Took my husband Bobby to dinner for his birthday knowing we would not have a bad experience! As always it was GREAT! They serve hot, freshly baked Ciabatta bread which we so enjoyed along with a great glass of vino! We’re not HUGE eaters so we did not order an appetizer. Bobby had the Tuna Tataki, which came with a seaweed salad, dynamite crab gratin, wontons & soy-mirinand! Tt was fresh and dish. I ordered the Chesapeake Crab Bisque which is a creamy lump crab soup which we shared! Truly some of the best I’ve ever had! Had a deep Umami flavor! YUM! For dinner I had the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna which was cooked perfectly! It came with shrimp fried rice, wok seared veggies all in a delicious sesame sauce! I ate til I was full the shared with Bobby ~ we wanted to lick the plate! Of course the ambiance is awesome… upscale but very friendly and fun! Right on Broad Creek near the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. LOVE LoVE LOVE LoVE One Fish Two Fish! NOTTOBEMISSED!

Hands down the best aged porthouse steak I have ever ate in my life! I have had many steaks from renowned resturants, but have been so perfectly marinated and cooked like this. Just delicous. Atmosphere is appealing being that it’s located in a marina, and it has a open room Kitchen.

Grabbed a few drinks with some friends on Friday night. There was a nice crowd in the bar area and the bartenders were very attentive. Nice cocktail menu, I enjoyed the Grapefruit Cosmo and the Moscow Mule. They actually serve their mules in the copper mug! We ordered the calamari/onion rings and it was a very large portion. Nice quiet place on a Friday night that still had a good vibe. Definitely looking forward to coming back in warmer weather and enjoying dinner on the deck!

I loved this restaurant. A great location by the water. It was clean and nice inside. The staff was friendly. The food was so good! I’d definitely recommend this place!

My wife and I had dinner here last evening. As there was a large group celebrating a birthday in the dining room, we opted to dine where we usually do… at the bar. The ambiance is very nice but much better in the bar area. The dining room can be very noisy given the wood floors, etc. And I always like a restaurant like this with the kitchen in the middle of everything. At the bar, we were taken care of by David-a most excellent bartender/server. His recommendations were spot on! The food was spectacular. We started with the Tuna Tataki, which is unlike any I had had before. Very nice portion of sashimi grade tuna topped with sweet lump crabmeat on a bed of seaweed salad-all flavored with a Soy-Mirin. Not to be missed. We followed that up with a pair of lump crab cakes, which rate right up there with the best I have ever had. This entrée came with a side of sweet potato steak fries and some tasty fritters. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée which was most definitely the best I have ever had. The wine list had most everything you would desire. For example, my wife likes a good Sauvignon Blanc. She had a choice of no less than 9 of them! The bourbon and whiskey selection was also fairly deep. All in all, a great experience. Oh, and we we were there in the later evening and could not appreciate the spectacular views from the restaurant. David showed us some sunset photos he took the past few weeks and I really want to get back there to see it!

My wife and I had a great meal here. I had the crab cakes with a glass of the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, a good pairing. Unfortunately, I left my sunglasses at the restaurant. But fortunately, Tracy, the manager was super responsive and FedEx-ed my sunglasses back to me the following week after I emailed the restaurant. Many thanks«One Fish Two Fish» for the great meal and sending my sunglasses back to me.

Great place for fresh food. I had a ribeye steak that was amazing. Usually ribeye has a decent amount of fat on it, but the cut I had was nearly all steak. I guess that’s why they advertise it as grass fed. The service was good, nothing bad about it, but just middle of the road. The views and ambiance are amazing. The modern feel and look, and open kitchen are very unique to the area. I’ll definitely be going back the next time I’m ready for a good steak!

Been here several times. Always been good. Probably some of the best dining-views you’ll see. Tonight we watched sea otters dancing and swimming next to our window. Like ten feet away. The food is always good. The ambiance is nice. But I’m a stickler for service and good personalities and people who are good at what they do for a living. Especially when they work for tips. I wasn’t wowed by my server tonight. He didn’t even introduce himself. Serving 101. Personality of a brick wall. I kept thinking, «who would willingly hire this kind of personality for a hospitality industry position.» It’s a pretty pricey dining experience as well. But with the view, the environment and food quality, I’ll give it four stars and consider it worth the money.

Great location by chicks beach. Clean, stylish setting with great views of the channel. Can pull up on your boat, but a little tricky to get to by car. Delicious seafood & wonderful wine selection. I try to stop by every time I’m in town!

Agree with many of the reviews here. I had the fried flounder on mashed potatoes. Both the fish and potatoes were beyond my expectation for taste. It’s not often a restaurant can make excellent mashed potatoes. These were very good and mixed well with the flounder and cabbage pieces(they call it coleslaw).

