Melea Salon

Allison at Melea Salon has been doing both my hair and my husband’s hair for years now. We both get our hair done every 4 – 6 weeks and Allison is always very accommodating with the time. The salon is very clean and the rest of the staff is always very friendly. There are refreshments available, which is a plus! Allison was also my stylist for my wedding, and I couldn’t be happier with her services. I will continue to use her for any major events I attend. Would definitely recommend Melea Salon and Allison for both women and men’s cuts!

I’ve been going to Eryn for a year now and I only wish I would’ve found her sooner. She has helped me get my hair so much healthier and longer than it was before I started seeing her.

My family and I have been going to Michelle for over 7 years. She did my hair in high school, changed my mom’s up when she needed a different style, and helped me go from blonde to brown and back to blonde more times than I can count. I can literally just say, «Run with it» and it will turn out wonderful. She did my wedding hair and makeup, my bridesmaid’s hair, and my daughter’s first haircut. When I moved in the OC, I would wait until I was back in Ventura again to get my hair done. I would recommend her to ANYONE. I also suggest Erin. Years ago, I was going through a difficult time and splurged to get my hair done last minute. After telling her my tale, she discounted my color and cut to half the regular price. It was one of the most memorable gestures anyone has ever done for me. It’s an amazing place with amazing women that do amazing hair. Thanks ladies!

I love this salon! I looked for almost a year for a good salon when I first moved to town. I can always get in for an appointment right away, they consistently do excellent work, and it is pretty fast which is great for me because I am an executive. I work with Nelly Ayala– she is amazing. Really wonderful person to talk to & truly talented hair stylist. Would highly recommend it.

Erin is really good with color. I started to turn more and more grey and was having trouble finding someone who could bring my hair back to my original color. I was either getting too much grey left in with uneven color or the completely wrong color. She really listened and also gave good advise. The texture of my hair is much better and the color could not be more right on, I get complements all the time.
Would not go to anyone else.

Rhonda is my hairdresser. It took me years to find someone who would listen and still had the skill to do the job. It you what the feminine, current, casual look with great color and highlights, she’s does it. I have seen some of the other’s work and it seems to be good too. I know they are always very clean, nice, and professional, but Rhonda is my gal!

On those rare occaisions I do get my hair cut (which is not as often as I should), I go to Erin, who’s been here for years.
She manages to remember how to restore my previous haircut, even when it’s degenerated into a big Grizzly Adams mess.

I’m sorry, Melea. this has been long in coming: as a cosmo, I’ve got to get you on this one. when I was a rockabilly teenager, I came in wanting pincurls permed into my hair… which, as you know, is fully possible. however, my hair had been processed– and I had disclosed that. Instead of advising against the service, I was given an old lady permset which promptly broke all my hair off.
In short: I didn’t get my pincurls, I was given a standard permset; I was given a service I should have been advised against considering the condition of my hair, and my hair was completely wrecked for more than a year afterward.
