Hotel looks nice on the outside, but has mediocre service. My mom and dad tried to use my mom’s corporate discount to get a room for the night and the guy at the counter said he couldn’t do it cause he didn’t know how and told us to talk to the manager in the morning. The manager claimed that the rewards card thing my dad has and my mom’s discount came to about the same price and that the discount was pretty much worthless, so we eventually ended up paying $ 20 more than we should’ve. In the room there were several little black bugs everywhere and in the morning on the way to breakfast, the sidewalk was full of them! The housekeeping ladies walking with laundry carts and sweeping the bugs away looked like they did not wanna be there as well as the«helping» lady at breakfast, who was rude and snapped at me for not using the waffle maker correctly and just kept watching us like a hawk the whole time we ate. Did I mention there’s also a sign in the lobby restrooms that say to dispose of TP in the«commode??» Well I did that in our room as well and clogged up the toilet by accident :(which is why I don’t flush TP down the toilet… not even at my own house!(as gross as that sounds) Anyway, next time we’re in that area, we’ll stick to a hotel in El Paso.

Have stayed at this location 5 times. The place is clean well maintained and comfortable. Great value. The rooms are comfortable, bathrooms clean & modern, Wi-Fi good and TV has many channels. The pool and Spa are clean and new. Best thing is they work. They have a laundry and fitness center. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I will always make this my stop when passing through.

Is this The BEST Western of all time, till this date for me it just may be! I don’t know what it is about the beds here but man they just take you out as soon as you lay down like a WWE wrestler putting you in a chokehold, and there will be no fighting back… I came here after I had checked into a motel 10 earlier that night and wasn’t able to sleep at all, and unlike motel 10 this place did not disappoint. I came to check in later which sucked because they said I’d still have to check out at the same usual time. I got my room and was driving around to the other side and saw a group of people standing outside of a room. If you know me I don’t believe in fighting fair when there’s more than one person so when I go to hotels and I’m alone I carry an actual sword with me. Got to my room safely, and hit the hay!!! A night full of sheep and Z’s for me. BOO-YAH!!!

I have checked into this hotel due to the fact that I just recently have had a loved one placed in the La tuna prison camp and was told this would be a good hotel to stay at for convince. I have to say as of right now I am completely not happy with my sister and I’s experience. The first night we checked in was Wednesday the 26th at roughly 8:45pm. We were given room 123. We had unpacked all of our belongings and had gotten situated for our stay, which is a 5 day visit. I had laid down for the night and had kept hearing scratching noises, thinking it was just the type of pillow. I went to adjust my pillow and had noticed a shadow underneath the pillow case. I had originally just thought it was a crease in the pillow and kind of just poked it out of curiosity. To my surprise I thought I had seen the shadow move, so I poked the area a little more firmly and blood came through the pillow case. So, needless to say I freaked out!!! My sister then took the pillow to the tub in the bathroom and shook the pillow up side down to see what it was. It was a cockroach!!! Disgusting!!! I was laying my head down on that pillow for a good 20−30mins before discovering this. We then quickly tore apart our beds to check for any other disgusting roaches. At this point I am completely paranoid and it is already about midnight, not to mention having to be up to go to the prison for visiting hours by 6:30 due to the Long lines. We had gone up to the front little window and told to gentleman our situation, he gave us a new room upstairs, room 226. We gathered our things and went to our new room. I was completely pissed and paranoid! We unpacked our things and checked the beds thoroughly and finally went to bed. Mind you I didn’t get any sleep because I was too worried about a cockroach being in my bed. We woke up the next morning went to breakfast and came back to our room to get things together to leave for visiting hours at the prison, my sister was putting stuff away in her suitcase and what do you know a dead cockroach right next to her stuff!!! With us being on a time crunch we decided to address this matter when we got back from the prison. At around 4:30pm on thanksgiving Thursday the 27th we went to the front desk and spoke with the lady up front and she had informed us that you were not in and she would get ahold of you to let you know about the situation. I, in the meantime asked for all new bedding and she was nice to give us new bedding and came up to our room on her own with a laundry cart to take away the old sheets and brought us new pillows. We made the beds our self so we can see with our own eyes there weren’t any roaches present. We have not noticed any other roaches but can truly say we are not happy with the cleanliness of your hotel. I am disappointed in this experience for the reason that I will be in Anthony, Texas more times to come in the future and the convenience to the prison was a nice appeal. However, having this experience leads me to think I would much rather drive another 20 mins or so to the Hampton Inn. I also have some photos of both incidents if you would like me to send them to you! I am sorry that this couldn’t have been a better experience. Your staff is nice, however the upkeep is not. I was not happy with the lack of urgencey of trying to resolve my issue and not having a manager on staff for the 5 days I was there during a holiday. They ran my card for the full amount when I had checked in. I wanted to go to another hotel but couldnt afford to add on an addtional couple hundred dollas from another hotel not knowing if I would be getting refunded in a timely manner. The office manager did contact me sunday night after my stay was completely over and I was baack into phoenix. She refunded the first night for me, which I am thankful for, however, I still do not find it remotely close to what should have been refunded. I had found two cockroaches in two seperate rooms. I was paranoid the entire stay and traumatized with the scratching noise from the cockroach inside my pillow case. This is by far the worst Hotel I have ever been in. i have grown up traveling and have been to so many hotels and never have I ever encountered a situation like this. I have even stayed in several Best westerns throughout the US and havent had this problem. I can say this has ruined my thoughts on Best western as a whole!

EDIT — the photo above is not me! Seems there are two listing for this hotel. Hence, two reviews. OK, seriously, who stays in Anthony? Poor saps like me who are passing through. Frankly, I think I rented the room for about 7 hours or so. It was clean, cheap, the people were nice. If I am stuck staying in Anthony again, I will stay there again. Sorry I don’t have more, but I think I wrote one sentence for each hour I stayed there.

Best Western is my hotel of choice when I am traveling for work because of its generally consistent quality and great value. I am a Diamond Elite member and tuck myself into a Best West bed somewhere between 50 and 100 nights a year. That’s why I was horrified to learn that I had been made a meal of by dozens or more BEDBUGS in the spring of 2013 at this Anthony/El Paso location!!! I couldn’t sleep the first night, I thought it was rough sheets or the very noisy I-10 not far from the hotel. I was wrong, I was being feasted upon by tiny parasitic bugs. The same thing happened the next night, and I still had no idea why I wasn’t sleeping properly. I did have a sharp needle like pain in my side the first couple days but the bites weren’t visible for several days so I had no idea what was happening. When it dawned on me that I was attacked by bed bugs I called the hotel and told them what happened and which second story room I had stayed in, without apology the receptionist told me that they would inform the manager, I heard nothing more from them. Later I emailed the Best Western corporate office, they responded that they were sorry that my stay didn’t meet expectations. And that was it, no refund for the stay or any other form of apology. Now I stay at the America’s Best Value Inn across the street. It’s not as nice but at least I don’t go home with HUNDREDS of bug bites and the possibility of spreading them to my home. 1 star is too many for this infested hotel and its rude/negligent staff.

Stayed at Best Western, Anthony TX, while visiting our son stationed at Ft Bliss, TX. I always have zero expectations. Noticed clothes dryer was out of order. What I witnessed was clean room, sparkling pool, standard fare breakfast. ALL employees were concerned about our happiness at their location, from the professionally dressed and courteous housekeeping staff, to the humorous front desk folks. This stay was in June 2013. We previously stayed here around Thanksgiving, 2012. We saw hot and cold at this location and the employees maintained their«cool» at all times. Well, I didn’t come here to do laundry, so this is why they get 5 stars.
