Worst outback that I’ve been to. Bathrooms are horrible. The staff was the only bright spot.

My fiancé and I have been very dissatisfied the last few times we have visited. The service wasn’t that great, the servers are too busy chatting to wait on you, and the food has been gross. I used to love it here.

Terrible service and they were not that busy. Had to ask for plates and when we got them they were dirty. Waitress was MIA most of the time. Not a pleasant experience this time.

Our waiter was all about us. We wanted mushrooms for appetizers and he made it happen! Suggested clam chowder which was better than seafood restaurants! If you go to this Outback we hope you are lucky enough to get Andrew S. as a waiter!

Sometimes you’ve just got an Outback Steakhouse gift card that has to be used up(also, it makes for a great excuse to get a fried onion). The Blooming Onion is one of those things that they do well(though I felt a little sticker shock at the $ 10 price tag… but hey, gift card). I had the fish taco lunch special, and the tilapia was really good — well seasoned and not overdone. The taco shells were not great — sort of that awkward stage between crispy and soft. The veggies were a blah mixture of uncooked cabbage, red cabbage, and carrots. Not a terribly exciting place to visit, but the fish in the fish taco was outstanding.

My husband and I ate here last night, and we had a pretty good experience. Our waiter was very attentive and personable, and my husband was very pleased with his steak. I started my meal with a wonderful bowl of french onion soup, which was just perfect. For my entrée, I had the chicken and ribs, which were less than perfect.(The chicken was way too salty, and the ribs were just blah.) Still, all in all, it was a good experience, and I would much rather go here than some of the other chain restaurants in the area.

I usually don’t complain whenever I go out to eat but this experience was horrible. I easily waited an hour before I had gotten my entrée. I ordered the outback special & snow crab and was not satisfied. Literally every piece of steak that I had cut, had fat in it. The crab legs looked and tasted like they had been left in the back of the freezer for the last three weeks. We sat and waited forever to get our check to top off this outing. Not a place I’d enjoy coming back to.

The most exspensive and by chance, worse food I ever had in Pakersburg… and that is really saying something. The employees were wonderful but the food was simply dreadful. The ribeye steak was so tough it was inedible, even worse than the one I had at Logans. The bloomin’ onion was burnt and served cold and just plain awful I was really dissapointed after waiting so long to try it:(

Outback Steakhouse is what it is. It’s part of a massive, highly successful chain, and should not be downgraded merely for not being an independent restaurant. That being said, Outback in Parkersburg is generally very good. It’s a fun place with good service. It’s pretty much all you would expect and hope for from the chain, and tons of people walk away satisfied, day after day and year after year. It’s not The Four Seasons in New York, Cochon in New Orleans, or Château Marmont in Los Angeles. It’s Outback in Parkersburg, WV. And if that’s what you’re looking for, I think you’ll be satisfied.

I’ll never understand why people always throw out any great comments about a chain restaurant. Luckily I moved away from Vienna and live in Morgantown where there are TONS of great food options that rival much bigger cities. When Outback is just about the only real steak house in town, you might as well go to McDonald’s or Wendy’s. You’d be hard-pressed to find anything worthwhile on the menu at any Outback.

I’m in Day 2 of my business trip and another chain restaurant. My hosts took me to lunch here yesterday. A couple of them are regulars, as they were complaining about the steak that had here the last time. The waiter and the kitchen were responsive, as afterwards both proclaimed that it was one of the best steaks that they had ever had. I’m not a huge fan of Outback. However, in terms of food and service it was certainly better than yesterday’s Applebee’s experience. I picked at the Blooming Onion and Cheese Fries appetizers, enjoyed my wedge salad with blue cheese and thought that my quesadilla was just OK. I’m also sure that I heard my arteries screaming. The other thing to consider is that business lunches are often less about the food and more about relationship building, exchanging information, and explaining more clearly why a visitor made this long trip and thinks his work is important and useful.
