Karma Lounge

I was surprised at how much fun I had at this place. I thought it would be just another local lounge to hang out with friends, but this place was hoppin’! Inside was a good sized bar. Hip hop music filling the room with a decent sized floor. Couches in the back and a good ratio of women to men. Outside they had the foam machine going with top 40 music. It was off the hook. I ran into many old friends and got soooo wasted! One of those nights you wish you had more of. Anyway, the people there were cool and the staff was great!

My friends from work asked me to come and check out Karma Lounge in Ventura last night and even though it was a bit of a drive for me from the SF Valley, their rave reviews convinced me to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! The club was hoppin’ by the time we got there and the sound system on the outdoor patio was slammin’!!! The headliner for the night was Steel Panther (they used to be called Metal Skool) and I was stoked to see them as there is usually a huge line and a packed house at the Key Club in Hollywood. Low cover of $ 10 (instead of the $ 20 in LA), strong drinks and some SERIOUS hotties in the crowd! Steel Panther was HILLARIOUS; sending up all the hair metal bands of the 80’s…very cool and very entertaining. We met a couple of guys from the band that’s opening NEXT Thursday called Heaven Below and they were really cool so we’re going back again NEXT Thursday!!!
