I love love RT!!! This will always be my go to eatery when in doubt of «what do I have taste for.» I can’t even remember when I had a bad experience at any location. Nevertheless, I’ll speak on my experience here last night. Our waiter, Shawn, he was just ok. No over the top customer service, but just ok service. He was punctual and fulfilled all of our request. He seemed a bit disturbed but nevertheless he didn’t hinder our dining experience. My mom was super hungry and all she keep raving about was the shrimp fondue. So she ordered it, amongst the rest of our foods. Only to our surprise, Shawn returned about 10 minutes later to inform my mom«I was just told we’re out of the fondue. » My was super disappointed. Not sure why Shawn didn’t alert us earlier, nevertheless I couldn’t understand why they were out on a Saturday evening(6pm). I told my mom you should definitely speak to the manager about your concerns if not I will. Sooooo… I asked the Manger to visit the table and my mom expressed her concern. The manager expressed how sorry she was and apologized for the disappointment. But, about five minutes later, the manager returned to the table and advised her cook is going to make the shrimp fondue just for her. While my mom was very happy now, I couldn’t help to think… just a minute ago you were out but now the fondue magically appears. How interesting but by time it was ready we all had finished our meal. I had the hickory bourbon salmon with broccoli and the salad bar super yummy. Salmon cooked to perfection and just the right amount of flavor. I requested my broccoli well done and mmmmmm mmmmm good — it was the best! Melted right in my mouth… loved it! ! The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The room temp was pleasant. It only fell short of the 5th star due to the food item being unavailable then magically being available… deceit if you will. But I’d recommend this location. After you eat, you can head to Lynnhaven Mall or Dave & Buster’s and work off some of those calories… both are in walking distance from RT. Have fun :)

I’m giving Ruby Tuesday a 2 star because of their food. Service was decent. Our server Bennet was nice and attentive. I ordered their double decker chicken with«baked» Mac ‘n’ cheese & sweet potato fries. My boyfriend ordered a RibEye medium-rare(which Ruby’s menu describes as a «warm pink center») with salad bar & the same Mac ‘n’ cheese. Our food arrived rather quickly(who doesn’t love that right?). My food looked & smelled amazing, Mac was still smoking hot. My boyfriend’s food however was all completely wrong. His RibEye was bloody before he even cut into it. I would say this was prepared VERYRARE. Also — his Mac ‘n’ cheese was COLD! I told our waitress Bennet and she was very gracious & took the food back to the kitchen but she asked if we wanted to request«medium» instead. That must have been a clue right there that the kitchen didn’t even know their own definitions of steak preparation. When the food came back — I swear to high heavens it looked like they nuked it in the microwave. Steak had lost all its juices and was brown all the way through. The Mac was hot, oh yes, and browned on the top. Very disappointed after spending over $ 60 to have a meal so poorly prepared.

Per my review regarding the RT in Greenbriar — I enjoy the food and generally the service too — at this establishment. However, one evening my boyfriend and I stopped in for a bite and we’ve not returned since to this kocation. It was a Friday or Saturday night, not too busy as we were seated almost immediately. We placed our drink order and our food and didn’t hear from our waitress for the next 40 minutes. Seriously. We watched the clock — never did she come back to our table. With no refills and no food after 40 minutes, we slapped $ 10 on the table and walked out. Ridiculous! Very disappointing service.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The place wasn’t even that busy and yet every single item my family ordered was wrong in some way. My husband’s draft beer had a slimy oyster looking substance in it. He returned it. Thirty to forty five minutes later when he finally got a new one the glass was only half full. This glass also had a slimy oyster looking substance floating on top, so he returned it as well. My kid’s pasta dish had maybe half a tablespoon of sauce on it and it took a good thirty minutes to get more sauce. Everyone at our table received their food and I had to wait an additional 30 – 45 minutes to receive mine. My husband ordered a glass of water three times and didn’t receive it until he was done with his meal. Basically all the food was screwed up in some way, the beer lines were obviously dirty or something because draft beer isn’t suppose to have slimy substances floating around in it, we couldn’t even get a glass of water. To top it off– the bartender tried to be a smartass by returning my husbands beer glass only half full because he complained the first time about the slimy stuff in the beer. This place was a last resort because I’ve had bad experiences here before. Next time while out at the mall I’ll get something from the food court and stay away from Ruby Tuesday. Complete waste of my money and time.

