This review is for waxing. I’m torn what to say. The plus: the wax they use is literally magic. It didn’t hurt ATALL. I’ve had brazilians done all over, and pain-wise this was the best experience. Mindy also did a very good job of making a really not good situation it as pleasant as possible. The downside: It was a $ 55 treatment that took less than 20 minutes including getting set up in the room. I was only actively getting waxed for 10 – 12 minutes. I was quite disappointed when I got home to realize the job was not fully completed. Not all areas were addressed and that really defeats the point of getting Brazilian waxing done in the first place, obviously. No other customers there at the salon either before or after me. There was certainly plenty of time to do a thorough job, so why was it rushed and haphazard? Also I’m a very easy client, it was an easy job and not much to remove. It should have been a breeze to get it all off. Disappointed with the results. I don’t have the luxury of going to spas all the time and I’m sad that I spent all that money on an Incomplete procedure.

I had a gift certificate to the salon which I chose to use towards a manicure and pedicure. I won’t be switching nail salons to come here again. From the moment I called to schedule an appointment I was off-put by the experience. The gentleman answering the phone was abbreviated, rude and seemingly annoyed that I was calling. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was seen quickly and on time which was encouraging, but the woman taking care of my nails seemed to have a similar negative attitude towards being there. Aside from the lack of overall friendliness, I am concerned with the competency of the staff and cleanliness of the facility. I asked for a gel pedicure and was told that polish would be fine(and then was met with a sigh when I messed up the polish within 5 minutes of her finishing — typical me!). I was grossed out that she refilled the water basin and just threw in a sanitizing tab for the next person — the soaking tub was visible dirty and I don’t think it had been throughly cleaned in a while. Both the pedicure and manicure were painful at points and were poorly done. The color looked nothing like the gel sample I selected and when I asked about it she said«well that’s what you picked». Sadly, I have had worse pedicures and manicures in the past, but this was a disappointing experience since the place had been recommended to me. Perhaps it was just the individual I was working with, but for $ 100, I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

Review for hair styling only! No experience with their coloring, cutting, or other salon services. Hate to give such a low review but my experience here was terrible. The place itself is beautiful, it is decorated nicely, the chairs are very comfortable, and the stylist stations are spaced apart well. I went here with a group of people all getting hair done for an event. The stylists in general were nice, but one employee talked to us rudely about the appointments(apparently before really looking at the schedule). She should have checked first or at least talked nicely about it with us. It was really awkward because she was almost chastising us about other people’s later appointments but we had to stay since we were there in prep for an event. All in all, the real problem was the quality of the updos. They were just not good and definitely not worth the price. My hair looked awful, we tried to fix it later but could not because of the massive amount of hairspray. I received multiple comments at the event that my hair did not look good and it was a very simple type of hairdo, I should have done it myself at home but I thought it would be better to get it done«professionally.» Other people tried to fix theirs also but did not want to make it worse and gave up. Being completely honest, one person’s hair actually looked great and she was very happy with it but out of a large group that is bad odds. Would never go back here.

I visited this salon a few times. I got all over color and when it washes out after a couple of weeks I addressed it. I was not looking for a free redo but some understanding and some kind of compensation after spending almost $ 200 would have been considerate. I was asked if I used shampoo and products that I bought from the salon and that w/out knowing what I did to «wash it out» they could not guarantee it. Yes. That is all I got along w/a glass of wine to drown my frusteration. This salon is over priced and lacking customer service.

My husband gave me a Christmas gift of their laser hair removal through Groupon or Living Social, etc. for 6 sessions. It was a total waste. I did not notice any difference. I kept mentioning this during my sessions. She eventually just said«It’s not supposed to remove the hair.» That’s fine but it did not even lessen the amount of hair. It was a waste of time and money. I’m debating about trying a new place to see if it really was just her and her tools. In my opinion, if you do not notice a difference and have not been properly consulted about results then she should continue the process until you receive SOME sort of results. Totally bummed. Also…have you noticed they have this special at least once every month on some discount website? Clearly she can not hold down any clients or she would not need this constant discount.

In all honesty, I’m probably not the best person to write a review at the moment. I just got out of my «correcting» appointment from Beau Monde. Which actually means this was my second visit. I decided to go to Beau Monde Salon & Spa just over a year after my horrifying experience at Scott Miller. Yes, it took me a year to let anyone even come close to coloring my hair. I went in looking like a wildwoman, unkempt and frazzled. I had pictures of how I wanted my hair dyed. I even made an appointment with one of the higher-up stylists. I was confident that this would be different, I would leave feeling gorgeous. My hair is now at least 4 inches shorter. Which would be okay, but the girl said she’d only need to take about 2 off. My hair was at my hipbones. I loved my long hair. I made that quite clear. Not only that, but one side was glaringly longer than the other. Additionally, I shouldn’t have bothered showing the girl what I wanted color-wise, because she didn’t do anything like the pictures. Next time I go somewhere I might as well just tell the stylist to do whatever the hell they want, because I could end up with something I like. Don’t get me wrong, the color was skillfully done, but it isn’t even close to what I wanted. Then I made an appointment to get it fixed, with a new stylist. The girl barely did anything color-wise. In fact, she said to get my color the way I wanted, it would cost more than $ 200 extra. She did, however, clean up the garbage layers the first girl did. I was nearly in tears when I left today. I don’t know what the hell I have to do to get the color-job I want. I don’t. Pictures sure as hell don’t work. Not only that, but I paid over $ 200 for something that I didn’t effing ask for, and they won’t own up and fix it. I don’t want anyone to think the people at Beau Monde are mean, because they are really nice. The girl that«fixed» my hair today was really sweet. The girl that maimed my hair the first time was nice. But when push comes to shove, I paid a ton of money for something I didn’t get. ALSO — Something I thought was interesting: When you set an appointment with this place, they send you an email to remind you about your appointment. They do this exactly 48 hrs before your appointment. The email says that if you cancel your appointment within 48 hrs, they will charge your CC on file 50% of the service. Neat!
