If you go after 7pm food is cold or lukewarm. Also they put up dirty rugs from the floor on the chairs and it touches the table, gross!

Liked the sushi selection, and the kiddo loved the whole thing. The only complaint I could make is that there was no melted butter for the crab, and how are you supposed to crack the crab if there are no scores in the shell and you don’t offer anything to crack it open with? I tried my fork but the tine just bent. Hmmmmmm

I went there for the second time with two of my boys, ages 10 and 13. They both love seafood and really enjoy this restaurant, as there is a great variety. I don’t care for any type of seafood, but found enough to eat in the traditional Chinese food. The food was all fresh and hot, and the wait staff was very attentive. The restaurant was clean but when my boys went to the restroom, they both came out disgusted! I did not personally inspect the men’s room, but they said the floors were too gross to walk on-they believed they were covered in urine. We were done with our meal at that time, and I regret that I didn’t mention it to the staff. The cost for three meals on a Saturday night(one being a child’s meal for my 10 year old) and two sodas was $ 47. If you can appreciate a great selection of seafood, I think this would be a fair price. For myself personally, I thought it was a little pricey. Overall our experience was good and maybe we will go back on tuesdays(when kids eat free) and avoid using the restroom.

I really like the sushi selection at this buffet and the lo mein is always good. The weekend price is fair for all the seafood variety that they have and they even have an ice cream machine. I suggest going on weekdays because they are very busy on the weekends. Waitresses are mostly pleasant.

I really didn’t like this place. The food wasn’t very good and me and my daughter were both sick the next day after eating here. The rest of the family didn’t get sick so I assume it was a result of bad sushi since we were the only two that ate it. I wouldn’t go here again.

I almost gave two stars only because the servers were nice and she gave me my money back. But if you are going to go for food, best stay away from this place. Worst food I think I’ve ever had. I would have been happier going to a McDonald’s, and I hate that place… But like I said, they were all really nice and I wasn’t required to pay anything because, well, I couldn’t stomach anything. They have good water.

Not so great. I love a good buffet, but this one seems to be the fast food of buffets. Lots of customers though.

I go here nearly every week making me a credible source. I wouldnt say they knock it out of the park every time and yes sometimes their food is dry/overheated yet they have very good seafood. It honestly just depends on the time. Their general tsos chicken and noodles are staples.

I find the reviews on here odd… I have been here twice, once 3 months ago and once least night. Both times they seated me immediately, the waitresses were friendly(for an Asian buffet), they refilled my water, cleared plates fast, the store is clean, the food was 99% fresh both times, ect. I have pretty high expectations for Asian buffets when it comes to food as long as the seafood is good, mostly because I’ve been to so many terrible Asian buffets in my lifetime. At this one they have good clams, great cold crab legs, awesome salt and pepper prawns, pretty good mussels, and octopuses that are not rubbery. For me, for a smaller selection Chinese buffet like this one, that makes it pretty damn good. The other foods not bad either, like the BBQ pork a lot, and the sushi is about to be expected for a buffet, nothing amazing, but it’s fresh and its decent, and they will customise a plate it for you, if you ask sometimes(I am not saying they do it all the time, i don’t know), which I think is awesome. For me, this makes it a great asian buffet, i wish it had a larger selection, that’s honestly my only complaint, however, being that they do what they do really well Maybe it’s for the best they limit. God Bless ~Amy

Tonight me and a couple of friends decided to go eat at this establishment!!! We hadn’t gone in a while so we expected a normal dinner but it was far from normal.!! Honestly it was the most horrible service experience ever! It started out fine we got seated and accommodated as best they could, the server an older lady was normal to begin with untill it came time to leave. We finished eating our average food, and we lost track of time talking. At first her comeing to check on us every 4min was fine but then it got disturbing, as if she was trying to get us to leave, and of course that she was. She kept urging us in the rudest way possible! ! Then she brings our checks and immediately tells us that we had to pay right away! That we couldn’t pay at the cash register! ! Tf? Is that she seriously though we were not going to pay! As if that where not insult enough! We all pay our dang tickets except for a couple who decided to use the restroom before we took off! Worst mistake ever as we are walking out the waitress runs out saying we had not paid for 2 of our guest! That she was going to call the police!!! What kind of service is that!!! Did she not notice they where still inside the dam restaurant apart from embarrassing it was rude and down right inappropriate!!! I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISRESTAURANTTOANYONE! WEAREDEEPLYDISSATISFIED. … THECOPSSERIOUSLY? WTF…

