much tortilla and not enough stuffing. I had to tear half the tortilla off in order to taste the different ingredients. The shells should either be smaller than the 6″ tortillas they’re using now, like street taco size, or should be filled more. Also, they do not offer corn tortillas. Overall, great American-style tacos. It’s nice that they include avocado at no additional charge!

Stopped by the«Chef on Wheels» truck yesterday after the lunch rush had died down. They specialize in tacos – steak, chicken, and veggie, though they indicated that sometimes they do special tacos. Tacos come with onions, tomato, avocado, cilantro, jalapeño, cabbage, and cheese(made to order, of course). I got two steak tacos with everything. The portions are not huge. In fact, they’re a little on the small side. Each taco is made in a 6″ soft flour tortilla, and is not overly stuffed. However, each one tastes like it was made with love. The steak(presumably flank or skirt) was cooked medium, and was tender and juicy. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. The tortilla was fresh and soft. The tacos were absolutely delicious. There was also a hint of some sort of sauce(just a bit), but I wasn’t trying to decipher it, just enjoy it. Tacos are $ 3 each, drinks are $ 1. They serve in Arlington and Fairfax, and are listed on .
