Great Mongolian barbecue! This is my family’s favorite place to grab lunch or dinner because it’s affordable and you can customize your food very easily. Your meal is served with a choice of soup [the egg drop soup is pretty decent!], rice, and sesame flatbread. The flatbread is very tasty; it’s light, airy, with a slight chew. Love love love this bread. For your main meal, you load up veggies and meats in a bowl with flavored waters, and it’s cooked right in front of you. The veggies at the bar are always fresh. Nice selections of meats, I never have complaints about the beef or chicken. The food is cooked very quick on the hot grill; sometimes the veggies can burn and taste bitter, and if you don’t add enough flavored water, the flavors can be very subtle. I actually like it not super salty and over seasoned, but I can see how some diners could interpret their meal as bland. So definitely load up on those flavored waters [the garlic water and Mongolian special are good go-tos]. Overall, a top notch restaurant! Our waitresses have always been very friendly and attentive. The food is of good quality, and since the Mongolian barbecue is unlimited, you will surely get a bang for your buck.

I used to go here all the time years ago and I would’ve given them a 4 star rating then but I just went there yesterday and I wasn’t as impressed. The food was bland for some reason. The service was great and the food options were the same but I’m not sure if they changed the sauce options.

This is the first time i’ve been to this restaurant. I normally go to the DWS Mongolian Grill and they are good. This place is clean, the food is fresh and the whole staff was friendly. The reason why I am giving 3 Stars is because I got a salad from the salad bar and the ranch dressing tasted terrible, the staff all though friendly were very confused when I went to take a to go plate(I knew that was a charge) and wanted that separate from the bill. I told them my dad was getting the 2 buffets and I was getting the to go and they were still confused so my dad got it all. The food was amazing though!

Warriors Grill is my favorite places to eat!!! They food is fantastic and fresh and the line is very quick to get through. For those who have never been to warriors grill ~ this is a great place where you get in a line around the ‘grill’ and add food ingredients of choice into a bowl for the cooks to throw on the massive grill. One key thing is to use their Special Mongolian sauce, it is so tasty and also add sugar water and other ingredients to enhance the flavor. I enjoy mine spicy so I add a lot of spivey sauce to mine, yum! The staff here is always friendly and are very welcoming ~ they know me by name and it is a pleasure to see them each time I come here. I really like their sesame bread, it is good to dip into the egg drop soup with rice and a treat for dessert afterwards. You can also take your food to go if that’s easier!

Favorite Mongolian spot! Everything is delicious. You make your plate how you want it. Service is fast and friendly. The sesame bread is the best! A very simple layout for food selection. I chose 4 out of 5 stars only because I feel there could be more vegetable options to add to your plate, otherwise I would’ve given 5 stars. Smart choice for lunch or dinner and is reasonably priced. Less than $ 30 for 2 people lunch or dinner selection. The price for the buffet includes unlimited rice, bread, and soup. Enjoy!

I think I’ve only been to a Mongolian grill like this three times. I usually don’t go to places like this unless suggested, or it was the unanimous vote from the group. Food: I was wondering where all the food was at. When I think of Mongolian, I think of the grill in the middle and a food bar, at least one. I guess I should’ve jumped on Unilocal after the vote. However, I did not drop my expectations and try to go in neutral. The times I have tried it, the food never seems to come out flavorful enough — unless if it’s doused with a lot of the sauces they have there. I did like that this place does allow you to select the sauces and amount from what they have. You can choose sugar water, garlic water, ginger water, lemon water, wine, sesame oil, chili flake oil, Mongolian special, Oyster sauce, and I think I am forgetting two more. My first round came out needing some more flavor, even though I felt I put a lot of their sauces. The second round I doubled up, and decided to try the Mongolian special, which definitely gave it more flavor — I just felt like ti was a crazy amount needed for a small serving. The egg drop soup they served was pretty good, and the sesame bread complimented the meal well. They did give two cookies after the meal, which were a little stale. Service: I think we were there before dinner ‘rush,’ because people started coming in afterwards. The lady taking care of the table was very friendly, loved that she could joke with the table, and did make sure we were well taken care of. Overall, I do recommend this place for those who really enjoy eating at Mongolian restaurants where they cook it on the round grill.

Our group of six was promptly seated at lunch. $ 8 per person before tip and taxes = one tiny soup(hot and sour or egg drop), one Lo Mein noodle bowl with your choice of proteins(white or dark chicken, pork, or beef slices) and vegetables, one small side salad and as many bread with sesame seeds as you would like. The delectable breads with sesame seeds were served lukewarm on the table. You can only get one main bowl for $ 8. The content is cooked on an oiled stone in front of you. Then, your cooked meal is put on a plate. It is an open kitchen concept. One person in the group complained his clothes were smelling oil by the end of the meal. Half of the group had meat and veggies only. By not putting the Lo Mein noodles(carbs) in their bowl, they were still hungry. Thus, they ate a lot of bread with sesame seeds. You will customized your small salad at the clean salad bar. There was a selection of fresh and canned vegetables. The food was bland, despite trying the oyster and ginger sauces. We paid at the counter. Free mints were offered there. Bathrooms were clean and without changing tables for babies. It was free and easy to park. The service was efficient and friendly.

This was my first time eating here. The restaurant was clean, the staff friendly. The sesame pancakes were delicious as were the cookies at the end. I was disappointed that they didn’t have shrimp as that is what I use most in my bbq. Also the sauces didn’t seem to add any flavor to the dish even when I added more the second trip, had to settle for soy sauce at the table. The last Mongolian bbq that I went to in Chesapeake that wasn’t a warriors grill offered shrimp and I could taste the flavors of the sauces that I added to my dish. They also had a dessert bar which included ice cream. I wouldn’t go to warriors again.

