I like coming here during my lunch hour to use the computers in their lab. It can get crowded, but there are ample computers to use. There is a 30 minute limit for those who are working on non-law related matters(ie, patrons going to social network sites etc) but it’s not really enforced unless there are people waiting. The librarian staff are friendly and helpful. They are also very patient as I’ve noticed when a non-represented patron was being a total jerk stating that he was a college graduate and could have went to law school. The person helping her was still doing all she can to help him so I have to give her kudos for that.

Best quiet library in the area. When I need peace/quiet and no distractions while studying for the bar exam, I come here. Yeah, every once in a while there will be an attorney, paralegal or pro per making a little bit of noise, but it’s nothing compared to the teens running around, making out in corners, talking on cell phones, etc. that I’ve faced the last 2 times at the Camarillo Library. And it’s better than the winos and bums asking for money as you enter Ventura’s downtown library. The downside is the parking and inconsistent hours(sometimes).
