I needed a blizzard. It was a need, not a want. Unfortunately it wasn’t all that great. Also, they’re supposed to tip them over so we as patrons know the blizzard is proper. That wasn’t done either. The broad at the window wasn’t in the mood to assist customers either. I’ll be finding a new DQ!

On Saturday May 30th we went to this establishment for our usual treat, an Oreo Blizzard with double extra stuff and a hot Fudge Sundae with double hot fudge. At the time the place was busy. When we got our treats I asked are you sure these are mine, I ordered extra stuff in both. I was assured it was. When we got home and started eating I knew we had been given the wrong things. I called back and spoke to a very kind apologetic young lady. She asked if I could come back today or tomorrow and I said I’d be in on Sunday. She took my name and the item descriptions for what I ordered. She said just come in and we’ll make it again for you. WELL, I went in on Monday and explained that I’d been unable to come in on Sunday and wondered if the order could still be remade today. She said let me get my manager and off she went. A couple minutes later, a red faced rude woman came up front and started yelling that we don’t give away free food. My people are trained in that. I said your staff on Saturday never expressed this to me when I called. I was embarrassed because there were other customers in line and she was so rude and basically called me a liar. We assured her this had happened and she rude and ruder. We TRIED to suggest that not all her staff must be aware of her rules and that maybe she should reinforce them again with her staff because obviously someone didnt. She again yelled that she trained her staff and they know what to do. She turned and stormed off, she was so angry and hateful. Not the example for a manager or an owner. I don’t recommend this place because if there is something wrong and she is involved you are going to be degraded in front of many. I happily am taking my business to Cold Stone Creamery or Baskin Robbins.

Called 24 hours ago about a birthday cake. I was told 10″ would be around $ 35.00 and 8″ would be $ 28.00. I opted for the 8″ and went to pick it up today. The charge was $ 37.00! I argued that I should only be charged the quoted price but the person I was dealing with more or less said that’s the way it goes. Never again. Baskin Robins here I come!

Dairy Queen is a massive, MNC chain. Tell me something I don’t know, right? But most Dairy Queens are owned by a franchise owner with a few degrees of freedom in implementing sales, seasoning and cooking their products, store hours, etc. You know what you’re getting when you go to a Dairy Queens. Competitive on price, retro small-town-America atmosphere, a massive variety of delicious Blizzards, and mostly staffed by chatty teenagers. And, occasionally, really good food. This one doesn’t do anything WRONG, per se, it just doesn’t measure up compared to other DQs I’ve been to. –Food time is a bit slower than average. –Fries are underseasoned and, my last few visits, undercooked. –Burgers are underwhelming in taste. –Overall attention to detail – for example, if you’re going to have me wait for five minutes for my drive-thru order, probably don’t give me the sundae or blizzard at the very start. –Spotty participation in promotions. For example, Dairy Queen has had their massive«$ 5 Buck [sic] Lunch» sale going for quite awhile now. My favorite part of that deal is the $ 1-upgrade-to-small-blizzard, or, at the very least, grabbing a coupon to have the sundae later. This is a franchisee-determined-option, meaning owners can opt out if they want to, and in this case, the owner has opted out. They should inform employees a bit more on the why(«we lose money on the small blizzard» is perfectly acceptable), because as it is, the explanation is typically«I dunno, the owner says we can’t do that. Other DQs will though.» Anyway, not a bad place to stop in if it’s convenient and the food ain’t bad. I would suggest the MacArthur DQ over this though(basically every one of my «faults» is a nonissue there).

They take forever to get orders out that don’t include hot food. It is seriously ridiculous. I have to wait at least 10 mins

Don’t get me wrong, I love DQ but this one is horrible. 15 minutes to get your order is ridiculous– nothing fancy just a burger and fries. I asked for no cheese so of course they put cheese on it. When you go to fast food it shouldn’t longer than it takes you to make it at home.

