This place has the best al pastor I’ve had at ANY of the mexican places in Ventura. The family working here is awesome. The feller here has plans for expanding their front yard area but for now it looks a bit unfinished, but I assure you they are serving food and it is amazing.

Al pastor tacos are great! Meat is cooked/marinated to perfection. I will definitely be coming back and trying everything else.

Mom works the register, Grandma cooks, kids play in the parking lot or get sent to Red Barn ac cross the street for whatever they’re short on. We had: 1 sope — carne asada enchilada plate– verde chicken flauta plate– carnitas, adovada, and asada Oh sweet jeebus this place is good. The sope was the size of a dinner plate and HANDMADEFROMSCRATCH. There were little grandma finger prints on it. Totally loaded with everything. Fresh as you can imagine. Enchiladas were perfect. Shreddy, saucy, perfect. Flautas were lava hot, crunchy, and big. Meat: Asada was perfect. Cooked though, but not overcooked. Chicken(dark meat) was shreddy and flavorful. Adovada was smoky– not chewy, almost shreddy like carnitas. Carnitas had a lot of pork flavor, wasn’t dry, wasn’t greasy, just enough crispy bits. Beans and Rice: WHATTHEHELLDOTHEYPUTINTHERICE? It’s fantastic. Beans are bean-y and good. They have beer! and karaōke, apparently.

Basic, low-frill family restaurant. The food was fine; not great and not bad. The staff were very friendly but spoke little English. It’s in the neighborhood, so I will try it again.
