I had Effective Web Solution build my website. I wanted a Word Press style website so I can make my own changes; well EWS decided that they would do half word press and half in code. I should of stopped then of this first red flag. Next December 2011 EWS changed web hosting and my website was left dead for a few days during December of course this is our busiest time of the year, no communications on what was going on. Then when brought back on line, all my images were gone, after emailing and calling got images back on my website after approx 2 months of my calls and emails. EWS sales manager called and informed me that my first year hosting was up and the new rate would be $ 50.00 a month, back early 2011 I was quoted $ 20.00 big difference so I bought hosting from elsewhere at $ 20.00 per month.
I tried several times to get the correct FTP address from EWS to change to new hosting, but the information was incorrect. Then I notice my website had been cancelled. I never received a bill, never received a phone call. I talked to the owner of EWS and told him that I needed my web back on
site asap, he said his personnel had tried to get hold of me numerous time, (I would like to see proof that they tried, phone call records, emails but I have not seen a thing)
I told the owner that I was going to go online and file a complaint with poor service and the owner said go ahead he will file complaints about my company (very professional as he has never been in my shop)
If you want poor service, go ahead and use EWS
