Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

I’m definitely not a BBQ expert, but I know one thing… I went into this place hungry and left full and satisfied. Got the turkey breast with a side of mac and cheese and creamy spinach. Meat was well cooked and tasted amazing as well as the sides. I can’t comment on the bread roll since I didnt touch it (diet life), but all in all i will be coming back for sure!

I’ve had a hankerin’ for Dickey’s since I first tried it a few months ago when the Fontana location catered to us at my employer’s Christmas party. I remembered that there was one up here so I decided to take the wife out for lunch.
When we walked in there was no line, and a friendly voice welcomed us. The same person taking my order was carving the brisket for our sandwiches right before our eyes. I used to be a manager in food service before, so to see that they have nothing to hide from their customers made me feel at ease. We added Mac n cheese, BBQ beans, and waffle fries to our order, two drinks and our total was just over $ 20 which is reasonable considering you can smell the wood they use to smoke their meats. That’s when you know it’s real barbeque. They even have 3 different BBQ sauces on a warmer to satisfy anyone’s taste: original, spicy, and sweet. Also have free soft serve, but the machine was not working, boo!!! The dining area has about 12 tables that seat 4 people each and high chairs are available for the tots. My wife loved it and overall we were very satisfied to be leaving borderline comatose lol. Will definitely be coming back soon.

This place is real good but you have to go earlier in the day around noon-​3pm. If you go after those hours seems like the food has been sitting around too long. the onion Tanglers are the best. Thought i wasn’t going to see another dickies when i moved back from texas but to my surprise they are all around california now.

We don’t have many choices in the high desert area for good Bbq, so when I get that craving… Lol, once a week. I go to Dicky’s!!! The staff is friendly, food is delicious and the place is clean!!! Now let’s get back to the BBQ. When you get in line you first pick your meats. My favorites is the chopped brisket, not sliced, and pulled pork. I have tried all their meats and it’s all delicious! So just pick what your craving. Your next pick is your sides, I always go for fried seasoned Okra and Mac n cheese. They did add creamed spinach to the menu, but it’s more like soup. Still taste good, I wanted more spinach. All sides are very tasty.
After dinner don’t forget to serve yourself– soft served ice cream cone to go!!!
For a fast food BBQ joint, this is my go to place!

I tried to place an online order through the Dickey’s website but it would not connect, so I called the store to place my order by phone. I was told they do not take phone orders even though I offered to pay in advance with my CC. I told the young lady that I tried to place my order online and that the my order would not connect to the server. She told me that the Manager had turned off the online order server. I asked to speak to the Manager and first I was told they were too busy then 5 seconds later the story changed to the Manager was not there. All of this run around was presented with a nasty attitude like I was bothering them instead of being treated like a potential customer would was just trying to place an order through the methods THEY offer.
I don’t think I’ll be trying this store again!!!

Ok. I gave one star because at least the pork was good. I have never in my life had the worse customer service anywhere. For one what bbq place doesn’t have ribs available? Um really. I am sorry but the horrible girl that works there needs a job where she doesn’t deal with the public. And to open late and not apologize, wow! Maybe hire a new staff and I might be back.

The big bbq sandwich was good. They have different BBQ sauces to try and free soft serve. Definitely a treat

Everything was very good. Ice cream machine was out of order. So that was a bummer. The pulled pork was my favorite. I would get that again.

Disappointed… is an understatement. This place smells good outside, but i wasnt impressed about anything from the inside. It took awhile for our order to get taken. Then i told the guy the side i wanted and he kept trying to get me something else. We get to the reg. And i had to ask the girl to get my side because the guy didnt. Expensive for what you get. The meat was bland and the brisket had alot of fat on it. The sides were mediocre. The only saving grace was their bbq sauce. Thats it. Wouldnt come again. Crappy california bbq–

The best and only choice for BBQ in the Victor Valley. Staff was friendly and good amount of food for your buck. Awesome bonus free soft serve after your meal.

I ate here today for the first time and I was surprised how good the food was! I tried the pulled pork plate with green beans (with bacon!) and jalapeño beans and it was soooooo good! The food was hot, flavorful, and the meat portion was huge! Even the kids meal was yummy! My son loved his turkey sandwich and cheesy Mac & cheese. My boyfriend ordered the beef brisket and chicken plate and he said the meat tasted insanely good. I tried his potato salad and that was the only thing I didn’t care for but I’m used to my homemade potato salad. The workers were super polite and the restaurant was nice and clean.
We will be going back for sure!

So delicious! One thing I miss about going to Texas is their endless barbecue pit stops. Finally a good bbq joint that offers excellent barbecue and sides. My favorite is the sausage and brisket. Another great ending is their included soft serve ice cream which is a huge hit for the little ones. All and all its taste great, good size portions and great extras. Also good service and good dining atmosphere.

My husband and I have frequented this location because it’s near our home. So we were ecstatic to see a temporary promotion coming to our local Dickey’s…this promo is for $ 1 pulled pork sliders. From December 26^th through February 29^th the flyer «says…»
We drove over to the restaurant only be denied of this deal. The associate behind the counter said that the deal «didnt last long» and their manager is refusing this price …
I’m not into false advertising, I’m very disappointed and I’m making sure I tell all my family and friends about this.
…we have received more than one of these promotions, telling us to visit this specific address, yet they don’t honor it???
I wish you would Pull these fliers if your stores can pick and choose which deals they honor… it’s the only dickeys for thirty miles, can’t you send these to zip codes that are actually honoring your advertisement?

Food was pretty good but on the small size of portions so don’t come too hungry but other than that great flavor. Staff isn’t very friendly just like whatever… but like I said pretty good bbq. Try it for yourself

I’m new to the H.D. so I m glad to have found this BBQ place! I love it never eaten inside usually my boyfriend and I do an online order for pickup and eat at home! But we are addicted to the potato casserole! Drooling can’t wait to eat and their meats are purddy darn tasty as well! Haha tah-​tah for now about to dig into these crisscut fries! Nom nom

For a food chain restaurant, it was not that bad. Clean environment and great food. Price was a little more than expected but not that bad. I would suggest they consider their entrance/​exit current set-​up. Seems like it confuses customers (e.g., customers try to come in via the exit door, which does not allow entrance).
Other than that.

I usually Dont like BBQ but my boyfriend took me here and its bomb good food, free ice cream cones for the kids and good customer service

I’ve tried the Dickeys in Fontana and was really disappointed. The food lacked flavor and looked a bit sad and lackluster. My husband and I usually go to Lucille’s BBQ in Rancho, but since we were extremely tired from work and didn’t want to deal with traffic we decided to try this Dickey’s. Our expectations weren’t high after our experience with the Fontana location.
We loved this Dickeys! The food, the employees, the ambiance was all really great. The employees greeted us warmly and provided excellent customer service.
The food tasted amazing! I had the Tuesday Rib special, three ribs, two sides. I was apprehensive because I thought it would not be enough but I was full after two ribs and the sides. My husband ate the last rib. He has the three meat special with two sides: chicken, brisket and turkey. He loved it. After our meal we were super ecstatic because we wouldn’t have to travel down the hill for good BBQ. We will definitely come back.
And OMG, they have the crushed ice! Who doesn’t love that?

Very good BBQ. More bang for your buck than other fast food. They are very friendly.
I recommend this place for a tasty lunch or dinner. I’ve tried just about everything once and have not been disappointed. Besides you get a free small cone for dessert.