Everything was fine and dandy always a good salad bar i eat here often and get a ruby relaxer. Until i thought my world was ending, first i heard a strange rattle followed by a huge red from the firey pits of hell lampshade that decided to crumble down upon my head and ruin my day, at its final landing hitting my plate a smoldering hot delicately breaded shrimp blasts from my plate and hits me in my eye ball. Tears of hatred and embarrasment ran from my good eye that wasnt attacked by a jumbo shrimp. The waiter was in humor as of the rest of the resturant. To top off the laughing i heard a loud«bruh» bolt into my eardrum. My boyfriend walking back to the table in confusion. The manager came over and attempted to put the lampshade back on after I told her to leave it off because my adrenaline was pumping harder than heroin she said the last time it happened the whole light bulb broke on to the customer so I guess that meant I got lucky, pissed off i couldnt eat my food that had lamp dust covering my ozzing sirlon. They took my food off but made us pay for the rest of my food and pay for my embarassemet. Pay for my black eye pay for my pounding headache. I will tell everyone this story until the day i die. Im so upset and my soul hurts. And so does the shrimp.

Horrible experience! I am not picky but this was one of the worst dining experiences ever. First of all it wasn’t even busy, took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Took almost an hour to get our food with only 3 tables there. I got the ribs and shrimp combo. The ribs were cold! Not room temp cold but refrigerator cold. Our«server» went to get a manager. The manager went to the wrong table to talk about the issue then came and apologized for going to the wrong table. She told me she would take care of the ribs. By this she meant send me home with some hot ones. I don’t want hot ribs to go. I wanted to eat my dinner at the resultant. Then she told me my Stella was on the way. I never ordered another beer and they didn’t even have Stella on tap! The manager and server took a total of three trips to refill one water. After getting my check the sever said he tried to comp us by removing the Sprite. We only had water and one draft beer. I am mind blown at this point. The manager and sever didn’t try to compensate. No customer service at all. I could include more details but no need. I would of rather went to bed hungry then pay for this horrible dining experience!

Good service, friendly staff. Don’t understand the bad reviews, but I will add the slow service is probably due to the high traffic area. No issues during non rush hours.

Service wasn’t the greatest. Server was not very knowledgeable of the menu. She originally told me i got two sides, so i ordered two sides. Than she told me i only got one side. I substituted fries for onion rings and i was still given fries. She told me the salad bar came with my meal, than after i got salad she told me it counted as a side. Overall this place was very mediocre

The service was great, we had a great waiter, we tipped him very good. The food was reasonable, salad bar was great, just wish the entrée items were a bit bigger though. This seems to be getting to be the norm these days, pay more than what get. We’ll return due to the great service and the salad bar.

I have been a regular in the RT franchise. My partner likes the salad so from time to time, we dine in at RT. As usual, RT likes to locate their restaurants inside/within the mall and this one is the same. This RT seems to be successful as it is near the AMC movie theater where the diners come from. This makes this RT busy but you are not ignored in any RT. There is always someone to greet, seat and take your order.

It wasn’t bad but it was great neither. We had gotten the shrimp typhoon? And shrimp fondue for appetizers. I got the top sirloin and grilled zucchini and salad bar for my entrée. My steak was definitely rare when I asked for medium well. They accidentally gave me onion rings instead of zucchini which he realized and brought me the correct side. Salad bar was just lacking ingredients. Oh And the size of the shrimp typhoon was not 8 – 9 bucks worthy. It was soo small. We had a great waiter though. So I’d probably go back because if the great service and try something else.

This ruby Tuesday used to be pretty good. My friend and I would come there all the time and eat something different every time and it’s been fine. My most recent time was a complete disaster! I order the Thai poon shrimp and when I received it I saw the shrimp was still gray: RAW! It’s a «fried» dish, I don’t see how they could be undercooked unless they didn’t cook it the designated amount of time. I hesitantly send it back expecting that they cook the same food just a little more, Nope. Comes back still raw again. The waiter barely came to the table, didn’t seem to care that I was so disgusted that I didn’t eat anything at all while being there. I’ll never go back.

