I am very annoyed that Knit Picks has taken it upon themselves to incessantly clog up my mailbox with their catalogs. Interestingly, I am a knitter and was about to begin ordering from them when I learned that they love to kill trees in order to violate people’s mailboxes. I have repeatedly phoned them to kindly ask them to please stop sending these, they claim they will stop, but it is a LIE. Apparently Knit Picks doesn’t realize that they are losing customers who boycott companies that send hardcopy catalogs. In case Knit Picks chooses to do the right thing and remove me from their mailing list, the«customer» number is 648520 and the«source code» is C136100

2013⁄066 1st/014 This review is only for their online shopping. I understand that the address is only for their corporate headquarters(Crafts Americana), and that their distribution warehouse is elsewhere. So, I started knitting about a decade ago and then stopped within a year. I recently moved and needed a new outlet while I adjusted to my new state. So, I took up knitting, and joined a few knitting groups. I had been out of the knitting scene, so I did not know that Knitpicks was where many people bought their yarns and needles and accessories. I had my stash from 10 years ago to use, so I did not buy yarn here. However, I was in need of needles for an upcoming project. I was enticed by how their prices were a quarter of what I would have shelled out at my LYS. While I try to support local stores, I was in a financial bind. I did hear about the credit card scare that affected some members of my knitting group. While that would normally deter me, I figured that after a security breach would be a time that future purchases would be secure. I took a chance(and paid via PayPal), and am so glad I did. My products arrived quickly and intact. And the needles were wonderful. I wish I had bought from them before. I was also glad that part of my order was corrected. I had realized I had chosen the wrong color dye and called up Customer Service immediately to see if I could swap it out with another color. They said that they could only substitute the same item only, which is what I was doing. She was courteous and professional. I admit that I will still look at my future bank statements, but this is what I should be doing regularly, anyways.
