Firehouse Glass

I came here when I first moved to Portland and was interested in learning how to do glass. The first class I took was awesome and sparked my curiosity and passion for glass. The first friday of each month, they offer glass blowing demonsrations. demonstrations on glass blowing.
Their mission is to «To provide an environment for furthering the community’s exposure to and education in glass art, and to provide a collaborative forum for artists working in the glass medium».
They offer private lessons in both the fusing and cold working shop, and bead working. They may even be able to repair some glass art. Spearking of art, local glass artists have worked with them including Doug Randall, Steve Klein, Jayne Persico, Carmen Vetter. I don’t want to list more, because, i will offend someone.
I definitely want to go back and take more classes, when i have a few more dollars in my pocket.
