Fantastic as always, just live the staff– so helpful and kind. Christine was on staff today, very lovely woman. She is the pretty blond in the photo. I stopped in as usual for my favorite tea, chocolate and pasty/pies. It is always such a pleasure coming here, there is a certain vibe, a feeling of home. I truly love this shoppe.

Fantastic selection — absolute staple shop for me! Also come in knowing what I want and then find or kindly suggested some other Jems to try. Never have gone wrong!

The British flags drew us in. The store is small but fully stocked with everything you would want in a British import store. The owner is helpful and friendly. There are teacups, tea cozies, items bearing the images of the Queen, Wills & Kate, etc., Dr. Who merchandise, cute totes and t-shirts emblazoned with the British flag, every kind of tea and biscuit you could want, chocolates, candy, and frozen/fridge items like beef pasties and sodas. My favorite is the Violet Crumble candy bar.

A beautiful, quaint charming shop that leaves us missing the other side if the pond feel closer once again… And everyone else thankful for the little slice of England on this side.

Best selection of loose leaf tea in Ventura county! I have visited several other shops on Main St. and in Ventura County and found the prices to be much better here. Especially with her Darjeeling 2nd Flush. As far as the other things that may seem over priced, if you were to buy these unique UK specialty Items online you would pay through the nose in shipping charges. Go Here and save the shipping charge. everything from haggis to brown sauce, Jammy Dogers to tikka masala spice mixes, Doctor Who memorabilia and more. The shop owner is very helpful and polite.

I am an English girl that has just moved to SF. I came down to the Ventura area for a week or so and discovered this shop whilst driving past. Upon my entrance I found that the lady inside, presumably the store owner who is a fellow Brit, was actually rather cold and hostile towards me. She didn’t even smile or say hello upon entrance, and instead ignored me… She came across as really snotty and rather patronising too. ANYWAY. Food wise, they have absolutely everything a Brit could need. ITISHEAVEN. Cadbury’s, all kinds of tea, biscuits(hob nobs, digestives, EVERYTHING) WALKERSCRISPS(omg i’ve missed them so much), IRNBRU(for the Scots), so much marmite(woohoo!), ribena, heinz baked beans and various other things. The only problem was that everything in there is ridiculously overpriced — especially now that I have compared it to other store’s in this state where I can get home goodies. But in terms of selection, it was great. Would/will still go back(only for my dairy milk fix) and pay a ridiculous amount in doing so.

I love this store. Rosie is the finest. Lots of tea, chocolates and other goodies. The specials are to die fr(such as South African boerewors, bangers and the like). Highly recommended. Her events at Barrel 33 are the best.

A friendly and lovely store that really helped our British themed wedding with quaint items and ideas. It is also nice to be able to purchase some of our favorite British foods and candies locally!

This place could be cute and fun– I am a total Anglophile and since I cannot go to London as much as I want this could be the place to get great biscuits, teas, etc. HOWEVER– the lady who either owns or runs the shop was rude, followed me around the store, if I asked a question she gave me a rude, snotty answer, etc. I am a big spender so she lost a good customer just for having a major unwelcoming attitude and«chip» on her shoulder– not a crisp, haha. I have never been treated that badly in any place I ever shop. I’m not sure but I suspect it was because I had 2 Groupon coupons that I purchased which is how I found out about it in the first place, and she acted like I was getting free stuff or using food stamps AND would not let me use the coupon my husband bought even though he told me what to get and he was unable to get there at all because he works out of town so we were out a coupon because we did not want to go anywhere near that place. Very BAD experience, I wouldn’t recommend it at all. In this economy, you have to be nuts to treat your customers this way.

Went into this quaint store on a Sunday and had a wonderful experience. The owner was very helpful and suggested items based on conversation we had. Yet what I liked about her even more is that she wasn’t pushy. If you’re looking for London, you can find it here. Considering the smaller shoppe size she has everything from gifts to food. I was very pleased! We were there for about 30 min and could have stayed longer! Fun store! I highly recommend it! Nice constant flow of customers tells me I’m not the only one who enjoys this store! A must go!

Since Susan(the owner) took over the place a while ago, the inventory has improved big time! It’s a very interesting place. She’s real friendly and helpful, unlike the people at the Tudor House in Santa Monica(don’t get me started on them). I guess it’s a small town thing. Anyway, this store has all things British(duh) and some Australian and South African items, too. Gift items, candy, bacon, meat pies, sodas, cookies/biscuits, marmite, canned goods, a huge selection of tea, etc. Good stuff. Too bad we’ve moved too far to go often :-(Good place to shop for Christmas and for the anglophiles in your life. Parking is usually available in front or behind the library for free.

This is a wonderful British imports shop in downtown Ventura. The owner was very helpful and attentive. She imports specialty foods in from Britain like cheeses, sausages, canned drinks as well as my all time favorite Branston pickle! She’s also got a wonderful assortment of sweets, biscuits(Americans read this as ‘cookies’) and scone mixes. I saw a cute assortment of English knic knacs like teapots, magnets(«Mind the Gap») and other decidedly British paraphernalia. We need to support shops like this in our area so they can stick around and provide us with the lovely goodies from abroad. So… hurry and get your butt over there and keep the English goods flowing in Ventura.

We just stopped in on a visit to Ventura. We walked downtown and saw it. Large variety of items. You may not even need to go to London to get what you want. The owner was very helpful and had great suggestions. Being that I’m not British, I had no idea what some of the food items were. It’s a great place to be able to ‘explore’ without leaving. You can get feeling of British tastes and see what it’s like on the other side of the pond.
