Cascade Park KinderCare

Beware! I was looking for a nice, safe, fun place for my little one to go for a few hours per week; this is my tour experience:
Came in to the front and a large woman seated at a desk greeted us with a «wait a minute» while she proceeded to sit and type on the computer for 5 minutes. Not like we had an appointment to tour her facility or anything. She never did say anything else to us, or even look up from the computer.
After standing there awkwardly while she typed away, a younger woman came out to greet us and took us around. She was nice and tried to make things appear upbeat and positive.
Overall it was dirty– smelled horrible. The glade plug ins everywhere did not help.
The infant room was so sad. The toddler room was messy and loud. All the «teachers» looked overworked, stressed and tired. One teacher we caught coming in from a smoke break (we later found out she was taking care of infants)!!!
We ran out of there!
Maybe we just caught it on an off day? I hope so. I recommend parents tour it and see what I’m talking about. Ask about teachers who smoke!

This center has a very caring staff and director.
It is an older building and parking sucks. But the staff makes up for it.
Be prepared to spend a lot of money. Plus nothing is included — and they are always trying to up-​sale you to do more classes. Paying almost $ 1000 per month and they want you to go to aunts and uncles and ask them to pay for learning adventure classes and soccer program. Grrr!
But breakfast, lunch and snack are provided.

I love this center and all the staff there! Michaela is the new director and runs the center with love and a great family dynamic. You can tell that all the staff love to be there and more importantly love the kids! My 4 year old has excelled since starting their learning adventures program and my 2 year old loves going everyday. Great communication throughout the center! All teachers talk to each other and make it a point to share a moment with me every day! I would recommend this center to any and everyone! Go in for a tour and you will feel the love in that center :0)

This has got to be the worst daycare in this area. The director is awful and most of the staff with the exception of Miss Michelle, little Miss Ashley, and Miss Hilda are awful with communication. These teachers don’t talk to each other so if you tell them to relay something to your child’s teacher because she’s not there when you are forget it. The director has no empathy either. Maybe she needs to be taught how to be more personable and apologize when it’s her fault. She needs to be fired or should quit. I will NEVER ever recommend this daycare to anyone. You want a KinderCare in this area, go to the one on 117^th where ALL the staff is friendly and the management are amazing!
