Bait and switch. Got so mad about something I bought and did not get what I wanted, that I returned and was vocally unhappy with them. I’ll never go back.

BE CAREFUL WITH THE SELLING TRICK!
We recently purchased bath wall tiles from the Tyson’s Corner Store. The design& coverage area are the same as one of the showroom baths. The salesman calculated the price for all the wall tiles and told us the price was around $ 1000, which is over our budget. Seeing that we were hesitated to place the order, he said he could offer us a 25% discount. Then we immediately bought the tiles. He said he will email us the order receipt, which was not sent to us until we asked for it a week later.
When our contractor was preparing for the tile installation, he found out that we were short of two boxes of the expensive mosaic tiles, meaning that the salesman only ordered half of what we need for the coverage. Therefore, we had to go back and spent over $ 330 more for the extra tiles.
We feel that we were tricked to buy the tiles in the first place given the appealing store «discount». It’s extremely unprofessional and unethical to sell the tiles but order only half of the quantity needed to make the sale happen and happen like a «appealing deal» to the customer. We were not able to verify the quantity at the time of the purchase because he didn’t provide us the receipt. Even if we did have the receipt, it would also be difficult for us to identify the lack of tiles because we are not tile salesmen/​installers.
We went back to question him why the tiles quantity was short but the sales guy didn’t give us a satisfied answer. He was trying to argue that the design was not finalized when we placed the order. But he was lying. We specifically told him the sq ft number.
Remember to have your installer verify the tile quantity before you place the order!

Ben is excellent. I was unable to leave work one day to pick up extra materials for my kitchen project. The person working on my kitchen offered to pick it up at the store. So I spoke with Ben and he took the order over the phone and was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you, Ben and Tile Shop!

This store is amazing. My husband and I are redoing our bathroom and the Tile Shop has made it so easy. We’ve worked with three salespeople and all three have individually been extremely helpful. We’ve received very high quality quality tile and flooring for great prices. They helped us decide what’s going to look good together and had great advice. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat.

If you are renovating or building, I encourage you to stop in and meet Ben. He’s not only great at his job, he’s a genuinely nice guy. The master bath plan for our reno changed three times and each time we walked in the store to meet with him, he greeted us with a smile on his face and made whatever changes were necessary. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of service he provided.
We originally met Ben at the Tile Shop in Springfield. Soon after, he was sent to Tyson’s as their store manager. The company picked the right guy for the job!

I do not leave reviews generally but this store has been beyond my expectations and I felt compelled to comment when I saw bad reviews. I ordered tiles for two bathroom remodels and also for 3 friends. All in all, close to $ 7,000 worth of tile in a span of 6 months. In the course of those orders, I had to repeatedly deal with staff at the Tile Shop and found them to be accommodating and professional. The store has recently experienced a change in management, and the new manager, Ben Nelms, does a great service to this store and the Tile Shop chain in general. There was an issue with an order that was placed prior to his arrival at this location that involved shipping tile to California, and he took care of it expeditiously with utmost professionalism and excellent customer service. All in all, I would order from this location over and again: not only do they have a great selection of tile, but the customer service has been beyond my expectations. By comparison, I have also shopped at Porcelanosa and the Mosaic Tile, and found the Tile Shop to offer better prices and no snootiness.

I’m a month into a bathroom renovation with an unscrupulous contractor. at the last minute, without warning and despite several conversations about NO BROWN TILE, he shows up with brown Mediterranean tile to go with gray contemporary that we are working with. I put the brakes on and spend an entire Saturday driving around the DMV, trying to find a non-​home dep0t place that stocks tile and not just order. I needed it that day. I finally found these guys. Matt greeted me with a smile. I held up my tile sample and said «HELP!» He stayed with me for at least 2 hours, showing me every variety, size and combo to go with my sample. He stood by while I called, texted, emailed photos to and argued on the phone with my unscrupulous contractor. He was nothing but kind, patient, creative and professional the entire time. Other team members, Andy and another tall guy with dark hair also stopped by and pitched in as necessary. When they didn’t have enough of the tile I wanted, they called all other nearby stores until we had what I needed. If I had this to do over, I would have gone to them FIRST. I would have had them help me design what I wanted and I would have used their recommended professionals to do the job. And I probably would have been in my new bathroom weeks ago. Thanks again!

We had a terrible experience with the tile shop. We picked out tile in early march and we were provided a specific date to pick up our tile in mid April (which fit our construction timeline.). We called the week we were supposed to pick up and they told us it would be a month more. We were never called to warn us of the delay.
The amazing part is we worked with the store manager. When we called to discuss our situation, he blamed it on the person who types the order into their system. So unprofessional. No accountability or customer service.
The only reason I am not giving them a 1 is they so have a good selection. I am probably being too nice. I have never once given a rating or review this low.

This store is a difference maker when it comes to choosing the final look of a tile project. The display areas in the store were the big benefit for us with a bathroom project we recently undertook. The Sales guy that worked with us throughout the process was helpful and considerate. I did need to go back and add an item I determined they overlooked. On the other hand, they gladly allowed me to return the tile & supplies we did not use.

I had a very pleasant experience with both the manager and assistant manager. I saw the 4^th of July sale but was going to be out of town, so when I spoke to the manager on the phone, he was amiable to extending the sale until I returned.
When I finally came in to look at tile, the assistant manager was a great help — providing opinions on what would work best with my granite countertops. I did have to wait to meet with him, but I can’t place any blame on him — he was literally sweating from running around for the prior customer.
They have 15 – 20 sample kitchens and bathrooms, which were extremely helpful in visualizing what the tiles would look like on the wall, and I left very happy with the Tile Shop.
