Sundays Tanning Resort

The beds are ancient, small, and don’t even get you tanned! I was cold when I got out of their Tier 5 (best bed). It’s only $ 80/​unlimited per month so I signed up. Now I have to go «un sign up». It’s the biggest chain around here and I do not know why. The girls at the front are nice enough but not knowledgeable about tanning. In addition, they are ALWAYS eating behind the counter. It grossed me out to smell broccoli and onion dip and the next day greasy Cheese-​Itz. The place is very disappointing & I’d really like to leave with a tan one of these days. Ugh. I do not reccomended this place… at any of their 977 locations (really 19 locations). Summary: WASTE OF TIME, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, OLD HALF WORKING BEDS!

I LOVE this Sunday’s Blue Box location. All of the Ladies including the Manager, Deanna are very friendly & knowledgeable regarding all products and services. Only downfall is they do «not» have the Blueberry, Alpha or NEW Level 6 beds. If they did, I would «never» go elsewhere. I have to go to the VA Beach Blvd location for those services.

I am currently in the Virginia Beach area for only a few days on business. It’s been kinda rainy/​cloudy and I wanted to get my tan on before heading home. After looking around I decided to go to Sundays. It had great reviews. I found the place easily with its big SUNDAY sign. I walked in and the place was nice. I was was greeted with a half ass «hiiiiii» from two workers behind the register. I walk up and I am about to inquire about the beds and prices when on lady says «Last name?» I let her know this was my first time at this salon and I was about to ask my question when she gets a clip board an tells me to fill it out. It was a standard indoor tanning getting to know you/​consent form. She then asks me if I want a membership. I tell her no thank you because I’m only here for a few days. So I fill out my stuff and she shows me the beds/​prices. I pick a level 3 bed for 16 $. I asked bout sample tanning lotion and she immediately shows me a basket on the counter where they are 3 for 10 $. She suggests the Dazzeling and I’m in2u samples. I get directions to my room and get situated. The room my bed was in was a little small. But I had enough room to do what I needed to do. I was disappointed to find the tanning lotion the lady in front «recommended» smelled like self tanner. I understand thats an ingredient but i didn’t expect to have this oder of self tanner on me. I like stiff that smells good. The bed was clean and I got a little peppermint candy. Yay. I stayed in there for 14 min which may have been too long. There were directions on how long to stay in kind of hidden on the bed itself. I kinda wish the lady behind the register would have said something knowing it was my first time in their salon with their tanning beds. Oh well.
Over all I got what I needed out of the place. It is defiantly not the best place I’ve been to but I’ll probably be looking at other tanning places before going back.

I’ve been going to Sundays since they first opened in Virginia Beach, something like 20 years ago. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a membership because my gym offers tanning with my monthly membership so I haven’t bothered with Sundays in awhile. However, I needed some new tanning lotion and Sundays has a large selection of the newest lotions out there. The staff is also very knowledge of the products they sell. The beds are undoubtedly the most technologically advanced beds out there. They have 5 levels of tanning available and spray tanning too. They offer different membership plans that fit your budget and they even offer blue bucks. Blue Bucks are earned when you purchase products, like lotion. For every dollar you spend on products, you earn blue bucks which can be used for tanning or upgrades to your tanning. The blue bucks allows you to tan without having a monthly membership plan. The facilities are always super clean too! I’ve never been disappointed with Sundays.

Love it! It’s definitely my favorite tanning salon in VaBeach, hands down!
A bit pricy, but worth every penny!
