Pacific Midwifery Service

These ladies are awesome. They take as much time as needed in your appointments. During my delivery my midwife was invaluable offering advice as needed for positions etc to make my labor much easier. For my first child I used a Doctor, and found that my experience with the midwives was much more hands on. Much more relaxed, comfortable experience. They combine the ability to give birth in a hospital where you have the back up of a doctor in case any thing should go wrong, or require a c-​section, with their experience with the birthing process and water births. Also the price was a LOT less cheaper than using a doctor. The only negative is since they give you as much time as you need, sometimes that results in longer wait times for appointment.

I couldn’t imagine seeing any other OB-​GYN. I’ve seen Kathleen for the past 7 years since I was pregnant with my son. She’s fantastic and she doesn’t overlook a thing and makes you feel at ease asking the uncomfortable questions and has a very gentle touch

If you’re looking for someone who knows her business & can make you laugh during a delicate procedure, she’s your woman. Its very scary trying to find someone to have your prenatal care with and who will deliver your baby. I was put to ease immediately at Pacific Midwifery and felt confident before, during and after baby came thanks to them. I am pregnant with my second baby now and things are a little different– a couple new midwives and a new office but still exceptional service. I thoroughly ENJOY every appointment! They are very personable and genuine woman who TAKE THEIR TIME TO LISTEN and make you feel comfortable with with all the rapid changes happening in your life. I can’t imagine going through this experience without them.

You will not find a more committed, caring group of women anywhere! They delivered two of my three children and the care I received was awesome! If you are looking for a midwife who will work with you and let you listen to your own body, pacific midwifery is the place to go. And although I’m done having babies I continue to go to them for my yearly checkups because of they are wonderful! It’s obvious that everyone there loves what they do and it shows in the level of care you get when you walk in the door.

I visited The Legacy Midwifery Clinic on a meet-​and-​greet basis, to see if they would be the people that I’d feel comfortable with for my upcoming birth (which originally I had planned for Legacy Salmon Creek.)
I was made to wait more than 40 minutes past my appointment time, and the midwife I met with was surprised by my basic questions (percentage of transfer to general OB care, C-​Section Rates, feelings about doula’s in the room.)
I was generally uncomfortable, and felt that I was «wasting the time» of the midwife that was assigned to answer my questions.
Horrible patient care, and they lost my recommendation for anyone to go there in the future.
