Went last night around 7:30PM and first of all, the parking lot was completely dark(someone forgot to turn on the lights). Then when we went to order their Quesadilla Hamburger the waiter said they were out of taco shells and the ground beef was nearly out… WTF? All the previous week and this weekend Applebee’s has been advertising this particular meal on TV and social media… you would think the manager would have had some forethought and order enough taco shells and ground beef to meet the expected demand… not good. Left and went to Fire-subs instead.

Unfortunately, I cannot give 0 stars. I had lunch here for Veteran’s Day & got food poisoning. Immediately after eating my salad I ran to the bathroom & vomited. I told the manager & all she could do was ask me if she could write up a report. She then told me she would write a report. I told her I didn’t care what she did; she didn’t need my blessing to do paperwork. Her pitiful attitude & lack of care almost made me punch her in the throat. I’m unsure if there was an apology, but I didn’t stick around for a comp. We had already paid & tipped. I left quickly, feeling queasy & pissed. Do NOT eat there.

Always a pleasant visit every time I’ve gone no matter what kind of event or holiday. They work with the local middle and high schools with their fundraisers, for varies sports, clubs and supplies. With a great staff working their from pick up, bartenders, waitresses, and bus boys. Everyone working very well supporting each other. With various of delicious meals and specials and of course the DRINK specials you just can’t go wrong !!! Cheers !!!

Although it was busy, the service was good. Our waitress was awesome and funny. We felt very welcome and my food was fantastic. I ordered the 4-cheese honey pepper Mac and cheese. Yum! I don’t really recommend the nachos but some people have different taste than others :)

It wasn’t busy and our service was slow. There seemed to be a lot going on between the wait staff. The food was fair.

Applebee’s really needs to offer Vegetarian meal options. My boyfriend loves this restaurant(cheap drinks), but their options for vegetarians are quite limited. Not much to offer a vegetarian other than chips/dip, cheese sticks, baked potato, and a garden salad. All of their meals contain meat. They don’t even offer a main salad without meat. Disappointing. I’m giving 2 stars for the low prices and friendly service.

I took my wife for a little Sunday afternoon lunch at Applebee’s, still trying to find a place that we can have as a regular spot for lunch after church. When we arrived the Hostess was really friendly and we had a nice waitress named Tammy. Initially we started off on a bad note because the table we sat at was sticky. But we asked to move and Tammy said it would be no problem. Drink course: Ordered Arnold Palmer’s for me and my wife, a little too much lemonade to the amount of iced tea but still good. Appetizer course: Ordered a Cesar for the wife and House Salad for myself, my salad was made with fresh bacon, a plus but packaged croutons, a minus. Leaves of lettuce were cut too large. My wife’s Cesar was good but not the best she’s had. Entrée Course: Ordered a three cheese chicken penne which was good, chicken had wonderful flavor. Wife had a Lime Chicken and rice dish which she was very good. Our server was upbeat, positive and nice. However the manager was not out and present; management should be doing rounds on a busy Sunday when regulars are present. All in all a disappointing Sunday lunch.

This place has really gone downhill!!! I came here for lunch yesterday with my husband and I was disappointed with everything I ordered. Every now and then I like to just order a few appetizers as my meal, so this is what I did yesterday. I started with the Pretzel Sticks and Pub Cheese. It was pretty gross. The pretzel sticks were weighed down with a ton of grease and tasted like they had been fried more than once. And the«cheese» was just a messy glob that had been obviously been heated in the microwave. It was kind of a white cheese, which I truly did not care for. I also ordered boneless buffalo wings and the chili«nachos.» The buffalo wings were ok, but I’ve had much much better. And the«nachos» were not even nachos! On the menu they had Chips and Salsa and then they had Chili Nachos. The«chili nachos» were just the same tortilla chips with salsa thrown on top and a tiny bit of chili thrown in and the same terrible«cheese» that came with the pretzels. At lease the manager was nice enough to take the«nachos» off our bill. I don’t know about you, but to me, nachos are corn tortilla chips with thick cheddar cheese. These were not nachos! So disappointed! My hubby’s meal of fish and chips was ok, but he didn’t really enjoy it either. We shall not return.

