My daughter has hurt wrist and shoulder, gets soft cast on wrist. Followup visit, no Dr. Klein just some assistant who gives us a list for physical therapy. Return visit in three weeks, Dr. Klein shows up and says we should have gone to a specific recommended therapist, should not have gotten the steroid iontopherisis on a young kid(PT apparently never checked with DR.), saw no evidence of a shoulder therapy(pt never treated shoulder), no exercises given, etc. Wasted money and time b/c Dr. Klein did not show up for the followup visit. Now we start over again — Dr. Klein upset at what his practice did to us but no one offers to make it up to us.

I saw Dr. Morina for a Baker’s Cyst behind my left knee in September. I had googled what the lump behind my knee was, so he just confirmed it. He sent me for an MRI and I went back a couple of days later. He told me I had a tear in the meniscus, but did nothing except tell me to use a heating pad. The pain wasn’t getting any better, so I went back. He didn’t come in the room, he sent in his PA. She gave me a cortisone shot, but that only helped the pain for 9 days. I then went back again. This time I again saw the PA and was put on prednisone for 12 days. That did nothing but make me want to eat everything I saw. Again I went back, this time I was told to go to Physical Therapy by the PA. I really resented that my appointments were to be with Dr. Morina, but I only saw the PA. I went to PT twice at their facility and came out in more pain than I had gone in with. The second time I went another patient had to help me get out to my car with tears streaming down my face. I then decided I had had enough with this practice and made an appointment to see another doctor. I called Atlantic Orthopedic to get my records sent to the other doctor. I filled out their paper work authorizing them to send them, but guess what? They never sent anything to the other doctor. Don’t waste your time or money with Dr. Morina or their PT department.

This place is a joke. I’ve been suffering with extreme shoulder pain for two weeks trying to treat it myself with Advil. So I broke down and went to the after hours clinic, Ortho Now. After waiting for 2 ½ hours, the assistant that saw me(no there is no doctor, just the PA), told me to take advil and if it still hurts in a few weeks, I should come back and see a doctor for a cortisone shot. WHAT? Do you think I needed to pay you to tell me to see a doctor? Unbelievable. Milking patients and insurance companies for money. Ridiculous and unprofessional not to mention unethical.

I was referred by my local Orthopedic Surgeon to Dr. Brad Carofino for my rotator cuff repair. I couldn’t be happier with him. He spoke to me, not past me. Gave me what I needed to know and my options. When I finally scheduled my surgery(my choice to delay it) everything went fine. The process was efficient and timely and the staff at the Surgery Center was very nice(except 1). Dr. C must be highly skilled because I had very little pain. I only took pain meds for a couple of nights so I could fall asleep, but that was it. Six months later I went back work, back to the gym, and I’m lifting weights 3 times a week without any difficulty. I come in contact with many physicians and as far as I’m concerned he is one of the best, both in skill and interpersonal skills. The staff at the Chesapeake office is OK; not the most efficient I’ve seen, but they are courteous and I was seen on time.

We were referred here by Sentara ER for treatment of a spinal injury. At first I wasn’t too happy when I learned they are on the third floor and there are no wheel chairs available at the entrance. You have to go up to their office on the third floor and tender your license. You get it back when you turn the chair back in. That means 4 elevator rides per visit. Hub sustained a very painful injury while we were on vacation. We did an ambulance ride to an ER on Cayman Island. We got home sat. night and were in the ER here on Sunday. When I called Atlantic Monday morning they said they would see us on Friday. I turned on the emotions and got in the next day. We didn’t wait very long before we were greeted by hmmmm, that’s right, she didn’t say who she was only said«you look better than what we were expecting». I think she was disappointed. However, she changed her tune when Dr. Budorick scheduled surgery, which has been postponed(yeah) because he is improving. Dr. Budorick is exactly what we want to see in a surgeon. He was to the point, no filler, and let us make the decisions based on the information he gave us. Hub isn’t healed yet but I’m positive he will be under the care of Dr. Budorick.

This is a very busy practice but the staff is always courteous and professional. The docs are really good.