Today we went to Ruby Tuesday… beside the craziness of the construction… it was a great area, great day at mall with us girls… We got to the restaurant and I went to restroom, can you say DISGUSTING! If you keep your restrooms like this how do you keep your kitchen? I got back to my table where my best friend was there waiter served her a water and I waited for 10 minutes to get a water but had a menu. Not good waiting serve etiquette! For every menu a water as they look for food… We got our food and server never came back… upon our leaving the waiter still never brought check, the table beside us had issues so manager came over… We grabbed manager asked for check abd left displeased! He was very cordial, offered free desserts but at that point we were done. It’s sad because Customer Service, DISGUSTING facilities really KILLS a great meal and a great salad bar…

Not the same as other Ruby Tuesday’s. Salad bar not that great. Super empty, compared to other Ruby Tuesday’s.

Ruby Tuesday is an ok restaurant. This review is specific to this location which is at Lynnhaven Mall. I work at this mall and have for years. As such, if I want something quick before or after work or drinks — I typically come here because they have more specials that Uno’s does(which is also in the same section) The food here is ok. Nothing to write home about. I’m usually here for happy hour and I like the fish tacos and the spinach dip. If I get something other than that — I get the Bacon Avocado Turkey Burger(it is to die for. IDK what the heck they are putting in the turkey burger to season it, but that thang is seasoned to sheer perfection) They have some different drink specials, I get the Ruby Relaxer which is $ 5 bucks — not bad. The issue that I have with this location is the staff. I always sit at the bar and the bartender is usually really good or really bad(different bartenders) Seems to me that the staff at this location has a lot of friends that they entertain, rather than waiting on the customers. I have been ignored while sitting at a more than half empty bar, watched employees play with each other, sit, talk and eat in the bar area while still on the clock(I’ve seen them still halfway try to attempt to service other customers during this period) and what is worse is that the manager on duty either is oblivious to these shenanigans or just doesn’t give a damn anymore. I’ve started going to Fridays or CBIP which are both close and have better food and better service.

I am a Ruby Tuesday’s regular, but I won’t go back to this one. Server didn’t understand the menu. Menu said Grilled Salmon Salad came with salad bar. She disagreed and said, «It’s big enough. You’ll get full.» Then we waited 25 minutes for our food to show up cold. No manager in sight.

My experience at this Ruby Tuesday was better than others I have been to. It was clean, the servers were friendly and the food was good.

Normally I am not a fan of Ruby Tuesdays. Grabbed a quick bite before a movie and our waitress was very very good. Tried the fire wings, they were tasty, decent sized pieces of chicken, sauce was spicy but nit overbearing. I got the pretzel bacon cheeseburger it was really good. The hubby got spicy fish tacos which he enjoyed as well. I am not a big fan of chain restaurants but this did the job tonight. Side note when you sit down they give you these tasty little roll/biscuit type things, nice touch.

I ordered the Tilapia Trio. At my first bite, I thought whoa, I hope the other two taste better. Nope. Each piece of fish was different yet equally terrible. I was one of those meals where you force yourself to eat half of it just because you bought it. The fish was extremely salted and dry. Nothing about it, the rice, or the mango salsa tasted fresh. Hopefully there are other items on the menu that are better. This helps to explain why the place was slow on a Saturday night.

From my experience, this Ruby Tuesday is much better than the one in South Independence(near Target). The service was actually great the last couple of times I ate here. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Our drinks were refilled before asking, and she made sure she offered more garlic cheese biscuits when we ran out. I’m glad that Ruby Tuesday revamped their menu. I tried their guacamole dip, and I thought it was actually really good. I always order their new orleans seafood for my entrée, which hasn’t disappointed me either. Definitely try their ruby relaxer and/or red sangria. Both are really great drinks. The reason why I’m only giving 3 stars is because I would give the South Independence location a 1 star. Also, this location can get really busy since it’s right outside the mall/AMC so great service is a hit or miss.
