This a cute little joint next to my house. I only popped in once, but the coffee was decent and they made a damn fine made-to-order breakfast sandwich. I hear that have an open-mic poetry night. If I went, this is the poem I would recite: I once found a café. It had coffee. It was close, as close as my ear hair. They gave me a little somethin’ somethin’. It had an egg on it. The coffee was a void. It peered at me, like two feline eyes It said, «drink me, baby.» «Drink me before I get cold.»

First, my complaint… the food needs to be improved immediately for this to even be a 3+ star place. A lot of reheated or basic food options since they don’t really have a kitchen. If you only come for coffee, wine, beer or wi-fi you’re all set. This large converted house is very relaxing with separate rooms and a wine bar/room(no laptops allowed in wine room). There is ample seating outside year-round with a gas fire pit. A very nice place to relax. The busy times for this place are actually opposite of any mainstream coffee joint. The staff has always been friendly and it seems like most of them have been there a while. With improved food this place could easily be a 4 – 5 star hangout!

Sitting in this awesome coffee/wine bar right now, on a rainy Monday morning. Christmas music is playing, and all of the dozen or so patrons seems to be in good cheer. This location is large enough to get lost in. It is impeccably clean, the staff are very kind, and it is very cozy. I ordered my equivalent to the ‘chef’s special’… Wherein I put the thumb screws to the Batista and have me make something they like. They chose dairy free semisweet chocolate cinnamon latte. Its quite good! In addition, I got a baked oatmeal. Vegan. Gluten free. Delicious. It came in a neat little pre-baked puck in a clean bowl. Served with a fork. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly so, it featured a few nuts and berries. Perfect breakfast food. The artwork on display is pretty amazing!

Cozy atmosphere. Good hang out place. Coffee is very weak and very concentrated taste. Roast beef panini was delicious. Chicken panini was bland and lacked flavor. Long waiting time for service. Four people behind us got served before us.

Located in a house. Nice layout. Cool place to sip your coffee and just chill out for a bit. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich with a small vanilla latte. That was probably one of the best latte that I’ve ever had! Delicious! I I knew that it was going to be that good, I would’ve gotten the large… They also have power strips so you can work on your laptop/charge phone.

I am so glad I found this cute coffee shop in downtown Vancouver! I went there yesterday in the early afternoon. Typically other coffee shops are noisy but it was quiet the whole time I was there which made it nice for conversation. It is a relaxing environment. I had a non fat latte that was delicious. Their menu looks great too! I will definitely be going back to try some food. They also have a happy hour menu that includes beer, wine and a few snacks. I was surprised and impressed at how much this little coffee shop has to offer!

I did not misinterpret your tone from trauma. It was hostile. On the other hand, your apology shows maturity and I appreciate and accept it. Anyone can have a bad day, and you responded nicely.

Came for breakfast, and just the walk in is awesome. They really did a wonderful job on decoration and furnishing the place; it’s very cozy and inviting. I had a «Monster Mash» latte; it was just perfectly sweet and didn’t overpower the coffee. I also had a sausage egg and cheese bagel. Again, delicious. Perfectly toasted cheddar bagel and sausage/egg just right. Will be coming back again, for sure.

This place is a great place to hang solo or with a group of friends. The outdoor seating is nice and open with covering, they also have indoor seating. Loved the food selections, drinks and the staff are the best. A place I will definitely come back to. Highly recommended for everyone to try it.

Thoroughly enjoy coming here! Always great service but it was exceptional today! Great latte, and some would say I’m a coffee snob! Just in awe with my brunch today.

The owner is great– very much part of his community. Outdoor seating with fire is a nice touch and an optional walk up window.

Great espresso and food! Especially the breakfast sandwiches At times, people tend to get very loud in here so not the best place to do any work without headphones. They also have a nice wine bar and great outdoor area. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!

Very cool place. They have seating both inside and out with a fire pit outside. The coffee art is exceptional and their Chocolate Mocha is a must try, beautifully done clearly showing the talent of their Barista. My wife and I had a breakfast bagel, which was very good and we’re excited to come back for some of their other great food. What a place… coffee in the AM and wine and beer in the PM. The place is very comfortable and service is excellent. My new favorite coffee shop!

