I’m very much enjoy the fact that I can shop here and get help when I need it. They even have an information station if you need help looking for something or finding something that will help with an ailment. They also sell natural foods here. They offer psychic readings and many many other things. Check this place out if you haven’t been there yet.

I love the new location of the Heritage! It’s so much easier to get in and out of! I recently went in there to stock up on my aromatherapy scents and to find a homeopathic remedy for stress for dogs(I run a pet sitting business and some of the dogs could use a little help relaxing :)) I found exactly what I was looking for and was happy with my selection. As I was checking out the cashier(Who’s name I believe was Giles) offered some advice about a liquid herbal relaxant(for lack of a better term) that he used with his dog for thunderstorms and fireworks. His recommendation was so great that I ended up purchasing his recommended product and he also said that if I was in any way dissatisfied with it that I could return it, even if it was used.(Which wasn’t usually their policy.) His concern and help was greatly appreciated!!! I love this store and their reasonable prices!

I went to The Heritage Center for a massage because I’m trying to get rid of my snobby day spa ways. I’m thinking as long as I get a good massage, hey I don’t need the plush robes, slippers and la di da atmosphere. I knew from going to the web site and also to the bookstore next door that Heritage was a holistic, kind of new age kind of place, and I can get into that. I made my appointment the same day,(it was off season at the beach so I figured they wouldn’t be booked up). Their prices are very reasonable. When I made the appointment I asked if they had showers I could use before hand since I was out and about and I hate having a massage with the days grim on me. They did have a shower. When I got there it’s the total opposite of the spectrum from A Red Door Spa kind of place. They were in the office I sat in to fill out my first time client form and they were shooting the breeze about Lord knows what. When it was time to start the receptionist(I guess that’s who she was) introduced me to my massage therapist who was one of the women in the room talking. She was eating something but she had the good graces to wipe her hand off on her shirt before shaking my hand. Whatever, I just want a good massage. She showed me to the room and started the shower for me. The shower may have been very clean but I couldn’t get over who it looked, it was one of those bath fitter showers and I could have spit on myself with more force than the water pressure was, also the water was on as hot as it goes and it was luke warm at best. I just rinsed off and ended it. I got under the heated blanket and waited for my massage to start. It was a good massage, I rank it towards the middle of my list of massages. She did get heavy handed on my back it kind of hurt, but that was my fault for not telling her it was too much pressure. She did start with some idle chatter, which is a NONO with me and massages, but I just gave short answers to indicate I’m not into talking right now. One other thing there was an AC unit or something in the ceiling that was making noise through the entire session. I didn’t let it get to me but I could see how it could get to someone. If you want just your run of the mill good massage and don’t care if you get the relaxing experience throughout the enitre experience this place will be alright for you.
