I know how bad Chinese food CAN be. But if I’m paying 14 dollars for something that 3 people won’t eat after the 3rd bite, I’m suprised they stay open. I brought my food back to tell them I wouldn’t feed it to my cat, and they laughed… so I left it on their front door. If anyone needs free food tonight, it’s there on the street. I’m sure it still be there. Rats don’t eat that.

this is the only place that we will order food from. its so fresh and healthy. Nothing from a can so you wont see water chestnuts and baby carrots… its the real deal and worth the money you spend on it. If you do not like something, talk to them. they will work it out. im sure of it!

If I could give –5 star I would. This is the worst Chinese food I have lived in NJ I had shrimp and broc it had no taste. The shrimp was not fresh and I’m being nice by saying that The rice was beyond greasy My daughter had a shrimp lo mein she had to chuck it. They should be ashamed to put the word health on their stationary. NASTY!!!

I never knew«Healthy Food» meant tasteless food. «Pass the, sirachi, sesame oil… I’ll even take ketchup… just put some flavor in this soup please’.

I really love this place. The food is excellent and the service is friendly, but there are a few weird things I don’t understand. First of all, adding basil to your Chinese dishes does not make it Thai. Skip the Thai items on the menu. I often get their lunch special, which is soup or soda, and an entrée and your choice of brown rice, white rice, or fried rice. What I don’t understand is that on their take out menu in the restaurant, it says that lunch specials are the same price dine in or take out, but online and the permanent menu they give in the restaurant says that dine in is a dollar more for lunch. I have no idea why they would charge you more to sit inside to eat. Also, the lunch menu online and the takeout menu differs from what you get if you actually eat there. They lose a star for their version of Thai and the inconsistencies with the lunch menu. The food is always delicious, and the portions very large for dinner. I have to admit that I’m a spoiled American and have gotten used to huge lunch portions in Chinese restaurants, but they don’t offer that here. It is still enough, and the price is good, so I don’t think that’s a valid complaint. I was told that they try to get as much fresh food at the local Asian market as possible and it shows.

I love this place! Not the usual cheap and gooey sauce gooped stuff that you find in most Chinese Food spots in Essex County. The food is seasoned well but not overpowering. The General Tso’s chicken had a light sauce and was all white meat… not gooey and mostly skin. Even something as simple as fried rice was done well. It is a bit more expensive than most other Chinese takeout places but it s well worth it. This will be my new go to place.

My friend took me to dinner here with her family a while ago and we continue to eat here whenever we start craving a Healthy Food fix. Healthy Food is a quaint, little Chinese restaurant in Verona, where you can do dine-in, take-out, or order delivery. All options are great. The restaurant’s interior is very tranquil and the staff are welcoming and attentive. Take-out is quick, especially if you call it in ahead of time. Lastly, delivery is always on point — even during lunch time(note:delivery requires a $ 10 minimum). My friend and her family have some dietary restrictions(they need to keep their sodium and carbohydrate intake down). Healthy is a great option for similar type customers because all dishes are prepared with trans fat free and cholesterol free canola oil, without MSG, and fresh ingredients. Every thing on the menu is pretty legit. Our favorites are the salt and pepper shrimp and the flounder. I have a thing for the Maggi Chicken dish(it’s not for everybody, but it reminds me of food I ate when I was a kid). I highly recommend Healthy Food if you are in the area.

Worst pad Thai ever! No peanuts, No lime. Just awful! Trust me I’m not a picky person but this was the equivalent of ordering a cheeseburger and getting a pineapple. I called to complain and they said this is how they make it. Well I guess you just lost a customer. Take it off your menu unless you make it properly whats the point. I saw another Thai food complaint on Unilocal, wish i read this first.

Friendly service, excellent food! This place is a great addition to the community. Atmosphere is peaceful, quiet — a great spot for a nice, slow dinner. Servers and host were friendly and attentive. The sauces they make are especially delicious, the generous serving-sizes always result in leftovers to bring home — we have found ourselves visiting this restaurant multiple times in the past couple of months.

Recently becoming a huge fan of thai food, I saw they had a thai options on their menu. Disappointed to say the least. My spring roll was absolutely gross, my chicken pad thai was bland and the chicken was chewy. The vegetable dumplings were the only thing I was able to enjoy. If using only«healthy» foods means taste is sacrificed, give me unhealthy any day.

This restaurant opened in the same space as the recently closed Pahang. Great find! It’s mostly Chinese food with a few of the old dishes served by Pahang. We had cold noodles with sesame sauce which was better than the average gooey mess they usually serve you around here, Tangerine Beef, which was very well prepared, and Boneless Crispy Duck with Hoisin Sauce. The duck was coooked perfectly not overdone and the sauce and the vegetables were wonderful. The chef states that he useses only fresh ingredients no canned veggies and no MSG. While I understand why they picked the name«Healthy Foods» for thier restaurant they might do with another choice. From the name one cannot tell if this is a health food restaurant or a low end Chinese Takeout place. It is neither. This is high end Asian cooking. Try it!