Out of the 3 Applebee’s locations near the area, this one has to be the best one. 4 stars because of the waitress not being attentive as much as she needed to be, Great food, food came out at a fair time frame. It was delicious, and it was a great atmosphere. If you are looking to go to an Applebee’s please go to this location and avoid the one off of battlefield blvd unless you want to wait 2 hours for a seat and avoid the one in the Grassfield area unless you want to eat human hair in your food. Will be coming to this location if I ever have a craving for the boneless wings. Thank you Kempsville Applebee’s. Also, they should turn the AC down just slightly. Everytime my family comes in, it tends to be very cold, and we try our best to avoid the seats/booths that are right next to the vent.

I took my young son and daughter to have dinner. Immediately the manager Jasmine asked us if we wanted to be seated at the Bar. I replied«can’t you see that these are children! Why would you ask if they want to be seated at the Bar???» Smh. No reply. Needless to say, I won’t be visiting that location anymore. I will say that our server was very pleasant though which is the only reason why I’m giving them 2 stars.

Meh… wonton taco. I didn’t want to eat here but I did. I don’t like the way they have redone the interior, granted it’s been a while since I’ve been in. The bar used to be a bar. Now it’s a place where people eat. if you don’t want a bar get rid of the bar and make more seating.

Usually love Applebee’s, however they didn’t have basic condiments and they undercooked our onion rings. Not their best.

I’m not generally a fan of chain restaurants, but I’m seldom really disappointed with Applebee’s. This was no exception. Service was friendly and enthusiastic. Food was properly done, and tasty. On a Wednesday night, it was easy to have a normal conversation with our friends. I had the 7 oz steak with shrimp. My wife had the shrimp and chicken. The steak was done medium rare, as I requested, and decently tender. We got the 2 for $ 20 deal. This is not a fine dining experience, but it’s quite adequate.

This review is for a carryout order. We were in the mood for some good burgers for dinner. We didn’t want fast food and didn’t feel like taking the kids out to a restaurant, so our choices were Five Guys or Applebees. We decided to give Applebees a shot. I had the Fire Pit Bacon Burger, my husband had the Cowboy Burger, and the kids split the quesadilla appetizer. They were all delicious. Seriously, my burger was SO good. If you’re in the mood for good burgers but don’t feel like dining in, Applebees is a viable option. They even offer carside to go, which is very convenient, especially if you have kids in tow.

Upon leaving the Casting Crowns concert, a group of us decided to hit up Applebee’s(not rob the place, but you know… like eat there). I tried their brand new bruschetta chicken topped based with diced tomatoes and spices. I have to admit it was really lacking in just about everything. First the most important part is the chicken. What NOT to do: Throw a freshly thawed chicken breast in a microwave and when hot top it with a tomato spice combo. What I think was done: Please read above. The result was a very tired tongue searching for flavor that should have been soaked into every part of that unlucky chicken. Instead, it was dry, near flavorless and what little taste I could scrounge up was in the tomato topping of which I will now call the ‘cloak’. However, the cloaking is not meant to be the main flavor in a dish, but rather a complimentary sidekick, like Robin. If it stands out to me memorial, great, but if it’s the only thing that makes it palatable, somethings wrong. Sorry Applebee’s, bad score this time. I usually really like their food, but this plate needs more practice before being placed on a table in front of a nerd with a smartphone and the Unilocal app.

Your local Applebee’s. Ok, it is a chain but here is the kicker — $ 1.50 tap beers all day, every day. What else could you ask for? I’ve been in this place a few times but never during the afternoon. The bartender could have been a lot happier to see us, I mean really, there was no one there and she had a peculiar habit of ending every sentence with ‘over there” as in: Did you decide what you want to drink over there? Did you want to order anything else over there? Strange.