The atmosphere and location are great the service is about average the portion sizes are very small and probably one of the priciest in Tidewater but very good. If you drink wine just buy the bottle because they pour about three quarters of what a regular class would be so they try to get 5 glasses per bottle of wine

We ate here last night with a large group. This place was amazing. Crab bisque was one of the best I’ve had. Everyone enjoyed their meals and had clean plates. The wine list is great. Service was great.

Great service, cold beer, delicious seafood. I would recommend the jumbo shrimp any day! The view is also lovely.

One of my favorite places in Virginia Beach. One of the reasons why is that the menu changes seasonally so there is always something new to try. I typically order the fried oysters and seared scallops as appetizers for our table as soon as we arrive. I love oysters and these are the best I have ever had fried. With the pickle and sauce they have it is a great combo! Another great combo includes the seared scallops along with the Virginia ham and greens when they have them. Some of my guests have enjoyed the scallop appetizers so much that they have asked the chef to make an entrée portion and they obliged. I would avoid the steak here as you can get much better around town and seafood is their specialty. Nice bar area for you to grab a couple of drinks before your table is ready on a busy night or before the rest of your party arrives. Great view at sunset especially in the outdoor seating when available. Be sure to save room for dessert!

Had a great dinner the other night. I had the fried flounder and it fantastic — my husband had the ribeye and that too was good but for 30.00 we did expect it to be a better quality cut of beef… overall it was awesome! Will be back for sure… make sure u sit outside but the high top tables are wobbly and a bit dirty looking… ask for a regular table.

If you asked me what my favorite restaurant in Virginia Beach, I would say One Fish-Two fish. I have experienced this restaurant from many different«shoes». I have had date nights, group dinners, and even had a work party held here. In my opinion, it does come with a decent sized price tag. It’s my favorite place to splurge. The outside view is awesome. Calm water, docked boats, cruising boats. The inside view is impressive, too. The kitchen is set up in the dining area so you can watch the cooks make your food. The chef is very particular about freshness of the ingredients. He usually decides specials depending on the in-season fresh stuff on hand. The menu usually changes every season. I absolutely love their Sesame seared Ahi Tuna(I’ve had it 3 times!) and I highly recommend it if it’s on the menu. This time, we enjoyed the Seafood Pasta with lots of big fresh scallops and multiple large shrimp and the daily special– Mahi with coconut rice and plantain chips. So, if you are looking for a nice place to take your significant other, family, friends, etc take them here! Btw, no jeans allowed! You don’t have to get all fancy, just let your guy know he’s gotta ditch the jeans and tennis shoes!

Had a work event here and everything was amazing so decided to give the non-event menu a try yesterday. After spending a day out enjoying the weather we were all starved and looking forward to some great food. Unfortunately we received mediocre food and service. We ordered the tataki and calamari for appetizers and steak, jumbo shrimp, and mahi mahi special. Sadly the appetizers were the best plates. Both were a great, especially the sauce for the calamari! But after those the theme of the evening was bland. The steaks were tough and under seasoned, and accompanying mashed potatoes were bland. Jumbo shrimp was ok, just ok. The shrimp had no seasoning in the batter. The mahi special was good, but not great. Could have made it at home and for the price for all food we should have. Enough about food I think bland covered enough. Our server was hopefully just having an off night. We had to ask for the same things several times over 20 – 30 minutes just to get simple things, water refills, bread, etc. We ordered a bottle of white wine and had to request an ice bucket. That’s not ok, we were outside and it was a warm evening. We had consumed half the bottle while waiting for it, yet again another 20 minute wait. For the price we paid i expected better food and service. There are so many other great restaurants in the area that this place isn’t worth giving another chance to.

Great place! Did not leave hungry. Came for Valentine’s Day, it’s kind of hidden and placed further back from the road and parking is kind of where ever but it’s a good place to get good seafood. I had salmon for $ 18 and my husband has flounder for $ 22. Menu was small. Open bar. Drinks were pricey. Ehh that’s every restaurant though. Our server was quirky, he seemed alright didn’t have too many suggestions or personality but did a good job. Would try again

The was perhaps the best meal I have had during my two years living in VB. The creativity of our dishes deserves 6 star. Although some time has lapsed since dining at One Fish-Two Fish the Tuna Tataki still dances on my tongue when I think of it. My cucumber gimlet and his pomegranate margarita were spot on, beautiful and delicious. The huge rib hanging out of his veal chop reminded me of Fred Flinstone, quite creative and perfectly grilled. Our server was perfect. She never once interrupted our conversation and knew exactly when we needed her. The view of the water could have been better but the patio had a wedding reception going on. We could see it but barely heard it, very nice. You will drop a good deal of cash here but every now and then pampering is well deserved.