I don’t know if it’s because I was stationed in the Pacific, or visited many Asian countries… or maybe I’ve had my fair share of outstanding food… I just did not like this place. The good: The staff was so friendly. We tipped them well even. I feel bad leaving a subpar review. The ambiance was nice. It was extremely clean. It was absolutely beautiful in there. You get cookies when you are ready to pay, which is a plus. Drinks come in a huge cup! The bad: I’m not understanding this particular Mongolian BBQ restaurant. I’ve been to many. No matter how much sauce I put on the veggies and meat before cooking, the food still tasted bland here. I had to add lots of soy sauce and salt to make up for the lack of flavor. Maybe they cooked off all the sauce I’m not sure. They had a nice selection of everything. I don’t know what the heck it was. Perhaps it was an off night or something. The egg drop soup almost tasted like it was burned. Not sure what that was about. Maybe I got the bottom part of the pot it was cooked in, I don’t know. I’m not sure if I’ll come back to this restaurant. I was a bit disappointed.

Your typical Mongolian BBQ joint. Besides the BBQ, you also get rice, a soup, and some bread to go along. Nothing special to me, but decent price.

Yes! I still love this place. I think there may have been a little bit of too much decent Asian in my life lately so I wanted something fresh, better than decent, and food coma-free. At Warrior’s Grill, you get what you want fresh because it’s cooked for you. Lots of garlic? Yes, please. Bonus in my book for having lamb as an option. Tonight was my first time having dinner there and they finished off our meal with cookies. Stellar.

Great options for the vegetarian types as well as the carnivorous. The egg drop soup is great choice with some soy sauce and some of the rice added to it. The sesame bread sticks are a tasty little bonus. Take a couple dollars to tip the grillers and don’t forget the pineapple before you get your bowl grilled you can thank me later. Love this place!

We ate here when on vacation in Virginia Beach last month. We are vegetarian, so it was nice to have this as an option. The food tasted good and the place looked clean. I would have liked to have had tofu as an option for a protein add-in since I am vegetarian. Would have also liked more sauce and vegetable options. Then again, I think I may be spoiled as we have HuHot Mongolian Grill where we live in Colorado and they have like 4 types of noodles, 27 different sauces, 25 vegetables, every kind of meat and seafood and tofu to choose from and it’s all you can eat in addition to a regular menu you can order from.

Nice little place to eat if you are a vegetarian, although they don’t have tofu for a protein option. After eating regularly at a Hu Hot in Colorado, I’ve probably become a bit spoiled when it comes to Mongolian grills, but since there are kind of limited options in Va Beach for vegetarians, this is a goo place to visit for something that isn’t fried or in the pizza family. Service is excellent and friendly. Just would like to see tofu available and more sauces.

My friends always raved about this place so I had to check out what the hype was about. To be honest, I thought that it was okay. It’s your standard Mongolian place and the flavor of the sauces weren’t really special. I had a hard time getting the chicken and beef because it was so frozen and was stuck. I didn’t have the choice of sauces because the chef grabbed my bowl and kind of picked for me. I didn’t know if that was the norm so I just rolled with it! Came out a bit salty.

I went here for my birthday after my first idea for dinner didn’t pan out(too crowded). After driving around, my bf, our friend and I came across this Warriors Grill. I remembered how I enjoyed my experience at the Greenbrier location, so we decided to try this location out. This WG is waaaaay different than the Greenbrier WG in the worst way. It was dimly lit and the Asian woman(who I will call«Dragon Lady» from here on out) led us to a booth. Our server came by to take our soup/drink orders and was really chatty. So far, so good. I decided to get a grown-up beverage since it was my birthday… I ordered a fruity drink, thinking I wouldn’t taste any alcohol… The Dragon Lady ended up making my drink, despite the fact that our server was a former bartender at a well-known family restaurant(IMO, she should’ve just stayed there). She bad mouthed the way the Dragon Lady made the drink… Who puts an umbrella toothpick in a straw?(BTW… The drink tasted like pure gasoline… Blech!!) The food was decent… Can’t go wrong when you’re basically making up your own meal. While I was waiting for my food to be cooked, our waitress was clearing out the salad bar. She informed me that she couldn’t stand some of her co-workers. I’ve had some really awful jobs, but I have never openly talked about my disdain with customers. As my party was finishing up, we witnessed a little tiff between Dragon Lady, our server and another server. It was pretty uncomfortable. The Dragon Lady left for the night after that, which was strange because I thought managers/owners were supposed to stay til close of business. As our server started clearing our plates away, she informed us that she didn’t like the other server. I was glad when we finally left the restaurant… Unfortunately, the gasoline-tasting drink and the negative energy left me with a bad case of indigestion.

This is my new favorite Mongolian spot. I was craving something comforting with noodles the other night & this place nailed it. The bf & I were served hot & sour soup with sesame bread and then ventured up to the buffet of ingredients to begin working on our masterpiece. Super fresh veggies, nice selection of meats, and the cooks even helped me pick which oils and sauces to cook my meal in. They even bring you lil mini cookies with your check too!

This place definitely exceeded our expectations. Upon walking in, it looks sparse with only one center buffet & grill, so I instantly lowered my expectation. However, this place was awesome. We ordered hot tea — and got a silver pot of Jasmine tea which was delicious. We both received fresh soups, my egg drop was delicious & his sweet & sour was pretty good. A bowl of white rice & some sesame biscuits were also brought to our table while we fixed up bowls for the grill. I was impressed. The selection for thr grill was pretty good, though the only non-red meats present were chicken and imitation crab. Overall, I really enjoyed it and the dinner is unlimited buffet so my husband was pleased.
