C. Diddy’s Crawfish Shack

So far I’ve been here three times with friends and all three times we’ve had great crawfish! Sucks that other people seemed to have not had good times here.
The first visit the crawfish were pretty small, I can blame that on the season.. . the weather this Spring has NOT been ideal for Crawfish season. The second and third time the crawfish were much bigger and better.
I have always gotten the spiciest crawfish and it has been just right, I usually ask for a side of seasoning to dip them in just in case, but haven’t needed it. I’ve had crawfish at a lot of places from here to New Orleans and even in Florida and the batches I’ve gotten here are pretty similar to other establishments.
The prices vary, again it being a not so ideal season, they have been higher than some other places around the area but not enough to change my decision on going as I live 5 minutes from the business.
The dining area is always clean, and the staff has been friendly.. the music can be a bit loud sometimes when there’s not a lot of people in the dining area but that’s really not a big deal.
I can’t speak for the «To Go» orders as we have always eaten in the dining room.

Well disappointed again, I asked what size the crawfish were and was told they were good size. Not they were small, so good luck. I’m done

First visit was great – crawfish were good. Second visit sucked. Portion was rather skimpy. But worse when I popped open a couple they were greenish inside. Never seen that before anywhere. I was very disappointed. They said «we are new please be patient.» Well I believe that if they are going to be a food place, they should be at the top of their game or just forget opening. No excuse.

Very upset. I’ll start with the good. The crawfish were a good size, that’s the end of good. Now for the bad. They ask if you would like mild, hot or spicy. My husband specified spicy… they were bland. We were able to eat them without ever taking a drink. If you eat crawfish you know this is not good.
We paid for 5 lbs @ 6.95lb. And I didn’t mind the price. What I did get upset about was that we only received 3# and that included our corn and Potatoe in the weight.
We got our order to go… so as soon as I saw the small bag I knew it was wrong. My husband insisted that it had to be correct because they weighed it. So when I got home I weighed it. Only to find not to my surprise that it was 2# short of what we paid for.
They were mushy, bland and dirty.
We are from Louisiana so crawfish is something we eat a lot of. We will not be retruning. And if you truly like crawfish you will be upset with the taste.
