I used to buy from this place all the time. But in the last couple of years, the workers they hire hate life it seems and it show’s in their customer service. Loud hard rock music that not everyone listens to plays at the county building. And they don’t smile. The food is expensive as well. They lost a customer in me for sure.

$ 8.25 for a California club with a small chicken breast and 1 piece of bacon and ¼ avocado that wasn’t ripe. Chintzy.

DONOTEATHERE. I worked at this establishment for about a year and it is the most disgusting food I’ve ever touched in my life. Every Monday, the frozen meat and refrigerated vegetables are brought out from the previous week and are used throughout the week. Sometimes I would pull out deli meat that was dated 6 months back and was told to serve it to the customers because, «It was frozen and if you freeze things they last forever.» Even the eggs come in a mixture frozen in a bag. Seriously? And the coffee, the actual coffee itself isn’t bad but the products used to make the drinks are cheap. Everything is overpriced and underappreciated. Don’t waste your money.

(Note the other two reviews at the time of my post are rather dated…) I stopped by for a bite to eat last month on a Tuesday. Most of the lunch crowd had actually flocked to the popular Mighty Bowl food truck parked across the street. Rather than wait in a growing line with little time to spare, I decided to go to a spot I hadn’t been to before. The café has your typical wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and paninis. All sandwiches, burgers, paninis, and wraps come with choice of one side. Upgrade to soup or JoJos for $ 1 more. Soups are made from scratch daily. There will be a lunch special each day. All meals are affordable, with nothing over $ 9. Yay for keeping your wallet happy! I went with a Turkey Cran Wrap«Economy Cruncher» value combo($ 5.95 after tax). This combo consists of a half-wrap or sandwich from the case, a choice of side dish, and a drink(either a 20 oz. fountain drink or a bottle of water). I chose pasta salad for my side. Good turkey wrap here. This one had a wheat tortilla and contained oven-roasted turkey, cranberry cream cheese, and lettuce. Crisp lettuce. The cranberry cream cheese had a controlled sweetness. A nice take on a Thanksgiving-inspired wrap. FYI, for the economy cruncher deal, I only got a half-wrap. You can get a full wrap with side for $ 6.49. Very good pasta salad. Al dente pasta, with fresh raw diced vegetables and Italian dressing. I thought the briny olives and the bite of the bell peppers gave the salad some flavor character. According to their takeout menu, side dishes include pasta salad, potato salad, cottage cheese, green salad, chips, candy, or fruit. Never thought of putting candy in the side dish section, frankly… Friendly service on my visit. The lady taking my order also put in a great plug for the Reuben($ 7.95 full; $ 5.95 half) and the paninis($ 7.95 full; $ 5.95 half). Espresso counter is open from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The café counter opens from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. I’d love to return, but considering this place is only open when I usually have to work(Monday through Friday), I’m unsure when that next visit will be.

Had the.6.50 chicken bento, maybe there was a ¼ cup of rice. With it came rubber broccoli. It was horrible.

Where do I start? Service — They try to be friendly. For some it’s genuine, for others it’s forced. Can’t fault ‘em too much for that, as I’ve been there. I waited 15 – 20 minutes for a hamburger once, same amount of time for a sandwich once. Both occasions were during non-peak time & the place was deserted. Food — Everything I’ve had there, with the exception of their espresso(which is quite good) and a bagel, has been so bad I’ve eaten half of it and thrown or given the rest away. Burgers taste like grease, there is no way this is any kind of quality meat. Sandwich bread is lower end quality(also, what they call«sourdough» I call«potato bread»). Deli meat is the super cheap stuff. Cheese is ok but a bar lower would be scary. French dip was pretty terrible. How can you mess up french dip? Buy super cheap ingredients, I guess. Other nonsense — there are signs EVERYWHERE advertising their pizza. But they don’t serve pizza anymore. Not sure when they stopped… but the gazillion signs really makes this irritating. Prices — Way too high for what you get. $ 7(incl tax) for a full sized sandwich when it is zero level quality ingredients is insane. If not for their espresso I would give them one star.
