The return visit today was prompted by a need to see if the promoted«relaxed fit» would actually work with arthritic feet. Yesterday I was pointed in the direction of shoes favored by the diabetic clan. They were a definite«No, No», says she. The young man who assisted me today was helpful, even to the point of climbing a tall ladder to the stacks of shoes that almost reach the ceiling. The result shows promise. But the jury is still out. I’m a tough sell. The store is conveniently located in a section of new’ish shops accessed by Phoenix Drive but appearing to front(or back) Lynnhaven Parkway. It is clean, bright, and welcoming. The seats for trying on shoes leave quite a lot to be desired. They are small metal squares that leave one wondering, «Is that what’s it’s really for?» I have to admit that my mind was suddenly transported to a fantasy dairy farm in expectation of someone pulling up that stool to milk a cow. The store appears to have not been discovered by the shopping hoards. But that is likely because the merchandise is for a niche market. I’ll be back to try on the warm fuzzie boots. No more time today!