I’ve eaten here since around 2000. I would say it is a pretty good buffet. I’ve been here many times and every time the food is fresh and hot. If you are in the mood for sushi, I would suggest going somewhere else. It’s just the plain stuff and nothing special. My family visits from Louisiana sometimes and I take them here. They all enjoy it. The shrimp is by far the best thing. I’m not sure what it’s called but you have to shell them to eat them and they are covered in garlic and pepper. I’ve read other reviews and I have to say, we have never waited to be seated. They are quick and the servers are fast in clearing plates and filling drinks. Even since the change over from Kings Buffet to New Kings Buffet, I still like this place.

I have just recently moved back to the«Couv». .and Kings Buffet used to be my FAVORITE buffet… like seriously compared all others to this place. Of course now I’ve had some reallllllllly good Chinese buffets in San Diego as well and some realllllllly freakin horrible ones in Eugene OR … BUTBUTBUT… I had to go back last week cuz its been almost 6 yrs since I had eaten here and… SADLY it was CRAP. WTH happened to this place. WHY is the quality of the food gone down hill… seriously disappointed. REALLLLLY disappointed. Service is the same– most asians in the food service industry don’t make the most friendly waitress.(I’m asian and I’m a good waitress btw lol) But really the food is just MEH… we were there at about 5p and yea some of the food looked like leftovers from lunch like someone else said in their review(I was hoping it wasn’t true)… the salt pepper fried shrimp which was my fave wasn’t even crunchy like normal… everything was really mediocre. I even got the crab legs cuz nothing tasted great and THANKGOODNESS they were decent. All the meat slid right out after I cracked it open… I don’t think the awesome buffets in San Diego ruined me… I think it really has just gone down hill. I can honestly say I will not go back any time soon unless I just want to pig out on crab legs I guess… *sigh*

Worst buffet I’ve ever visited. First of all, do you seat yourself or wait? Bland, overlooked food and rude service. Disgusting bathrooms and cooks that glare when you are strolling the buffet and they are running astound. Went up to pay the check and got yelled at in some other language to move and sit to get out of the way, and she threw our card back at us and said SIGNFASTWEBUSY! No thanks. Waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and drive up the street to Makato.

If you are thinking about going here, one word of advice — — DON’T!!! The selection on the buffet was terrible. The fried rice was white, no trace of being«fried» with soy sauce, I love fried rice, but this wasn’t fried it was more sticky with a tiny tiny bit of egg in it. One of favorite things is Sweet and sour chicken or pork. I was shocked to not find any, when I asked the waitress, she had to ask the cashier who went to the kitchen, they were out of it, what chinese restaurant/buffet«runs out» of sweet and sour? Why not just make some more? She said that this happened the week before too. I ate mostly lettuce with dressing. Unless you have a filling you want pulled out, stay away from the honey chicken, it is very sticky and you can’t cut it with your fork – no knives were given, guess they were afraid someone might get stabbed, like the cooks!

Don’t. Just don’t. It’s too expensive for what it is. It needs to be updated and the food needs to seem fresher(even though they go through a lot… so I’m at a loss there). Good There are crab legs, but it’s hard to find the crackers… my hands smelled like that for two days. There is sushi if you don’t like the hot items or the weak salad items. Bad Otherwise, it’s a lot of money to spend when you can go to a small, real Asian restaurant somewhere else. Oh yeah, I say«Asian» because this is not Chinese. There’s also Korean, Japanese, American, Philipino and some other items that I know other ethnic groups would be enraged if they knew that they were being tagged with. Don’t get me started on how much the staff are robots. Never looking you in the eye(probably because they’re ashamed of their restrooms, the dusty plastic plants, and the shameful rainbow lights from a mid-90’s Starbucks trash bin.) Seriously, the place seemed so dusty and dirty and run down. I was waiting for the vent to snow down on me. I’m still haunted by the host who didn’t seem to speak any English and never looked up from her Chinese language iPhone to greet me. Seriously, at least use the universal language of smiling and… oh, maybe… looking at someone? This could be awesome, but it’s not. My only consolation is that I know they go through a lot, so stuff doesn’t have enough time to spoil. However, I still didn’t feel right«down there» for about three days. So, bag it in and go somewhere else.
