After hearing about Bunkers from various people I thought I’d give it a try. Ordered the fried mushrooms and Philly Cheese Steak. Both items were mediocre at best and nothing to rave about. Tasted like ordinary bar food.

What is there not to like about this place. 42 beers on tap, the most expensive item on the menu is 9.50 and the place has tvs and is a sports bar. So besides that it would still get 5 stars based solely on service, food and selection. The New York strip is flavorful, thicker than most establishments like this and the mashed potatoes are awesome with the cheese baked on top. All in all I wish there was a place like this in DC. Great place to eat, hang out and watch some sports.

Kind of sad I have to write this 1 star review… because I usually enjoy going to Bunkers. They have a great beer selection and really good wings. I went in for breakfast the other day. I was really looking forward to having a Bloody Mary and some bacon and waffles. Anyways after getting there and waiting about 15 minutes for a table and then waiting another 10 minutes to even see my server, she gets to our table and as I’m ordering my brunch she tells me they stop serving brunch at noon. It was 11:57. Wtf.

The menu is so extensive and affordable. Boneless wings(mild) r suppper yummy and tender. I think I’ve tried just about everything on the dinner menu and there’s something about the beef hot shot! Mmm it may be the pieces of roast beef in the gravy.

Great chicken chunks. Awesome beer. A great bar with a great atmosphere. Upwards of 40 beers on tap, always diverse and rotating. Yes, they have bud light if you want to take your mom or grandfather, because t also porters, IPAs, stouts and more. Also, a really kicking breakfast on the weekends. Fills up the place when they aren’t even serving beer(11 on sat, 12 on Sunday they start serving beer).

We live in Huber but still find ourselves at Bunkers probably once a week. Beer selection, dinner and breakfast are all top notch. Their flatbread pizzas are awesome and the corned-beef hash for breakfast is a must.

Small-ish hometown bar atmosphere with seating for all. Large selection of craft beers on draft and bottle beer kept on ice. Food is excellent and weighs heavily on «bar food.» Daily specials are more«homestyle» cooking comfort food. Soup specials also available daily.

Second time here so I suppose I owe them a review. Went with the mushroom Swiss burger no bun again. Great taste! Battered asparagus so good. House salad fresh. But to be charged extra for Bleu Cheese dressing? Sam Adams porter was excellent compliment and surprise as I didn’t know it existed. Mona, thanks for the insight into the front and back house of this restaurant.

Love the pretzel and cheese appetizer and the chicken chunks. So good and priced right. Also, there are many draft beer choices so you can’t go wrong. Many tvs make for a fun atmosphere also. Service is good.

Wife and kids went for lunch at 11:30am intending to eat lunch but they were only serving breakfast until 12pm. I’ll be back again to try lunch, but I’d also definitely return for breakfast. I got the Cajun skillet and my wife got a eggs and bacon meal with a half order of biscuits and gravy. Even though I typically don’t eat or like eggs, my meal was delicious. Cheesy, with peppers, Mexican sausage and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. Biscuits and gravy were very flavorful also.

We were in Dayton/Vandalia over the weekend and looking for something other than a franchise restaurant. Unilocal led us to Bunker’s and we were not disappointed. Our waitress recommended the asparagus fries for an appetizer and they were delish, as was my boyfriend’s angus burger and my walleye sandwich. Beer selection was over the top and the Tangerine Wheat from Lost Coast was a winner.

Great breakfast and dinner. Salads are yummy! Breakfast on Sat and Sun only and earlier the better… it gets busy around 930 – 10 am. Everything here is good! Patio out front too.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a sports bar an grill! I ordered the fish sandwich an when presented with my food I could smell that something was wrong! The sandwich was huge so I cut it in half an then I could definitely tell something was awry. I took one bite… Disgusting. Not wanting to upset the people I was with I took another bite! AWFUL then I had to bring it up. We continued to tell our server an then she told the manager an all they could do was take %25 off the bill! What kind of policy is that? I got a spoiled fish sandwich an still payed %75 of the bill! HORSESHIT! I WILLGOTOMYGRAVETELLINGPEOPLENOTTOEATHERE!

Had the Tilapia sandwich with fries. Good sandwich. The fries there are excellent. Friendly service. I have been there on NFL Sundays and they have every game on. Was there for a late lunch today and they were sanitizing the menus. Something you don’t think about.

One of the best beer selections in the area. With 40 beers on tap and a menu that changes so frequently that they put it up on video screens so they can switch without reprinting, it’s a very interesting environment. Very bright with dozens of TVs, this is quite obviously a sports bar. The food is quite good, and very reasonably priced. I’m not a fan of anyone using the term«kobe» to describe their burger, but it’s so common in the US these days that it’s mostly forgivable so long as they’re not trying to charge ridiculous prices. In this case it’s a very tasty burger on a ciabatta bun, with excellent fries for $ 10 that was served a little over rare, but still not a bad medium rare. Their wings sauces are made in house and bottled. The Firecracker being a Habanero Sweet BBQ that gives a very significant burn, but not to the point where it’s too uncomfortable. I’m looking forward to going back and trying the Spicy Garlic. The quesadillas were very tasty and a solid bar quesadilla. Let’s say that for Vandalia Ohio this food is great, this beer selection is excellent… oh and one more thing: The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and enjoyable. The bartender asked my name, remembered it, and always called me by name. It’s also open late and serves food late. For someone who works in the restaurant industry like me that’s a huge bonus. I don’t usually need a bar to get hammered in. I need somewhere for a beer and a buger when everywhere else has stopped serving. This place is perfect for that, and for casual food in the Vandalia area any other time as well.

It’s been a few months, but my crowd and I visited this bar on a random Sunday night and everything was perfect. No crowd. Awesome waitresses. Idk how much the booze was, I think I was being swooned over at the time. :) I can’t wait to go back and check out the patio!