Overly sweet and weakly brewed cups served in beautiful environs by sometimes surly(and always a new) barista. Wine, beautiful interior and exterior seating, and a walk-up window make up for the shortcomings. Be sure to try: Take your cup(or wine glass) to the outdoor spaces for a slower-paced sip. If you like your coffee confections stunningly sweet, you’re good here; otherwise ask for about ½ of the flavorings. Food is tasty(panini and quiche are delish) and wine offerings are diverse, balanced, affordable, and well-described. Beware: Tiny parking lot in back doesn’t accomodate many: opt for street parking despite the tempting«park in back» sign. Service can be slow. Both of these things considered, just plan for an extra 5 – 10 minutes if you’re getting something to go.

Checked out this neighborhood coffee place in daughter Cori’s new neighborhood – loved it. She had a tasty spinach quiche with a gorgeous flaky crust, and I had a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an «everything» bagel. Yum! Since it’s in an old house there are nooks and crannies with choices of café tables or comfy chairs, and our room held a bookcase full of board games. Cozy and warm on this rainy morning with personable staff, I’d be at Latte Da all the time if I lived here!

I feel compelled to write a review as I frequent this place 3 to 4 times a week. I about peed my pants when I first had a cherry white mocha during the Valentine’s holiday. Soo good but I’m a sucker for white mocha that is made from the powdered flavor and the powder is hard to find. YUM. They changed to a syrup soon after. It’s still good but not the same so I’m bummed about that but it makes sense as I think most people like the white chocolate syrup better(blends easier). I’ve had a few other drinks that were pretty good too but you have to make sure it isn’t made too sweet. Espresso is a little weak but nothing an extra shot won’t fix. So far I’ve loved all the food I have tried except the super dry cake. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review is that there seems to be super high turnover. There is always someone new being trained and honestly I think I’ve only seen one girl there more than just once. It’s usually just the owner and someone being trained. This leads to long waits and inconsistency. I’m patient though, and I understand(former barista). I just wonder why there are always new people. Seems like the owner tries his best to keep the pace up so customers aren’t waiting forever. LOVE the outdoor space and the walk up window for when I’m walking my dogs. I will be using the outdoor space for an affordable rehearsal dinner so I’m hoping that goes well. Great space for groups, studying, and just relaxing!

Came here today with my mom. We just moved down the street from PDX and we’re so happy to find a cute place to hang out. First and foremost, the service was great. Everybody was very friendly and informational. I got an iced Americano with vanilla and milk(the usual) and it was awesome. My mom and I opted to share a large order of biscuits and gravy for $ 6.75. It was the perfect size. Too much, even. But no less amazing! I overheard the barista say their Baker changes the recipe every week. So, there you have it. Homemade biscuits! They weren’t too hard or too soft. The sitting area itself is cute and cozy with plenty of tables and outlets for your laptop cord. Also, there is free WiFi(but of course you should not be a jerk and buy something!) I’m not sure about the wine bar thing, seems kinda uppity but worth checking out.

I live not too far from Latte Da. I call it Latte don’t. While I have never been there for their open mic or a special wine event this place has terrible customer service, the times I have been there, and their blended coffee comes out of a bag. And yes I have been there more than once, mostly because I kept wanting it to be good. It is the closest independent coffee house to my home and it is disappointing to be disappointed. Anyway, one of the main signs that led me to disliking is place is when I ordered a blended mocha which consisted of ice a little milk and some powder from a bag! Yes, powder. No actual coffee. It tasted awful. The other main reason I do not enjoy this establishment is because there is never anyone at the window. I will ring the bell… and then stand there for 5 minutes and no one shows up to take my order. That is why I do not like this place. PS– The food is okay… However does not taste fresh.

Sure you can come here for the community vibe, the ample spaces for a quiet cup of coffee, a meeting, a gathering, the cool outdoor spaces or a meal with friends or family but you’ll come back for the food. Four of us stopped by for a weekday lunch. The gal at the counter was helpful and double checked our order to make sure she had it right. Extra points for making sure she understand the hold the onions and mayo on certain sandwiches. The breakfast sandwiches are fabulous, as the local lore promised. The roast beef sammie was delicious on fresh bread while the soup of the day(creamy chicken with wild rice) was well-seasoned and on-point and a nice compliment to the ½ a veggies sandwich. Ask about the suspended coffee program. A feel-good program and a community service.