Where do I start with this review. My husband visited on June 28th and didn’t have a very good experience and we were only there for 10 minutes or so! 1. The person in front of us ordered and the cashier got their order wrong and the customer was annoyed. 2. We ordered 1 ice cream cone(but in a dish as we were taking it to my grandma), and 2 blizzards to go. 3. We got 1 ice cream cone, 1 ice cream in a dish, and 2 melting blizzards. 4. Cashier said, «don’t worry it’s only 1:30pm it’s practically morning still, and I just woke up at noon!» Granted, she was very nice. 5. The manager had to give me some money back because my order was wrong. When this happened my husband noticed something very interesting. First, the manager was yelling out orders, yet it wasn’t loud and there was no reason to be yelling and so on edge. The second thing I’m going to not post for everyone to see, but highly encourage the owner to contact me personally about the 2nd issue we saw, which is a VERY big issue. I usually don’t go to this Dairy Queen even though it’s closest to my home. I don’t go because it’s not that clean whenever I do go. I will continue to drive to the Dairy Queen in the Heights.

After scouring the northwest, I finally found a Dairy Queen that hand dips their butterscotch dilly bars. Fast, friendly service… and again, they HANDDIPTHEIRDILLYBARS!!! I can’t stand the shipped in bars that are so over frozen that they hurt your teeth. I hereby dub this place the Dairy King!

Seriously, my favorite restaurant. Who wouldn’t love a 5 course ice cream dinner. Dairy Queen should sell a cooking for children cookbook. Start with ice cream, add your favorite sugar and serve.

Good food, decent service, and a DRIVE-THRU! This one does great on the dipped cones, and the burgers are fresh, hot, and full of flavor; you can tell they really did cook it just for you. The service does slow down when the line stacks up, but assuming they don’t have a trainee working the window, the place is still pretty good. I’m glad we don’t live any closer to this one, it might make our dipped cone addiction a little too easy to satisfy! Last note, we’ve never actually had bad service here; the worst you could say is «slow when they’re busy», and that’s saying something. We do expect better service from DQ than we do from bigger fast-food chains, and we’re not disappointed when we come here.

Great Earthquake brownie sundaes and awesome blizzards(try the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup one). There is something about this soft serve that I love. So smooth, light and creamy. I haven’t had the food at this location yet but since I work a couple blocks away I will try it sometime. I mostly come here at night to fulfill those ice cream cravings. They are open late until 11 pm during the weekdays and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. My only complaint is that the drive thru is a little awkward and I’ve almost been hit a couple times by cars not paying attention and backing out of parking spaces. Just be super aware and lay on the horn if that happens. Overall, great ice cream!

This place has never changed in the past 20 years and I love it! The thing about Dairy Queen is its always been consistent inside and outside their restaurant;. Their menu never really changes, and it always looks kind of dirty in the inside likes its never been remodeled ever! but i keep going back and why not? those delicious frozen desserts are perfect on a hot summer day. Everyone loves Blizzards! If you want the best chili cheese dog ever go to Dairy Queen, I have tried them several places and always been let down. but on a whim i tried one here and it was so gratifying, It is the most perfect chili cheese dog i have ever had!

I think what I got was two double cheeseburgers for $ 3 and a frozen coffee drink(first time drinking coffee since I was 10 years old). Drink was very granulated and I had to «crunch» my way through it, and the burgers didn’t seem very well-formed. The meat was literally flaking off in all directions and caused me to make a mess on myself, right before a job interview. Also, I will be a heretic: Blizzards suck. Yeah, they satisfy your sweet tooth… in the same way pouring sugar in your mouth does. At every Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to, the Blizzard toppings have been stale and simply not good, and for a place that centers itself on dairy monarchy, the ice cream part of it is pretty bad too.

So, I order a FRESH banana shake and what do I get? POWDEROFSOMEKINDANDBANANAFLAVORING… INOTHERWORDS, CRAP! I tried them again and ordered a hot fudge sundae, I got chocolate NOT hot fudge. I will not be going back to this one, tried one on fourth plain too, its not any good either.

What’s not to love about Dairy Queen? Some of the«best» fast food available, friendly service, drive thru, and quick in-and-out. The mint oreo blizzard is freaking amazing. A small is more than enough to satisfy one’s sweet tooth. Try it with some Reeses Peanut Butter cups, too ;)
