Fantastic service, friendly knowledgeable staff, top notch products. Some things just shouldn’t be purchased in the big box stores; vacuums are one example. Red Vacuum is a local business deserving of patronage. They will advise, sell, and then service your vacuuming needs for the long haul. A few minutes out from DC, but worth the trip.

This is the best place to buy or get your vacuum fixed… Super knowledgable … Not pushy… Have the part to fix your vacuum in stock… Really know vacuums inside and out…

The belt broke on my Riccar vacuum. I called and confirmed that they had a replacement on hand.
I had planned to install the new belt myself but they offered to do that if I brought the vacuum in to the store. They saw me park in front of the store and came out to meet me and carried the machine into their store. Once inside, the guy inserted a new belt right on the spot. He carried it back out and put it back into my car.
Belt was $ 7 and I tipped the guy $ 10 for his service and courtesy. I could have done this myself as Riccar is probably the simplest for assembly — basically unscrew the plate cover and pull out the the brush bar. But it was nice to watch him do it in good lighting.
I would go back. He showed me some of the newer light weight models. I would probably buy from them.

I just purchased an upright and a portable Riccar vacuum from this wonderful, small business. I brought my Kenmore in for repair and the motor was gone… needless to say, it was not worth fixing. I researched vacuums on line, checked all the websites for the best prices, and Red vacuums beat them all. Not only that, but the owner was extremely professional, did not push the most expensive vacuum, and listened to my needs.
I am so pleased to have given my business to a small, local shop. On top of all that, the Riccar product is made in America!
