It doesn’t matter what you order it is all good. The staff is awesome. The prices are cheap and you get a lot of food. We have never gotten a bad meal from here. My new favorite restaurant when I come through Vinton.

Get.the.sausage.poofs! (Everything else is going to be familiar to you: traditional(well-executed) breakfast food, typical nostalgic décor, pleasant waitresses, homey exterior, blah blah blah. Good breakfast place. Phenomenal signature dish)

We were driving through the area on our vacation and we saw Jerry’s on the side. My husband said, how about eating there? I said, let’s go for it. Glad that we did. We have had great experiences at local restaurants such as this one in the past. This one did not break our streak. Great home style cooking and loved the selection of side dishes. I ordered the potato cake and when I asked if they had sour cream and applesauce for them, our waitress looked as if she had never heard of it. I told her that I have always eaten it this way. Our waitress brought me a small side of sour cream as I had ordered the applesauce as a side. The roast beef was tender and just pulled apart with a fork. My husband loved the mixed greens, pickled beets and coleslaw. I don’t recall the last time that I have ever seen pickled beets as a side. Manager helped out in the kitchen but still made time to come out and check on those that were eating and even bused the tables as she talked to them. If we are in the area again, we will come back for another meal. OH Do Not forget to ask for or a taste of their homemade strawberry jam. We read about it via a review, glad we did. We ended up purchasing a large jar. Can’t wait to get back home and enjoy this with biscuits.

We enjoyed a great Sunday lunch. The Sunday menu is trimmed down but don’t worry. There’s plenty of choices. We enjoyed fried chicken, turkey and dressing, country fried steak along with a 3 sides each and selection of bread. Corn muffins were fantastic. Great value. Great home cookin’. Definitely going back the next time we are in town.

Enjoyed my breakfast at Jerry’s. It is homestyle cooking. I had a pancake, egg, potato cake and tea. My dining partners had a omelet, biscuit, blt, two sausage poofs, and tea. Our meal was about $ 25. Not a bad deal. I expect we will return to Jerry’s from time to time.

This is plain old home style cooking, inexpensive and good. I give them five stars for NEVER disappointing me. A friendly place with good food, not prepackaged. This is what your grandma serves! Yummy, good stuff… don’t ask the calorie count, but it’s worth the calorie splurge!

Absolutely don’t judge by the outside appearance! This building has housed many restaurants and bars, but finally got it right. Jerry’s is good, home cooked food. Sausage poofs are famous. Lunch is good. Fried bologna is just like mom made!

You have to try the sausage poofs! Wow. Amazing :D So glad we found this place! It’s the perfect place for breakfast. We were on vacation in Roanoke and used Unilocal to narrow down some choices… even though there weren’t many reviews we took a chance and we’re so glad we did. If you want a classic American breakfast that’s delicious and reasonably priced this is the place. The service was excellent… Ashley was so sweet and treated us like family. We all left happy and full. Wish this place was down the street… we’d be regulars for sure!

Good food??? Bah! To describe this place as having good food is laughable at best. The food is very mediocre nothing special. Service can best described as bad to terrible. Waitress seemed more concerned with her own business then dealing with the table. A monkey could have done a better Job. Ambience is laughable. Very outdated and dirty. Will probably not return

Gotta say I loved it, missed breakfast by a few minutes but not their fault. Lunch was pretty good, had open faced beef, not what I was expecting but was a pot roast they had done and it was delicious meat on the open face, pretty good diner food, very clean, cute decorations, staff was very pleasant as other review said, super sweet. Would have joined the 5 star if I could have tried those biscuits and gravy lol. Really 11:03 and no breakfast? Tried my best but not happening…

Jerry’s is a classic example of not judging a book by its cover. The building is on the side end of the parking lot of a run down bingo hall. It doesn’t really scream«come eat here» from the outside, but you definitely should come eat here! More specifically, you shouldn’t miss their fantastic breakfast. The sausage gravy and biscuits are phenomenal, as are the shredded griddle cooked hash browns. They also have these things called sausage poofs which are spectacular. The biscuits are always hot and fluffy and the waitresses will call you hun. They also serve lunch and dinner on a few days of the week, as well as a «family style» meal on Sundays, starting around noon. The place has always been clean and tables are cleared right away. The staff is all very down to earth and friendly and provide excellent service. They do stop serving breakfast rather early, around 10 I believe even on weekends, so you have to get here early(though they open at the crack of dawn). Breakfast is very reasonably priced, and they have both a la carte items and breakfast meals available. Don’t miss this place!
